fraudulent charges repeated unable to stop

I work overseas and have been gone for awhile, upon returning I find several charges on my bank account for 69.95 at least 5 months, I contacted their customer service, they gave me a fake website to order a cancellation form, doesnt exist, called my bank they cant do anything unless I close my account, disrupt my life, and re organize all my accounts, to get away from these filthy scam artists, I intend to notify my local news station as well as mr. Clark howard to advise other people of this scam by microsoft, no wonder mr. Gates is so rich, ripping off people every day with this type of sad sick scam,

    They gave no phone no. just an email address Suppose to only cost 1.97 for 10 days and if you don't like it contact [email protected] within 10 days. I tried to contact this email said no such email. The page i copyed when i did this said customer service is available 9am-5pm mon-fri, Mountain time. This is a fake company making money off of people trying to make some extra money.
    Now i have to close out my account and it makes me made i fell for a scam.

I recently purchased an XBox Live Gold membership for my son at a cost of $99 and spent $100 for a wireless adapter all as a present for my son.

When he attempted to activate his membership he inadvertently typed his birthdate incorrectly. As a result he is unable to log onto any of the games of his choice despite their rating.

The next day I attempted to contact XBOX Live customer support only to find out they were closed.

The following business day I attempted to contact them again. This is where the real fun begins. I explained what happened and that I needed either to:

1) fix the account so that my son can play some games or
2) transfer my membership to a new gamertag so that we can set it up properly to play the games online that he has been playing or
3) refund the subscription so that we can purchase a new one

I spoke with John, Chris, Richard, Mariam, Ben, Alfred, (none of these folks were actually in the United States and there was a substantial language barrier) Tiffany and many others. All of them apologized profusely, but explain that there was absolutely nothing they could do to help us. We tried for 8 frustrating hours to get this resolved to no avail. It is unbelievable to me that Microsoft, one of the largest companies in the world, is either not competent enough to solve this issue or cares so little for it's customer that they choose not to. Either way, I am in the process of selling the Xbox and all games and accessories so that I can buy my son a PS3. And as much as I love Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint etc…I am absolutely looking into alternatives.

How sad. Shame on you Microsoft.

    My boyfriend had a problem with his Xbox with a setting for a game. Suffice it to say after he spoke to three people (non of them in the IUS I'm sure) none of whom had ever touched an Xbox they kept telling him his Xbox had to be fixed or it was the disk, which it clearly was not. His friend came over to our house and was able to fix it in about 5 minutes flat. I would recommend either speaking with someone who has an Xbox, even one of your son's friends, or maybe going into a Best Buy or a store that sells the Xbox and seeing if anyone there knows how to fix it. Microsoft customer service is horrible!

    I know this is a rather old complaint; but I'd just like to add that Microsoft has no right to limit the content available to people, as that is the responsibility of the parents. Their doing so is illegal, as they are to offer the same service to anyone, child or not.

extremely poor customer service, using fake microsoft name to sell its courses

I am writing with regards to your course that I had chosen to study the MCTS 70-431 SQL Server 2005 exam online registered on the 17th of February (Student id – Openit****4). But due to reasons such as lack of support from your staff, and very poor communication, I decided to cancel my course registration and requested a full refund for the same. Till date I haven’t received any support material including study disc and the printed version of SQL Server 2005 book as promised. Before I agreed to pay for the course your sales advisors would regularly call me but after the payment your advisors were not even available to receive the call. I had to call multiple times for the same.

It was on the second day after paying the amount I started realising that the service was not good and hence wanted to cancel the course then. But as a desperate jobseeker, I decided to let go the issue and learn the course myself despite knowing that I won’t get the support that was promised.

I was not at all comfortable with the online material on its own and hence the only thing that I was interested was the study material and printed SQL Server 2005 book, I called in many times for the same. They promised me it would be posted soon, but till date haven’t received anything. After I called them they started transferring my phone from one person the other. It clearly displayed lack of ‘Accountability’ in your team. As I desperately need to gain a certification for my job, the online material I felt was not very useful on its own. This event has wasted a lot of time from my career.

Don not trust these people, they mostly sell Microsoft courses and certifications using the following website What actions can be taken against them? Kindly help.

    Thanks Very informative I just spoke to microsoftuk today and was going to study an MCDST for £330 but alarm bells started ringing when the price wend down from £800 to £330, glad i read this review I thought they were part of microsoft until I read this.

    My boyfriend had exactly the same problem, he called to cancel the course after complaining several times that he had no support and the course material was out of date. He was transferred to several people each time he called, they kept promising to call back and never did. In the end they told him that they would not deal with him by phone and that he had to correspond in writing. So he wrote a letter asking for a refund and got one back saying he would get a refund for half the money within 30 days. 2 months later he still has nothing from them. He is logging a visa dispute claim as he sought legal advice and was told they were in breech of contract.

