room
I have stayed in this motel at least 10 times in the last year and never expect much. Last night I arrived and went to take a shower where I found a very obvious large clump of pubic hair in the bathtub... I wrote a note to the room attendant and was going to leave it at that. Then I went to brush my teeth and found what appears to be maggots filled to the brim in the sink drain. I then took photos of both complaints to the manager on duty. He passed the maggots off as rice, with little black heads... and gave me $10. I invited him to come investigate as I doubted it to be rice but he declined and as if now they are still resting there. I had the heat on high all night and it's blowing cold air still, needless to say I froze. I also specifically requested a room that would receive good wifi connection... it drops every two seconds and have had some better luck using the Super 8 open connection from across the parking lot.
At this time I feel I should receive a full refund or another stay free.
front desk at salt lake city, airport, utah
This complaint is from my stay with my husband from check -in 2:41pm, Friday, October 13, 2017 to check-out date and time the following morning which was 12 pm Saturday October 14, 2017. Location Motel 6 in Salt Lake City, Airport, Utah, 1990 West North Temple Salt Lake City, Utah 84116. Guests name Jessica Hopper-Roberts and spouse, Bryon Roberts. We needed to find a motel room, last minute because we had a 1-4 day time lapse moving from our old apartment to our new apartment. This was totally unexpected and we were lucky that I found a room on Hotels.com, given there was some conference in our city that left almost every hotel/motel with NO- VACANCY. So after booking online, confirming to pay close to $85.00, we went to the Motel 6, driven by a friend because neither one of us can drive due to disability's, which was 20 miles away from our new apartment. When I went in to check-in I had to wait about 8 minutes even though there was one other guest, but 2 employees working. I was told (from the employee that I am complaining about, who wore no name tag, and gave off a very cold attitude) that he was only taking cards, if I paid cash the other employee would help me. He then left after a couple minutes. No big deal I guess, so I waited and a gentleman named Mark served me next. Mark was great and he did explain all the details of my stay and I replied thankfully and told him I would return, but had to go get my husband's state ID (which we couldn't find but guessed it was at the pharmacy we just left couple hours prior to our arrival). Mark said no problem, please don't forget, and he was just really warm and smiled the whole time I was at the front desk, which was very nice considering I was not happy at all about the price and the wait. I walked to our friends truck to unpack it, and remind my husband we needed his ID in order for him to stay with me at this motel. No big deal at all. We were planning on going to the pharmacy to go look for his ID. Then walks up the other man who had just told me he was not able to help me at my check-in, and we all 3 welcome him with a warm smile, thinking he was going to do the same...WRONG. He says nothing close to a welcoming hello. He says everyone must have an ID if staying on the property. I stop him and say I wasn't aware, before I checked in, about that policy because I probably didn't read everything on hotels.com about Motel 6, simple error, we don't travel much. I told him Mark told me and we were dropping off our bags and going to find it at the pharmacy. And this guy (I never was told his name because #1 no name tag, #2 when he answered the phone one time while I was waiting he didn't say, and #3 the gal at the front the next morning didn't know who I was talking about when I asked her at check-out), he says just go get a refund since u don't have it. And for 4 times he said the same thing and I said to him multiple times we are going to the pharmacy. He never shut up long enough for me to say, we had a spare copy in our storage area of my husband's ID. And as for our friend, he was just dropping us off and helping me with our bags and leaving. My husband is handicapped and can't help me lift things, but our friend driving could and did, with no intention to stay. If you needed his ID to drop us off, duh, that's ridiculous. However, I respect rules and said I would bring it to Mark in a minute, let us finish the luggage (4 bags))). This guy was such a [censor], almost trying to force me to get a refund, then my husband says wait I found my ID and I ran it inside to Mark who thanked me. We had been there maybe 5 minutes and this [censor] didn't even give me a chance to breathe, yet look in pockets and bags. If I would have had more choices at hotels/motels, we would have said okay. Paying over $85 for a run down motel, in a horrible part of town, 20 miles away from our house, to have to wait in line, because he had no cash drawer, to be treated like this, you bet we would have loved to go somewhere else. However, we had no choice, but to stay, and my husband had his ID, and my friend, who helped us out with the id, and a ride, left the grounds. About 3:30, my sister and husband showed up because they wanted to know what we wanted for dinner, since our room had no microwave or refrigerator and there is nothing to grab a quick bite to eat at, within one block. I told them they needed to bring their IDs up front and they did and they stayed for about 20 