Miller Pattison review: Cavity wall insulation

The south/south-west facing wall recorded consistently high moisture readings in the red zone on the moisture meter, confirming significant moisture ingress within the wall fabric.
The pattern of elevated readings is concentrated along the wall section highlighted in blue on the survey plan, indicating a localised but significant damp-affected area. The moisture profile and wall construction are consistent with rising and/or penetrating damp impacting the internal finishes and masonry in this zone.

I am selling my parents bungalow and its come to light from a survey that the cavity wall insulation installed in February 2008 has caused extensive damp issues in the lounge and bedroom. We are now having to have this rectified by a specialist damp company at an unnecessary expense.
