Resolved car resale value

Hi Complaint Board,

My Complaint is against Maruti Company (True Value Outlet at D.D. Motors, Peeragarhi, New Delhi. The details of my complaint are as follows:

I've been cheated by Maruti True Value at D.D. Motors- Peeragarhi. I went to sell off my new Maruti Alto Lxi purchased in Feb' 2010 vide Regn. No. DL 1 CL 9847 (from Rana Motors- Tiz Hazari; Delhi) saying that the value of your car is just 2.05 lacs and after my denial they came to 2.15 lacs. I agreed to the same because I'm travelling overseas and had to dispose of my car. My car was in an excellent A+ condition (scratch-less, fully equipped with Central Lock; Pioneer Audio System; Sun film; Seat Covers) etc.. and this was confirmed by the person evaluating my car. However, next day when I saw on Maruti True Value website, Maruti sells: Maruti Alto Lxi of 2008 model at a price of 2.40 Lacs, today it's quoted at 2.25lacs still higher than what I'm offered for a 2010 Model.

My question here is- IS THE PRICE GIVEN TO ME JUSTIFIED/ACCEPTABLE? Either your dealers are wrong in quoting the price or information provided on the true value website is incorrect. I've been a Maruti customer always and would like to stay as well but if this is the negative response that I'm getting, I'd deny myself/everyone in my circle for owing a Maruti or even dealing with Maruti as they are fraud.

I've written to Maruti at their e-mail address many times but they have not provided me with a resoultion and/or a satisfactory answer.

I also referred them the link (unfortunately not working now but still I've the proof) attach for reference regarding the price quoted for Maruti 2008 Alto Lxi model for 2.25lacs still higher than what I'm offered for a 2010 Model. Also, i will be attaching a doc file with the communication I had with customer care team for your reference.

Pls. intervene and help if you can.

Resolved misbehave with customer and worst service

I am surprise on what basis you have made this service as “Maruti Authorized Service Centre”. They do not know how to behave and talk to the customer. All the above they don’t know their job except of charging and demanding money for the work which is not done.
Request you to kindly take some action and revert back with response on the actions taken
I am here to share my experience which I had with the Staff and Owner of Maruti Data Centre(TARDBUND SECUNDERABAD). I had given my Maruti 800 for servicing on 21st Oct’10. And I was suppose to get the car by 23rd Oct. I could not collect my car due to heavy rains and no power in the city. I had request to get the car collected on 24th (Sunday). And I had received call from the show room to collect my car. And I went with and expectation that the complete servicing was done. The bill amount was rs5059, without any further question in the mind I was ready to pay the amount. When I visited the work shop at 11:30am,
I found my car was not polished with wax which normally any vehicle is done when given for servicing.
The centre locking was spoiled.
Dash board was not polished.
Engine area was not cleaned.
AC ventilators inside the CAR attached to dash board was not cleaned.
Foot area was with full of mud stains and grease.
When I called the owner and informed these are things which are pending once the same is done I shall pay complete amount and was ready to pay rs4049.
He said I should pay the complete amount and collect the CAR or else leave the car their and collect the same on next day. When I said I can’t leave the car and can pay only rs4059 he had locked the main gate and for next 2hrs till the time I paid the complete amount.
At last I paid him just because my daughter was with me and to be more precise this guys and his team does not know how to behave to the customer.
I don’t know on what basis MARUTI like big company had allowed to publish their name and brand with these type of un-professional service centers.
All the above this service center does not give any receipt when they collect the car or make work order for registering complaints.
I have also attached snaps for your reference. TRUST ME THEY ARE REALLY BAD WITH CUSTOMER.