minutes and left. They came again about an hour later with pizza and soda, stayed for about 15 minutes then left. IT WAS 7 PM. They also said Mark was very warm and that day that was the only warm thing about our stay. The room was okay. It needed a very good deep cleaning and it screamed "rent by the hour motel", but we had no other options. So next morning, we find out we need another night...no problems booking on Hotels.com, and I proceeded to the front desk and was shocked at what happened next. It was around 1015 am when I walked up the front desk and was greeted by a nice girl (she had a name tag, I just forgot her name I am sorry) and I told her we needed to stay again. She pulls up my information and tells me something like my name was in the DO NOT RENT list and she was sorry, but she couldn't help me and we had to leave. I start crying and ask her for a manager, and of course NO MANAGER. You are kidding why? 'Too much traffic and suspected illegal activity"...and I say why? She doesn't know that's all it says sorry the manager will be here Monday, call and ask then. And that helps me? How? Talk about humiliating and very presumptuous and like WTHeck who decided this? She says the same thing. So now I was left with no choice, but to leave. Maybe that guy was trying to help me by trying to make me get a refund. Doubt it. Obviously you guys turn off the light, you don't always keep it on for the guests. So bawling my head off, feeling lost and upset, I call my disabled mother to come pick us up. We pack and clean up and leave around noon. I stop at the office on our way out and I asked for the card and a few questions like who decided this? I had 2 guests before dark for a total of 35 minutes. On a busy Saturday, with a big convention in our city and all the hotels are booked, how can a manager not be reached, especially when you kick out your customers? Oh yeah, they would be in Monday, when that does me no good. And how much did I pay again? I was too mad to write it down, but over $85 for these 17 hours? Wow. What more can you say? We are finally moved and we appreciate Studio 6, for accommodating us and ids us with a nice warm stay. We don't get out hardly ever. We have 5 teenage daughters, we are both disabled (I have Lupus and my husband was interested working in the oil fields), we thought hey this might be fun!. Well we were wrong to a point. I never called and I have had zero til until 5am on a Thursday morning 13 days later, to write my complaint. Nobody cares I know, but I got some anger out by typing this letter. I never found out that man's name, but im sure he typed that in the computer. I figured asking for a few questions to be answered is better than hiring an attorney and suing, considering we both are legally handicapped and we followed every rule. So please answer to me why did this comment get posted to my personal information and how do I get it off, not like I will be staying there soon. Its wrong and quite frankly you should be embarrassed for having such garbage employees. THANK YOU for turning out the light and not letting me waste more $ at your run down Motel 6, Jessica Hopper-Roberts and Bryon Roberts.
Interesting read Ms. Roberts. I can't begin to say whether they should have let you stay or not. I can say that, for the most part, it is their right to not rent to you. And I can further say the $85 for a room is not much these days.

Date 10/20/2017
Location: Motel 6 Buffalo Airport 52 Freeman Rd. Buffalo NY [protected].
I checked in this motel on for work room #105 on 10/16/17. I checked out at 6:00 am on 10/20/17. I paid with debit card for the first 3 days and cash for the last. I stay at this location and Motel 6 often. I realized that I left my blue laundry bag in the room around 2:00 pm 10/20/17, when i arrived home.
I called the motel and the person at the desk said " they would hold it for me for 30 days".I said, I will be back on 10/25/17.
I returned on 10/25/17, I asked the front desk if they had my bag? The head housekeeper and Manager were present. They said they don't see my bad in lost and found. I asked "how can that be? It's a huge blue laundry bag with dirty work clothes!
She said we tell our maids all the time to bring things to lost and found, but sometimes they just throw things out!
I said, I called the same day i checked out and why would you just throw a big blue bag with clothes in it out?
She answered :IDK"
In the laundry bag was: 4 sets of work clothes. jeans, 4 Company issued logo shirts, 4 under amour boxers, 4 pairs of socks. plus the large nylon blue bag.

blood all over walls and broken door handle
I stayed at your Fife Wa location 4 nights. I was bidding a contract in the area and working long hours. I discovered the blood late one evening all over the wall above me and when I went to leave to let the office know the door knocker which had clearly been previously broken fell off and I was stuck in the room until
My significant other arrived and came in. When I told management of this they showed no concern or compassion for the situation. I believe I am entitled to at least 2 nights on you guys as a result of this ordeal. Not only is it dirty and gross and negligent to have blood spattered on the wall but also frightening and I couldn't even get out when I discovered it. Please let me know how this issue can be rectified. I have never had an issue w Motel 6 in the past but as a long time customer I am very disappointed at the way this was handled or the lack of there of.
