Purchased 2 mr heaters at the home depot jan 25 2020 with 1 year warranty. one unit works correctly, the other one started leaking propane fuel so badly the heater was impossible to use safely. i contacted customer service, and the contact i made was effectively requesting i disassemble the propane heater and try to fix it at home. this would be dangerous and also void my warranty! i tried to explain that, but the customer service representative developed hurt feelings, and 'ghosted' me, leaving me with a warrantied product, with no support. the job of support is to issue a return authorization in this case.

Purchased a *** and almost immediately it started chewing up it's own insulation and spraying out burnt pieces of 'foil' (almost seems like the thin cheap dryer vent type of insulation foil). Upon searching, I'm finding out this is a very common safety problem. I contacted *** last April and explained the problem. A received a response from *** (employee name not disclosed publicly for obvious reasons). Appears they own ***. Although this product was (and is?) still under warranty, they said they would just send replacement parts (the foil insulation), which is not great service to begin with. Fast forward a few months, and no parts. I contact again. "It will be sent". Months go by with repeated emails, same excuse, in that there is a shortage of this insulation. New *** were, and are still being sold in the stores (local stores are full of them), so clearly, there isn't actually a shortage of this part. Contact them again, asking them to pull one off the line and send me the part as it's now a safety issue, and more and more burnt insulation is being sprayed out the front. Have not heard back from them now in a few weeks. *** should have immediately offered to remove the heater and replace it, knowing it's a safety concern. Instead they have ignored it (Well, first they made excuses for over half a year). Since this appears to be a common problem, I think these heaters need to be pulled from shelves. Will be filing a report with Consumer Safety. Unsure how an end user consumer would even pull the side to replace the insulation without pulling the whole heater down and disassembling.

Advertisement listed "blower fan" under product details and even pictured a fan switch. I even ordered an optional 6v fan adapter as recommdended by the site. The product arrived with no blower fan, making it very ineffective to warm a room. On top of that, sending back requires a 10% restocking charge. I expected much better from the manufacturer's Amazon account.