defective a star car engine

Dear Sir,
Please note as folows.
1. I was the owner of Maruti Zen LX from October, 1999 to Oct, 2010 and I had not faced a single major problem for last 11 years.
2. I have so much faith on Maruti that on 09/10/2010, I decided to buy Maruti A-Star ZX I (Sunlight Copper)on exchange basis from Machno Techno Sales Ltd, 4A Alipore Road, Kolkata:27. Car Detail as follows. Model:AMF- 310 / Chasis No:320107/Engine No:1220179/Key No:IPS 991/Date of Delivery:04 Km/Mileage:04 Km in the name of Sanjoy Bhattacharya of 4 Indrani Park, Kolkata:7000 33
3. At the time delivery it came to my notice that the distance covered by the car as per counter on the dashboard was 180 km whereas the logged distance on the owner manual was only 4 km. Being raised this issue, the customer representative informed that as per Maruti, they are entitled to use till 200 km before delivery if required. I believed him on good faith.
4. Before delivery I found that the car was not provided with seat adjuster as promised in the Brochure. The dealer ensured that they will take up this matter to Maruti and the defect was entered on the challan.
5. The car offered to me as per dealers convenience was manufactured on May, 2010. at existing market price . But the dealer had confirmed that all features on this car was up-to-date and no modification was carried out on this model since May, 2010. Again I believed him on good faith.
6. I have sent a e-mail to customer care stating all defects on 09/10/2010 and also on 11/10/2010 and yet to receive any positive response. They had cited all lame excuses for not providing sea adjuster in my car.
7. I went for a long drive from Kolkata to Maithon ( about 40 km from Assansol) on 19/10/2010 with my family keeping running in sequence for a new car in mind and my observations were as follows. With A/C in off mode, At higher speed the car is moving smoothly without any problem.
At slow speed, in second gear and in third gear, the car is taking long time to pick up speed.
During uphill climbing, even at a gradient of 20 degree in second gear, the car pulling power was very poor and engine started knocking and came to dead stop more than once.
This is unlikely in a new engine unless something is seriously wrong. Same was witnessed later by LK Motor technician.
I arrived Maithon and parked my car in front of West Bengal Tourist Lodge at 1100 Hrs on 19/10/201. At 1800 Hrs I could not open the door by remote key . Previously the Keyless entry system used to malfunction at times. However on further inspection I found my car battery had got discharged completely. Please note there was no pre-warning on the display panel during driving from Kolkata to Maithon. So it was expected that alternator performance was satisfactory.
8. I contacted my dealer (Machino Tech) and with their help Amron dealer at Dhanbad contacted me but they expressed their inability to provide any spare battery or make any arrangement for charging on 19th and even on 20th .Instead, they suggested to remove the discharged battery from place and transport to Dhanbad at their doorstep (40 km from Maithon) on 20/10/2010 being aware of the fact that I was a stranger to that place. 9. On 20/10/2010, through my dealer (Machino Tech), I had contacted Maruti on Road Service and they have registered my complaint but possibly could not locate my position. Finally I had removed the discharged Battery myself and transported to Exide distributor at Barakar (8 km from Maithon ) for charging for 24 hrs. Later with local help I had contacted LK Motors Private Ltd (Maruti Authorised Service Station/By Pass NH2 Chalbalpur, Chowrangi, Burdwan).They took my car for servicing at 1800 hrs and delivered on 21/10/2010 after adjusting IC Duty timing as per their version. Total charges of Rs 672.83 were paid for their attendance although the car was purchased only 10 days back .However they could not find the reason for lack of power in second gear and finally conceded that it is natural in 3 cylinder A-Star engine.
10. In between I had contacted customer representative of Machino Tecno and narrated my painful experiences after taking over a brand new car. They confirmed verbally by telecon that they will replace the battery, replace the front seat and sent the car for thorough servicing on 24/10/2010.
11. So my entire holiday planning was shelved and my mental peace is completely hampered after buying this brand new car from a renowned company.
12. After going through this experience and series of embarrassment, I have a feeling that the car allotted to me was a used car, possibly used on test drive for other customers, lying for a long time in the godown unattended and had been manhandled in the past. Please note other Maruti Dealers around West Bengal and also in Kolkata have confirmed that normally all new cars are delivered with distance reading on the dashboard roughly should not exceed more than 35 kms. After buying a new car if I have to sent it for servicing within 10 day, I do not know how many times I have to pay visit to your workshop in near future.
13. Now I regret for my decision to buy new car from Maruti.
With new car under warranty period, with engine knocking and absence of any pulling power in second gear during uphill even at a gradient of 20 degree, abnormal FO cons, intermittent starting of radiator cooling fan are all indicating towards defective engine.
I will highly appreciate if you take up this matter seriously and arrange to replace the car without prejudice.

