I gotta tell ya, if you're lookin' for a company that's gonna get you what you need in a jiffy, Budget Heating and Air Conditioning ain't it. I ordered a downflow kit for my new unit and waited a whole week before they even called me back. And when they did, they had the nerve to ask for more money! Can you believe that? They said their vendor was chargin' 'em more and they couldn't afford to "eat" the extra $20. Like that's my problem, right? They didn't give a hoot about the fact that I was countin' on 'em to get my unit up and runnin' ASAP. Nope, all they cared about was their bottom line.

I gotta say, I've never had a company call me back and ask for more money after I already placed an order online. That's just plain shady, if you ask me. Needless to say, I canceled my order faster than you can say "rip-off." The only good thing I can say about Budget is they did give me a prompt refund. But that doesn't make up for the fact that they wasted a whole week of my time.

budgetheating.com is a really great place to buy your heating and cooling stuff. We got the DiamondAir mini-split system and it's just amazing! It's so quiet and works really well. We were really surprised at how fast it got here and everything was in really good shape. The people who work at the company are just awesome. The electrician we hired to hook up our system had never done it before, so he called the company a few times with questions. They were so nice and patient with him. I really recommend this company, not just for their products but for their employees too. I give them five stars all around. Thank you so much! You guys are the best!

However, just because something is cosmetic, doesn't mean that the responsible party shouldn't take action to repair it. If someone were to back into your car and damage the fender, it may be considered cosmetic, but the responsible party would still be expected to have it repaired.

I recently had an experience with Budget Heating and Air Conditioning that I feel compelled to share with others. I ordered a 2 1/2 ton Rheem Heat-Pump from Vic at Budget Air on July 7, 2020. I had it shipped to a freight dock of the Miller Ferry that services Put in Bay, Ohio. Miller Ferry received it on July 22, 2020, and I picked up the equipment on July 23, 2020. At first glance, there was no visible damage to the boxes the equipment came in, but upon unloading and opening the cardboard box with the air handler in it, I noticed damage to the top front corners of the unit.

To my surprise, there was no visible damage to the box, which was wrapped in black shrink wrap. It was evident that the unit had been dropped from a height when it was in the box and landed upside down pretty much square on the floor. The top of the box had the perfect impression of the unit in it, causing severe damage on the front side. I immediately called Budget and asked for Vic, but his response was not what I expected. He told me that it was not their problem and that my complaint needed to be filed with the shipping company, UPS Freight, the company THEY HIRED, and he totally blew me off. He didn't offer any help in any way to replace the unit and told me to talk to Lavina in the shipping department.

Lavina explained to me about the quality control and sent pictures of our equipment before it left their shipping dock. However, the pictures showed equipment wrapped in black shrink wrap on new pallets, whereas my pictures showed the equipment on OLD pallets. She also sent a DISCLAIMER stating, Regardless of the type of shipping you chose; again, we did not choose the shipper? I was highly disappointed with the way Budget handled the situation, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

In the end, I had to choose another company in Tampa, and I received the unit not damaged in clear shrink wrap. I highly recommend choosing another company in Tampa. It is essential to be cautious when dealing with companies that do not take responsibility for their products' damages during shipping.

It was all dirty and oily and had stains and fingerprints all over it. And it came in a plain white box, like they were trying to hide something. Randy said they'd send me a new one, but it's been three weeks and I haven't heard anything back. I'm trying to get my money back now, because this is some really bad customer service. I wouldn't recommend buying from these guys, they seem pretty shady.

I recently bought a metal return air can from Budget Heating and Air Conditioning (budgetheating.com). The website showed a picture of a Return Air Box, Register Boot 24" x 12" R6 with insulated sides, which I thought was perfect for my needs. However, when I received the product, I was disappointed to find out that the entire top side was made of soft fiberglass, not metal as I expected. This was a dangerous situation because the soft top continuously sheds fiberglass, which can be harmful under return vacuum.

The website description was misleading, and the photo did not accurately represent the product. I wish they had been more clear about the materials used in the product.