    This is true, am also in the same position. They don't give any support or advice what so ever and their materials are outdated and of no use. When i purchased a package for mcitp enterprise administrator, they promised me passed at first time for each exam to achieve the pathway, am still on the first exam and I've done it twice and i still failed, because they don't provide me with adequate material. I'll have to seek a legal advice against them and see if I can get my money back.

microsoft could care less about there customers and i think that its time the customers took a stand. we spend thousands of dollars on equpiment and games form a system that was poorly desgined. themn when the system cant handle the constant ammount of playtime that real gamers put it threw it breaks down and MICROSOFT wnats to charge you to fix something that should have been fixed before it left the desging stages. I havew had my system for 1 year and 2 months i got the red ring of death i used the towel method to fix it and now the CD drive has gone out i contacted customer service and was told that i have to pay to fix it this is insane i paied $575 for the Haylo 3 xbox console and have spent $1500 in games and equpiment and now they want me to pay th fix something that should not have broken this soon! I THINK NOT!!! as i i said before it is time that we unite against this growing issue of poor customer service and crapy products how many poeople have bought something and it either dosent do what it was made to do or it breaks. xbox live customer support and false charge

I really hate Microsoft! I wanted to cancel my monthly Xbox Live subscription. I phoned up the correct Xbox Live customer support number and succesfully cancelled it. She told me that my subscription ended on the 25th February and she asked if I wanted to cancel it immediately or when the subscription ends. I picked immediately as it only had a day left.

Today, 26th February, I notice I have been charged for my Xbox Live subscription. I immediately called the support thinking that maybe it was just a mistake. The customer support person tells me that my subscription previously had infact billed on the 19th February. So this means I have just cancelled my subscription that wasn't ending a day later on the 25th February but infact it was the one that ended on the 19th March.

So I have now cancelled my subscription immediately which I was told at first ended the next day when infact it had a whole month left. The customer support agent told me that this was an error to whoever I called to cancel. She actually admitted that it was the other customer support person's problem. She then told me that she can not give refunds or reactivate my account.

I feel that this is no way to treat someone who has just had money taken from them with nothing given back. It may have only been £4.99 but it is still a problem as I feel robbed. I feel that their customer support let me down by telling me a false date which has caused me a loss of money or equally a loss of another month of xbox live.


Oh my...I've been scammed... they got me twice. Earn Microsoft Cash is illegal and steeling my money. I can't stop these crooks??? I got scammed due to my poor financial condition!!!
Well then, my complaint is that this even occurs. How can it??? As advanced as systems have become it makes no since that they can steel & harm over & over to so many... & this same advanced system can't find & punish them. I WANT & NEED MY MONEY BACK!!!
How do I stop these thieves & get them away from my money???

microsoft fails customers

Two weeks ago our Xbox 360 quit working. My son said the picture went all funny, and then the video output just quit worked. Now, when we turn on the xbox 360 the screen is black, with little white dots. The sound works, but no picture.

Our xbox 360's warranty expired in November of last year. However, technically we are only out of warranty a month and a half since it was a Christmas present.

Since this is a known hardware issue, one which has plagued many, many xbox 360 gamers, we contacted the xbox 360 support line. We were informed that because we were out of warranty we'd have to pay over $140, or around $123 if we did an online repair request.

The only way we would be able to get an extended warranty is if we had the three ring of death. So, despite the fact that Microsoft knows about the no video output issue, they refuse to fix it and still continue to sell defective products.

I was told that there was no way for them to fix it for free, which is a complete lie on their part. Most companies, if they have such a wide spread issue, recall their defective products and offer refunds. But, Microsoft continues to siphon money out of their consumers with little or no warning about their product.

So not only did we pay $299 for a product of theirs, they expect us to pay to get a defective product fixed. The supervisor that I spoke with continued to insist there was nothing they could do, but having worked at call centers before I know for a fact anything is possible. They even refused to give a complaint line, which goes to show exactly how many complaints they actually get.

We have been a long time microsoft user. We've used many microsoft computer products, along with the original xbox. The original xbox worked fine for over 5 years and is still running good. Yet, within 13 1/2 months of using the xbox 360, it has already broken down.

We refuse to buy anymore microsoft products, not only because of the 360, but because of their lack of concern and care for their loyal customers. We deserve more.

I am lodging a formal complaint not only here, but at the better business bureau as well. Microsoft needs to get their heads out of the sand and do something.

    I also am filing a complaint against Xbox 360. This will be my fourth Xbox 360. The first two I took back to the store due to red ring. The other one the output stopped working and I sent it in 11-1-08. When it came back it lasted 5 months then it shuts off by its self. Microsoft says I need to pay them over a hundred dollars to get it fixed. Microsoft must be such a big company that they don't care about a little customer like me. They're con-artists that build trash, sell trash, then when the trash breaks they make you pay to fix it so it can break again. I feel more ignorant for even buying an Microsoft Xbox 360.

    I am from Mexico City and bought my 360. As usual, I had the ring of the dead, and tried to make valid my warranty with no result. The warranty was lost about two weeks before that. I had to pay 1, 500 pesos to make an extent of the warranty, but refused to. I took my console to a popular kind of "flea market" and had it fixed there. The fix was worth 700 pesos (less than 50%) and I had the chip installed (of course I was banned from xbox live).
    So I now use that xbox for playing my pirate games. I bought and xbox 360 elite for original games, but i am not willing to take risks: every 6 six months, no matter what, I ask for a "new" one. This way I assure a working xbox, even if the one I sent was working. I recommend that to you, if they won´t listen to complaints, I'll make them spend a lot of money asking for a new one often.
    By the way, I prefer PS3: They will not charge you for online playing...
    They will not make you buy a wi-fi adaptor! They will not sell you a piece of crap!