Resolved no delivery time for vehicles

Dear Sir,

I am anot happy with the services of your Esteem Authorized Dealer Ms. T. R. Sawhney Motors private Limited, East Gokul Puri, Delhi - 110094.

It is regarding to the vehicle number DL8CNB 6108 which is at servic station and has to be delivered on 15th October 2010. But still they are playing games with us. Now they have stoped answering my phone calls.

What kind of management is with them? Maruti has no control on the Authorised Dealers and on there monarchy and monopoly of delaing with customers.
I am fed up with the policy of Maruti.

I need immidiate arrangement if some body is listening this complain.

And also requesting other users of Maruti vehicles to be cautious about the paper work and delivery system of Authorisede dealer.

my name is jay deep singh i am the owner of swift dz ire dl 4c am 2438. its on my mothers name mrs sunita with a very sad note i would like to tell you what i am going through from past 8 months related to, y car. unfortunately i met with an accident almost 8 months back but i was more unfortunate when i took my car to maruti sales and service nariana. when i went there i had to undergo all yhe pain to get my car repaired. they gave me the time period of 1 month which is quite a good time to get things fixed. i requested them to givemy car asap. agreed that mssd nariana is one of the busiest stations in new delhi.


after a month when i went there i was really shocked that work done by them was just like the work done by the ordinary workshop which is not at all upto the reputation of maruti suzuki


1. the doors was not aligned properly
2. bonnet was not aligned properly
3. seats were torned
4. interiors were scratched ruthlessly from inside
5. things were missing from the car
6. wiper nozzles were not in correct position


i tried and told them to correct up to my knowledge. as so they did it also but not completely. after a month wen i went for second free service i noticed that the painted portion was started getting yellow wwhich is just a rubbish thing. i went back again to mssd nariana. i dealt with mr khanna (insurance dept) he assure me that whenever u will come for the 3 free service you can ask he service advisor to inform him regarding the same. so i did that also but work was not up to my satisfaction.

on top of that 2 months back was a complete rainy season water was dripping from the left side of dashboard which is all stupidity and made me angry to write about all this.3 free service was dome by mr vijay bhadur. this guy really helped me a lot i think you should appreciate him.

with this experience i am not at all interested in recommending maruti suzuki car to any of my friends, relatives any other of my known one


so as an executive officer i would really request you to look into this matter and with your experienced team i would request you to give the positive response the moment you read all this. we dont want gifts and all from your side. i would really appreciate if you can get my car fixed properly.

Design problem in maruti cars with K series Engine
Hello Friends,
If you had purchased a maruti Estilo car with K series engine recently or planning to purchase a car please go through following message carefully.
I Engineer NK Goyal working as Sr. Manager Utilities in a leading Textile company purchased ZEN ESTILO with K series Engine (RJ13-CA-3375) in September 2009. I want to share my bad experience (which I gain at the coast of Rs.30K & one month mental stress).
On dated 25/8/2010, I were driving my car, there was raining before some time & roads were as usual filled of water. Car passed through bumps and got damaged from underside & low oil level came on dash board, as there was full traffic on road so I tried to drive further some distance in search of some safe parking position. I hardly droved 01 KM when car get stopped. I parked the car by manual pushing The Next morning Maruti Service person informed me that Car engine has been SEIZED being its Oil filter got damaged & all the oil got drained because oil passes through filter through oil pump pressure. As per maruti representatives this fault is neither covered under warrantee not under Insurance claim.
When I checked my self for ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS & future precautions I surprised to notice that THE LUBE OIL FILTER of this car is situated just in level of engine bottom which is the lowest part of car & also it is situated in front side of car. Even Its Level is much lower than bumper bottom & also no safety guard has been provided for filter. When I checked personally in many other cars like Alto, Wagon-R, Hyundai I-10, Spark, I did not find this type of problem in them. I get further surprised when I came to know that this problem is only with K series engine because in old version of estilo oil filter is situated comparatively on higher level. I tried hard to draw attention of M/s Maruti representative but no one took my complaint seriously.
So please note that if you have a new car or planning to procure a new car fist of all get information of position of oil filter & if you fill that position of oil filter is in accident prone area then please take special care during driving. Some of care you may take as follow.
1. If you saw low oil indication immediately stop the engine & don’t try to drive even a minute/km because in the engine oil pump lifts the oil & then pumps oil to engine through filter that-why if oil filter got even a pin hole then also oil will get drained in a time of one or two minute ( remember case will be same if you slow down/stops the car & does not stop the engine).
2. Never go to narrow road
3. If you plan a long driving you may keep one set of oil & oil filter with you for emergency.
All of you are requested that if you fill this mail is informative please forward this mail to all the people you know because it will save at least some of my friends from the problem like me.
I also request to please revert me if some one has faced problem of failure of oil filter.