my stay
Hi there,
I am so disappointed after personal difficulties I had to finding somewhere to stay.My friend recommended Motel 6 so I stayed at the one on CIRCLE 75 Atlanta Georgia. On arrival there was no one at reception.I was helped by the maintenance man he showed me to my room but once I had entered there was a horrible smell and the floor had not been vacuumed, he sprinkled smelling salts which was a lot better but was then too flirtatious for my comfort ...there was no remote in my room and my key kept malfunctioing.I got followed around by another worker who seemed very creepy .The trash by the elevator wash often left over flowing, there was drug dealing outside of the motel, the vending machine kept malfunctioning and on the last day the evelvator stopped working.i feel I should be given a refund, this was my first stay!
rude customer service/unethical behaviour
Was placed on a do-not-rent list in Grand Junction, CO because:
1) oil spot from under my truck. I cleaned it up but Rachel (blonde manager) and Tony (employee) were upset oil got on their handicapped parking spot they illegally park in. One manager was polite to help us. The others just said "google help to take care of it. not their problem).
2) cigarrette butts. There are lots of smokers on the premise. My husband stood by the trash cans with ash trays on them, but they accused him of smoking in front of non-smoking rooms. Some would be rude to him and yell at him to stop. Asinine when the employees stand in the same place. (girl with head shaved on side of face)
3) accused my husband of calling an employee "f[censor]". If that were the case, why didn't the accused employee kick us out right away when it happened?
40 They regularly rent to homeless who do drugs in the parking lot . I did not mind at all being put on that list. I was never coming back to this un-kempt, drug users den.

My GPS took me to the location but it was to dark to see it then so i left and after couple times going around i found and coming back to same place without lights the logo and parking was off. Not too friendly then the sheets were blood stains. I looked around and also the frame on door had it. The. Next morning i found more blood stains on the elevator. I felt the place is careless. I got 2 rooms and i want my refund rooms were 222 and 139 on October 21st to 22 2017 The motel 6 in Lemoore
motel 6 in pegion forge tennessee
We have stayed at this motel before and really liked it, so we came back. BIG mistake. The room that we were put in this time was absolutely filthy. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept, there was dust 3 inches thick on all the base boards, the bathroom floor was so disgusting with a build up of dust and some kind of gunk. There was hair on the front and sides of the toilet, the hairdryer on the wall was matted with hair and dust and the full length mirror had black stuff (looked like mascara) smeared across the middle of it. This hotel has gone down so much in the past 3 years and we will not be back. It was not worth the money that we have paid to stay here and if I could have gotten my money back for the rest of the stay and moved motels, then I would have done so. This motel needs to be shut down for a week and someone needs to come in and really deep deep DEEP clean each and every room.
the room itself
I stayed at the Motel 6 in Colby Ks on the way to see my son in Florence Colorado. I came home on the 21st with my granddaughter and we decided to travel a little farther so we would be closer to home in KCK. We stayed at the Motel 6 in Hays, Ks. The first room 103 my bed was dirty, there were several black small curly hairs and a stain on the sheet. I complained and James was very helpful and moved us to 104. Went to use the WIFI and found out it cost 2.99 and 4.99 which wasn't anywhere on the reservation. I went back to pay for it, James comped it which was nice, I got the 2.99 and it was awful, guess you had to get the 4.99. My granddaughter and I gave up and went to bed. She used her own blanket because she complained the sheets were scratchy and my bottom sheet had a bunch of little tiny lint balls all over it and the mattress so so crappy and hard I didn't sleep at all. The only good thing was the shower and the other beds mattress wasn't as bad as mine. We loved the one in Colby, we stayed there on the 18th i 104 I believe. The staff was nice in Hays, no complaints there at all. I would like a refund but I would be happy to know that you got this. I don't blame the staff but was very, very disappointed.
rip off
My husband and I was to stay the night at motel 6 in elizebathtown ky! We paid for our room and asked for an extra pillow due to my back problems! When the housekeeper brought the pillow to room she then went and told front desk that their was a strong pot smell in room! When they called up to the room and asked me about it, I told them that we was not smoking in the room! The lady then sent 2 guys and a housekeeper to our room! When he knocked on door he said police and when I opened the door it was just more staff! They didn't say anything at first just sniffing. I said what and he said yes there is a pot smell in this room! I again told him that we was not smoking in the room and that my husband was going in parking lot to smoke a cigerette! We don't even smoke pot! He then said you have 15 min to vacate property before we call police! When my husband got back I told him what was said and he decided that we was not putting up with that hassle from that motel so we decided to leave! My husband went to front desk to get our money back since we hadn't even been there for an hour and a half! They told him that we was not getting a refund because the room smelled like pot! First we do not smoke pot! Second we will never ever stay at another motel 6! Third I will tell everyone about this and blast it on social medea! Y'all need to get over yourself and stop ripping people off!
