My wife and I both bought new, expensive phones through Mint and signed up for a one-year deal in March of this year. Since day one, we have not been able to receive or make calls from within our home. If we have to make a phone call, we have to go stand outside. She has an Apple and I have an Android. We can text with no problem. The phones work great everywhere else except in our home. We had Verizon before the switch and never had a problem with calls.
I have called consistently over the last four months to customer service. First, we tried all the tricks to correct our phones with sim cards, Wi-Fi calling on etc. Nothing.
Another time I called and the service dept told me that they were building additional towers in my area and they would be done within a week or two. That was two months ago.
Today, I called again and customer service had me stand outside on hold while she called my wife's number inside. My wife never received a call (I told Mint that this wasn't going to work) and within one minute I got disconnected.
I called back again, waiting forever on hold. A guy answered and said this problem should have been fixed a long time ago. He gave me ticket #L2-517657 and was told that I would get a phone call back within the hour. So, I waited outside for the call...it's been 4 hours and guess what-no return call.
I hope some supervisor reads this and actually cares enough to talk to customer service staff and start training them properly to provide a service.