design problem in maruti cars with k series engine

Hello Friends,
If you had purchased a maruti Estilo car with K series engine recently or planning to purchase a car please go through following message carefully.
I Engineer NK Goyal working as Sr. Manager Utilities in a leading Textile company purchased ZEN ESTILO with K series Engine (RJ13-CA-3375) in September 2009. I want to share my bad experience (which I gain at the coast of Rs.30K & one month mental stress).
On dated 25/8/2010, I were driving my car, there was raining before some time & roads were as usual filled of water. Car passed through bumps and got damaged from underside & low oil level came on dash board, as there was full traffic on road so I tried to drive further some distance in search of some safe parking position. I hardly droved 01 KM when car get stopped. I parked the car by manual pushing The Next morning Maruti Service person informed me that Car engine has been SEIZED being its Oil filter got damaged & all the oil got drained because oil passes through filter through oil pump pressure. As per maruti representatives this fault is neither covered under warrantee not under Insurance claim.
When I checked my self for ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS & future precautions I surprised to notice that THE LUBE OIL FILTER of this car is situated just in level of engine bottom which is the lowest part of car & also it is situated in front side of car. Even Its Level is much lower than bumper bottom & also no safety guard has been provided for filter. When I checked personally in many other cars like Alto, Wagon-R, Hyundai I-10, Spark, I did not find this type of problem in them. I get further surprised when I came to know that this problem is only with K series engine because in old version of estilo oil filter is situated comparatively on higher level. I tried hard to draw attention of M/s Maruti representative but no one took my complaint seriously.
So please note that if you have a new car or planning to procure a new car fist of all get information of position of oil filter & if you fill that position of oil filter is in accident prone area then please take special care during driving. Some of care you may take as follow.
1. If you saw low oil indication immediately stop the engine & don’t try to drive even a minute/km because in the engine oil pump lifts the oil & then pumps oil to engine through filter that-why if oil filter got even a pin hole then also oil will get drained in a time of one or two minute ( remember case will be same if you slow down/stops the car & does not stop the engine).
2. Never go to narrow road
3. If you plan a long driving you may keep one set of oil & oil filter with you for emergency.
All of you are requested that if you fill this mail is informative please forward this mail to all the people you know because it will save at least some of my friends from the problem like me.
I also request to please revert me if some one has faced problem of failure of oil filter.

bad condition of tyres and doors

my name is karan singh and I have purchased a new eeco in january from t r sawhney motors, dipali chowk new delhi. my car no is dl 5c h 2146.

I want to move your attention towards some weakness of this model (eeco). from the day of purchased I had seriously felt the problem of disbalancing of the viehcle and not on top speed but also when the car take sharp round.
there are a big problem of closing the doors from inside there are no handles so its lock is used for closing the doors. the sliding doors are so noisy.
the major problem with the car the tyres,,,,
my car tyres is completely rubbed from inside,, I had all my first three services from a m motors lawrence road new delhi, it is fully automatic authrised srevice station of maruti suzuki. I have done periodically tyres rotation from front to rear and I have also done the wheel allignment from there but I dont know why the inside layer of rear tyres is rubbing.
actually the condition of the tyres is so bad and I can`t bear the new tyres as well as I know about the maruti suzuki their products haven`t performed like this. I request to you please take a good and quick action as soon as possible.

i’m a proud owner of maruti suzuki ‘swift dezire vdi’. I have bought my car recently from a. m. motors, malappuram, kerala. I was quite satisfied with my new car. I finished 1st service also at the right time.

my happiness didn’t last for a longer period. recently, after 1500km, I had a very bitter experience on the road. when I was traveling in a highway I met with an accident. I was traveling in a speed of 60-70 km/hr. four people were there in the car. the road was clear and empty. there was no problem for the visibility also. but I was not able to stop my car. I had a braking distance of 45 meter or more. it was not just stopping even after applying the brake. car was totally out of control and it just went and smashed with the other vehicle. my car got damaged so badly and lots of psychological trauma for me and for my family too. thanks to the maruti for the damages in my car and trauma to me.

it gave me lots of sleepless night. I was just thinking if it had happened to a small kid or a pedestrian instead of the other vehicle.