accusations they said I did I told them go check it out he said he didn't have time
I Mary twigs was placed on do not rent to because day shift In summer of 2017 said I used a fake I'd to rent room in fact night shift desk worker confirmed w her I was outside all night drinking coffee when I had to use bathroom I used they bathroom. But when I was asked about next day I told her when did I check out she said I checked in still I told her y my clothes in office from previous day & I been up there for 2 months the whole staff knew me so how did that I'd get passed in first place than I told her go check see who in room she said she not but I think very unfair cuz it really wasn't me
lack of amenities
I am currently at a Motel 6 in Danvers, Massachusetts and I am very displeased with my room. First I am spending $150 a night and the condition of my room is poor. Stained sheets, dirty floor, no shampoo in shower. Every hotel I have EVER stayed at has that complimentary. Now I have to go out and buy it at a store. They should tell you this when you book that their too cheap to offer this. Also, no free Wifi? Are you kidding me! For $150 I expect free WiFi at the least. For what I've experienced so far, I'm not looking forward to the free coffee in the morning. You guys probably save what didn't get served today for tomorrow. I will NEVER stay in another Motel 6 or subsidiary ever again! I will also post my experience on Facebook for all to read.

Worst hotel and motel ever
nightmare!!
My boyfriend and I encountered the worst possible place to stay! We arrived at the motel for check-in. The room was booked through Booking.com. the front desk person was tending to guests checking in, paying with a credit card. When it was our turn to check in, paying with a card, he told us that the point of sale was down and we would have to pay cash. Cash was given for the room and then took my ID and without warning, took a picture of my ID on his iPad. We asked about policies regarding this practice that neither have ever encountered and he could not provide us with anything. We asked for a receipt and we were told that could could not give us one. Really?!? Being that it was late and a long day of driving, we left the office with room key in hand.
The room had bullet holes in the wall, the linens were dirty and the mattress was disgusting with stains!
We left the room, with our items in it, for dinner. AS we were eating, I received a phone call from the motel asking if we were checking in?!?! My boyfriend told the man that we paid cash and that our things were already in the room. He told us that we were not checked in nor authorized to be in the room. We immediately left to return to the front office and the incredibly rude male behind the desk told us that he deactivated our room key and that we needed to leave the property if we didn't pay! I checked my bank statement during this back and forth only to find that not only did we pay cash for the room, but my credit card was charged twice! We spent 30 minutes explaining the situation to this person and what happened. When we told him our belongings were in the room, I was charged 3 times and we were not leaving, he called the police!
Once the police arrived, we explained the situation, again. The police were in agreed with us and told the person that we were to be refunded the money back on my card and to reactivate the room key. This is now day 9 that I have not received a refund for this and all of the trouble we had to endure for this disgusting room. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!
cleanliness and check in procedure
I checked into motel 6 in Albert lea Minnesota on 10/14/17 at 6:00 PM. First off the key card was placed in a much used envelope. I went to the room to find dirt in the tub, not enough to complain about. So far so good. I then checked the sheets on the bed and found that Papa bear had been sleeping there and must of had Mama bear with him creating baby bear based on the fresh stains on the sheets. I told the front desk personnel the room was not clean and explained the stains. She told me they were "construction stains" and not to worry about it. She asked if I wanted my money back or another room. I asked for a room. Her next comment was "Are you sure because they usually check 2 or 3 then take their money back. I get a room that the door was open and stripped of beds. I got my money back in cash because she didn't know how to reverse a credit card. She thanked me for not taking another room because it made her life easier. She then stated they have a ongoing problem with housekeeping.
rude and mean front desk clerk mexican lady
I wanted to check in early in my room. I made a reservation two people one and one night. I called ahead. First said nothing available and check-in would be at three O'Clock. I staid OK. Then Marchia called me saying there was something available downstairs. I confirmed with her and said I was on my way to the Motel. When I arrived Mexican lady said there was nothing available. Come back at three O'Clock. The lady was do mean and rude the whole time to me and my partner. She there was s glich in the system. She was being very discriminatory towards us. When I said this she got so mad at us. We said things and got on the phone to call security on us. Go outside in the building. Asked for a manager and said there was not one there. May not be one at all. We have stayed there a long time, put a lot of money at the motel. We make reservations so we can check in early. So we want this lady fired for what she did. I free night stay for our trouble we had to endure.