    This is obviously fake. It is way too stupid to be real. You won some lottery you didn’t know existed because you have an email. Come on man, I didn’t actually think that people even entertained these things anymore. My goal lately has been to try and scam the scamer. I hope i get lucky one of these idiots will actually send me money to try and trick me into thinking they are legitimate. If I find that fool, I am keeping his money.

My fiancee was bought a Zune 80 gb from his sister in September of 08. In December of 08 the Zune would not charge. I called the Zune department and they offered to send me a box (3-5 days) for them to repair the Zune. I received the box in 5-9 days. When I received the "repaired" Zune the paper inside said it as repaired with a replacement Zune. I got the Zune, hooked it to the computer after charging it and it does not work. I, again, called the Zune department and was told we do not give refunds, but we will repair it for you at no cost. Then I found out that they are sending me a "compatable" device, but they are not going to give me a new one year warranty on a device that they are sending me, and I have no idea where it came from. I am very disappointed in this product and if it is not resolved (MONEY BACK), I will be filling a lawsuit. I will also be posting this so other Zune purchasers, who are having the same problem (and there are many), to file suit with me. I called Microsoft Money back guarantee department and was told they are hanging up on me-and did! We paid over 350.00 dollare for this product and we are not being given to resolution to our problem.

    I have to agree . I got an 80 gig zune April last year . I had it in my pocket and when i pulled it out the glass on the face was cracked, i looked for the reason and could find none i didn't fall or run into anything so ...??? i submitted an online repair request and added a comment in the ( comment box provided ) that stated that if the glass was not covered by warranty than please contact me so we can discuss the price and gave my email address .with no response they sent me a box so i mailed it back to the service center it came back in the same condition with a piece of paper that said it was not covered by the warranty ?! excuse me !? remember the "comment box " ? yeah its an automated system so the service center primate told me and when i asked the price $80.00 bucks ! i was steamed upon request he got his manager who still talked down to me and i had to take the gloves off !this clearly not being the most intellectual group of people proceeded to tell me that i would have to pay $80.00 to have it fixed i asked to talk to the highest " labeled " person in the " BUILDING " ! My Bad ...this orangutan of a rep says hes it !!so here i am venting online until i can get the number of an official and believe me i will i will be happy to post it here and hope that it will travel through the universe until someone gets some kickback from Microsoft / Zune !

    I purchased a 80-gz zune over 2-years ago today it dont work and the store will not take it back I contacted microsoft who gives me the run around and keep giving me false information. They aren't standing behind their product this item should have lasted longer I cant even find how to return this to them even for repair or replacement... what do a person do when they think they have a good product and dont and the company want even try to help fix it or even get replacement for it.. I just need help in finding out what to do on replacement or repair ...

    My son signed up for 30 day free trial in January 2012, before the deadline we cancelled the subscription and removed my card details. Yet in Feb, March and now April they still take the £8.99 fee. The account shows as inactive and no card details are showing but they still take the money. Several emails but no response, cannot find a way to speak to anyone. This is fraud.

    The thing that amazes me is the fact that some of the biggest and richest Companies are alleged by scammers to be involved in scams, for example Katherine Hardoy @microsoft.
    As this powerful organisation has the whole of the computer -using world's short and curlies firmly and inexorably in its grip, it seems incredible that it cannot trace the perpetrators of these scams and inform the appropriate authorities of their whereabouts.

    fraud lottery scam mail me and demand money. They stole a lot of people from Middle East and Africans. She involved the name of previous PM Gordon Brown that he is supporting this process while he was a PM. I have hundreds of e-mails from him too. They stole almost GBP350, 000 only from me.

unauthorized transactions

I bought a microsoft cash 2 cd from this site, on November 10, 2008 they took out of my debit card account $1.95 for the the disc. I never saw in written that i was going to be billed later on for more. When i tried looking back into the site it said that there was no such site. Then on November 17, 2008 i later found out that $45.95 was taken out of my debit account. On my debit card account statment for December nothing was taken out. Then on the December 31, 2008 $65.95 was taken out my debit card account again, and i had already placed a complaint on this site a month ago but was cancelled because they never responded back. My bank told me to take this to the police to see if they can help, i don't know what else to do.

I just want my money back!

    I have been unable to contact this company to cancel this crap, I was also charged $49.95 which I thought was just $1.99, there is no phone number to call either, I do not want their product Success kit, my reference # is 850627956, please help me get this cancelled before I get another fee from my bank of $35.00 for insufficent funds

    I just had exactly the same thing hppen to me regarding a Green Tea Extract product that I didn't order and the amount was $74.95. After bing kept on hold, trasfered to a phone extension and leaving several messages I have received no response.

    Finally an email response cnceling an account that I never signed up for and no mention of a refund. I tried to reply email their email and to no surprise it bounced back as undeliverable.