I was not able to understand what happened to my new dezire. because its not a simple normal accident which happened because of carelessness. I could see the road and the other vehicle and I was trying to stop the vehicle. I was not alcoholic also. but without stopping, the car went and hit the other vehicle.

I know that there is a loss of control in electronic power steering, but I was not traveling in such a high speed. I shared my experience with my friends and colleagues. it was surprising that I got the same feed back from the other people too. that is they all are complaining of loss of control for maruti dezire sometimes. and they had the same experience also. so I just wanted to inform the maruti authority about the dangerous condition. and I don’t know if I should go ahead with the legal procedures for the company’s product defect. so I kindly request you a proper technical explanation for the same. (I do feel so safe in using my maruti 800 than my new swift dezire, because of this brake defect.)

as a doctor, honestly I want to tell you that its a matter of life, nothing else. so I hope you will do the needful and get me a reply.

    I am an NRI and 3 months back I booked for Maruti Swift Dzire Vdi silky silver on my fathers name, going by the dealer’s (AVG motors –Thiruvalla) commitment of maximum three months after paying an advance of INR 50, 000. Now when approached they expect this to take 3 more months. Is this normal with Maruti (COUNT ON US), or is the dealer’s role questionable. The company’s website says “one million promises”, the company should be serious about its commitment with customers and fulfill its promises. Why is Maruti not making this clear as to when they can deliver, or if they can’t do it why do they take bookings along with advance?

    There is nobody from the company whom you can contact.

    i booked swift dzire in pondicherry by paying 50, 000rs.Dealers asking me 1 yr or above for delivery.i really dont no what is happening.Dealers are telling me that they are getting only 5 vehicles per month and they have 83 bookings.why cant maruthi company take some serious steps to rectify this problem.taking booking money50, 000 and telling me to wait for 1yr is rediculous.please tell me how to solve my problem

Resolved delay in delivery of maruti swift dzire

Dear Sir,

I have booked maruti swift dzire VDI from Bandsons, Amravati on 17th July, 2010. At the time of booking the car dealer has give me 90 days commitment for the delivery of car. They have not yet delivered the car. The 90 days is going to expire on 17th Oct. But now they are keep on postponing the delivery date. Hi new car buyers!

110 days before i was booked Swift Dezire VDI in Popular Maruti Showroom in chennai. Actually they told me "within a60 days we will delivered your car sir, " but still after 110 days i can't get vehicle. so new car booking guys don't believe this fake sales executive guys statements.

Even if written confirmation given by the car dealer car(Swift Dzire) to deliver the car within 60 to 70 days but after 77 days car still not be delivered and dealer not giving anyconfirmation that when it will be delivered. Saying it will take another 30 days.

He may be cheated us as delivering the car by some way to make mony.

service faulti, vehicle scratched from inside and outside

I had got vehicle wagon r serviced from Maruti Hisar dealer, modern automobiles but not only my vehicle was not serviced properly and the only complaint while handing over my car for service was not attended to but also my vehicle was scratched from inside and outside apart from cigarette lighter was stolen from my car. My car now is giving much problem post service.

1. Car was scratched from inside.
2. Carpet was opened to be cleaned, has been charged for but was not properly cleaned/washed where as my car was delivered after three days.
3. There is a dent on the lower co passenger side door from outside that is deep enough for rusting.
4. Gear shifting in the car has worsened and is not smooth as even preservice condition.
5. The mileage of the car has gone down as was not ET all expected after third service.
6. There is a problem of car pickup also.
7. Car cigarette lighter has been stolen from the car.