management
My wife stayed at the Green River Utah Motel 6 for two nights with our 6 year old boy and our dog. Her first night, there was no hot water or wifi. The next morning, she went out to the car and was locked out. She went to the front desk to re-key her key card and that did not work. Once the staff realized that lock mechanism was faulty, they had to contact their maintenance which obviously took some time. Mean while, my wife and little boy and dog were locked out of their room with all of their personal items locked inside. Once the maintenance person did their troubleshooting, they realized that the lock was broken and crowbared the door open. My wife was instructed to either leaver her belongings in the room while the maintenance person "tried" to fix the lock, but as it turned out, they had to order a new lock, but had no other rooms for my wife, kid and dog to move their personal belongings to. So, she loaded up her car and was told to come back later that evening and they would have another room for her. Once she came back later that night, she was in fact put into another room, but that room also had no hot water or wifi. She tried her best to be patient and brought these items up to the front dest person Leslie and the manager, but was met with ill- mannered attitudes. She called me while I was on the road for work and filled me in. I personally called the faculty and spoke to Leslie as a neutral party and she told me that her manager was in fact working on comping my wife her first night's stay. I also called the Motel 6 customer relations phone number and spoke to a very nice woman who called the facility to ask them to comp my wife one night's stay for being put out. The next morning my wife went to check out and realized that she was being charged the full amount. She inquired about being comped one night and both Leslie and the manager say that they never spoke to anyone and that my wife was being charged the full amount. My wife made her case that she was locked out of her room for hours, had no hot water or wifi for two days and had to move all of her and my son's personal belongings two times. I suppose they argued with her and here we are.
I just spoke to customer relations again and they were very nice and created a complaint file that would be going to revue about the management staff and her compensation for being treated so horribly and being charged the full amount.
Not to mention, my poor wife felt horrible about having to complain about these things with our 6 year old little boy watching and listening. Not cool and not professional.
front desk customer service
I recently stayed at Motel 6 on Bell Rd Phoenix, Az and it was by far the worst experience of customer service in my life! I checked in, got my room key, parked my car, and just as i walked into my room and set my bag on the table when i noticed that there was an used condom on the telephone. Disgusted and furious i quickly grabbed my phone to take a picture of the condom on the room phone. Then i called the front office and calmly let her know that upon coming into the room i was surprised to see that there was an used condom left laying on the room phone. The lady in an unamused voice that there wasn't much she could do but switch me rooms or give me a refund. While getting a full refund was exactly what i wanted after finding what i had. I was extremely tired and just up and leaving to find another place to stay was just too much at the moment so i reluctantly agreed to switching rooms. She informed me that i would just have to come back down to the front and receive another room key. After getting my second room key and moving my bags over to the new room i was getting ready to lay down for the night but as i pulled back the comforter and blankets i found a huge yellow urine stain. Exaughsted and disgusted i once again called down to the office to inform the lady of what the second room had on the bed. She automatically with aggravation in her voice snaps at me that she is "busy"and "there's not much she can do for me anyway because laundry is closed until morning " and "she cant keep switching me rooms all night she has other things she is trying to attend to" i replied " excuse me?! i didn't realize that my situation was a bother to you and i was being such an inconvenience. So i should just lay down on the urine stain and wait until laundry opens? " the lady then starts yelling at me that she doesn't have time for this" and proceeds to hang up on me.
bad service front desk
Hello, I typically do not bring my complaints this far but I feel this is warranted. My husband and I stayed at your Rochester, NY location over this past weekend. The motel was clean and relatively quiet however I was taken aback by a situation I had with the front desk. We followed procedure to "stay green" by hanging our towels so it wasn't necessary to change them out. Yesterday morning, approximately 7:30 am I awoke to shower. I realize there is only one towel, one washcloth and one hand towel. I walk down to the front desk and there were two young ladies there. I approach them with a "good morning" and was greeted with..."yeah?". Weird but ok. I then explain that there are two people in the room and housekeeping must have overlooked that fact and only gave us one towel set. The one young lady responded to my shock, "well we don't have any more". I was a little shocked by the terse tone of her voice. Then she said " there won't be any this morning." Then turned and walked away. Wow! I know that things happen, machines break, someone takes off unexpectedly, etc. But when I stood there shocked, she responded "what? There are no more". No apologies, no explanation...just walked away. I run a serious newsletter for RIT families living remotely to help them find good lodging. I have been doing it for 4 years. Unfortunately my experience is going to force me to warn people about your Motel. I am sorry. Thank you for your time, Ellie Flanagan
