My Maybank account was frozen because i am a guarantor for hire purchase with a remaining balance of RM17k, less than 75% of the loan amount- without any notice and I found out about the unilateral action by the bank was an effort to recover the balance from the hirer.
I found this action as an unfair practice as I the recovery action should go through due process, and the freezing of the account have no other impact than making life difficult for the guarantor.
Claimed loss: RM290
Desired outcome: Unfreeze my account as it your action is an administrative action which is not legal