I brought the entire points in the notice of the general manager of the dealership, Mr. RK Chahal, but he not only refused to acknowledge the same but also went on to say that it is purely your mistake for not checking the vehicle while taking the delivery. And all the scratches that have been done to the vehicle are done by you only.

I am really disturbed with the way I was treated by the dealership this morning. I had left the dealership in just shear disgust. I will never recommend that dealership to anyone from the region. May I look forward to some help from Maruti, because all Modern dealerships are alike? May I be given a helping hand in getting the vehicle serviced from any good dealership or I will have to go to unauthorized service station? Had that been the case I will never purchase a Maruti product ever in my life again.

I am Saksham Jindal beg to state that i owned Maruti Suzuki Black Alto Lxi with Registration no:-HR 03 J 2824 . I met with an accident on 30th Dec 09 last year and i have given my car for repair to Berkeley Workshop, Panchkula .They returned my car in Feb10 but i am not satisfied from their work done by them because i noticed some problems like paint, damaged roof, dents on all parts etc.When i complained about this to Manager, they promised me that they will do all the work again.So i submitted my car again after few days of delivery and they returned me in April 10.Even now i am not satisfied with service provided by Berkeley, as i am facing paint problem which started errosion from each corners of my car.And when i have my car back in April, i got scratch in my car interior at various places, speakers damage, tear & wear in seat cover.During this period they painted my whole ar 4 times and i also told to bring some components like quater panel from Tricity Automobile as because they are not having that item in stock from long time.I even lost my central locking system remote from their workshop and when i asked about it they said, i will be given new one which they have given after a period of one month.
In that time (April10) they(Berkeley Automobile) have taken another claim against my car without my knowledge with my fake signature and i waas acknowledge about this act after i got a letter from Insurance Company(National).Regarding this act i complained in Maruti Suzuki Helpline (Complaint no:- [protected]) and also in Regional Office, Chandigarh where i also submit the fake document to Mr Mitar .Even i asked about this act to Berkeley and i told them i will be going to Consumer Court and Press, they replied that their Firm i.e Berkeley Automobile Ltd, Panchkula did not get any effect on their business & reputation.And after that they sent a man to my home at 11 pm on 9th Sep 10 .I am not getting response from Maruti and your Regional Office till now. Today 20th Sep 10 I have a talk in Mruti Helpline, they informed me that the complaint by me is closed which was also without my knowledge.Today i got new complaint no.-[protected] from helpline.I need a response from your side and also contact no. of Higher Authorities otherwise I will be putting case in consumer court as well as publish in press.I even boycott from your company and suggest other to do so.
I would like to hear from you as soon as possible.

After submit this mail to Maruti the person from Maruti Regional Office, Chandigarh calling me for a meeting.In meeting he was also taking side of Dealer and saying that how can you prove that they cheated you.

I mr. nilesh gordhanbhai chothani, has purchased new wagon r lxi from amar cars pvt ltd at anand, gujarat on date 15-08-2010.
While driving the car through water of one feet level under rainy season on date 10-09-1020, the car was not performing well initially and just after it was stopped. i tried to start the car but not successed. mean while i arranged to reach to nearby maruti service center perfect auto service at junagadh, gujarat and asked the authorised person about the problem. he saidthat the engine is locked and it required to check thoroughly. after his inspection it was found that the pistons, rods and valves are damaged. how such thing happens with simply starting the car, i have doubt there may be any defect previously in the engine otherwise simply starting the car will not damage piston and valves. the same types of problems were found by me to other costumer at perfect auto, junagadh and at amar cars at anand with new wagon r model. while my driving through water, other cars like tata indica, alto, and old wagon r (duo) were not failed.
While i asked to the perfect auto and amar cars about warranty and insurance of car because it happens within month from the purchased date, the person has not answered in well manner. he simply said company is not responsible for damage in engine for the said problem. even they were not ready to give e-mail address of head office to book complain.
Later on, i call to head office on no:[protected], he give me the mail id to write the complain.
My question is, why company is refusing to repair the car under the warranty condition. as engine is the core part of the car and if company will not take care of service after sell then it is difficult to trust on e maruti predicts.
It was found by me and also heard from maruti authorized dealer that the performance of the k-10 series engine is very poor than other model of same company and other company made car.
I am not blaming the company but you yourself check the numbers of new series wagon r which are now in service due to such problems under varies service center, you take the feedback not only from your company service center but from the heart of costumers because when company not providing proper service under warranty period it directly hurt to the costumers at large and be unable to find interest in such prodect.

On 03-09-2010, one agent of m/s mohan motor udyog conveyed over telephone that the company has withdrawn the discounted amount (offered in aug`10) in sept `10and the price has been hiked over rs.2000/-

After booking a car, now some questions are arises:-

1. as your delivery period is about 40-50 days, surveying of the most booking car in a particular month, so you are allowing discount next month heavily on the slow selling /booking and ceased discount on the fast selling/booking car by luring and making prey to the new customer on false promise as you are unable to deliver in the same within a month.

2. what is the necessity of booking car, if the customer have to pay as desired by you (delivery & discount is on your control)?

3. as you hold every right to ceased/reduced the promised discount & price rise without prior intimation to the customer, the customer should have to be allowed to cancel the same without deducting booking money.

You are requested to look into the matter to allow me the promised discount or may be allowed to cancellation of booking without deduction of booking money.

I had some bad experiences with Maruti Link (Maruli authorised service dealer in Salt Lake, Kolkata) which I wanted to share. I am not expecting that someone would take action, but to caution customers specifically staying in Salt Lake / Newtown area so that they are aware.

My car recently met with an accident. I took an estimate from them and they repaired the car post approval from the insurance company. I "explicitly" told not to repair one of the doors, whose repair cost was not approved by the insurance company. Despite that they went ahead and repaired. Hence I had to pay money out of my own pocket for the repair of this door.

This was not a new "shock" for me as it was my mistake that I trusted someone where customers don't want to go again. in the past I remember that once I gave them my car for services and they tended to add other parts which are usually not required and made me pay for this. I thought these were genuinely required, but on alter opinion of my friends I realised that this is a very common practise at Maruti Link. Despite its monopoply in the radius of 10-15 kms it has not able to retain its customers because of its bad business practices.

This refers to one of your dealer called “Akanksha Automobiles Pvt. Ltd” situated in Moradabad, who has been harassing us for past 4 months. We have booked a Swift Dzire from the above dealer & its details are mentioned hereunder.
(1) We booked Swift Dzire VXI petrol version, Metallic Sovereign Blue on 2nd May, 2010. In the name of Dr. Sanjeev Mehrotra & deposited Rs.100000. (Receipt no: 2074, dated 2nd May, 2010).
(3) On 4th June, 2010 we were called up to take delivery of our car & deposit the balance money.
(4) On 5th June, we deposited Rs. Rs.514975 (Receipt no: 2213), financed by our bank.

Surprisingly, the car was not actually present in their show room & we were then, assured to get our car delivered, latest by 10th June, 2010.

(5) We helplessly pursued them till 29th July, 2010, when we were finally intimated that our car has been received for the final delivery.
Unfortunately, having monitored the car, we found that the color was badly done, with a number of spots & scratches. In-fact, it seemed to be a pre owned car or a car that is normally kept for a test drive. We refused to take its delivery. “Akanksha Automobiles Pvt. Ltd” accepted to raise the matter with the respective office holders at Maruti Company & assured us once again, to deliver the said car with in a month’s time.
We visited “Akanksha Automobiles Pvt. Ltd” several times. We are not only neglected, but badly treated & insulted. We have following points to bring to your notice.
(a) We have come across several acquaintances, who have booked Swift Dzire for mere Rs.50000.
(b)Why we are extra charged (Rs.100000) & what actually is the company policy for booking a car.
(C)If the said car was not received by “Akanksha Automobiles Pvt. Ltd”, why we were asked to deposit the final balance.
(D) We have been paying monthly installments to our bank, without actually using the car. Our bank has been asking for the registrations papers, insurance papers etc, which we are unable to produce. In case we even surrender or cancel the car now & pay back our bank, we may suffer minimum loss of Rs.25000.
We are virtually ignored & misguided & this amounts to fraud & misrepresentation. We have also sent a registered post of this letter to Maruti Udyog & look forward to your kind guidance to solve our case. In otherwise situation, we are bound to file a suit against Maruti Udyog & the said dealer to claim compensation.
