Marley Spoon — delivery
I'm absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism & efficiency with Marley Spoon. In the last 5 weeks, I have had 2 deliveries sent to the wrong address 2 weeks in a row. Compensation for both weeks was just 1 free box (although they say 2, one being the one I'd paid for both times!).
Another week was a delay to the delivery. Customer Service initially said it wasn't being delivered. I had to persist and insist they find out why?!?!? Apparently no boxes made it to Cairns. Offered $15 off my next box. Mind you, this took several phone calls and an immense amount of angst. Second customer service officer said they'd compensate with the next box free. I kept checking & this was not applied. Box did eventually arrive, but definitely disrupted plans. I had also received a text message at 3.02am stating to enter code ARR30FREEU to receive $30 off & a free box. 9.54am received another text saying sorry, you received a wrong SMS. As an apology we'd like to offer you $10 off!!! By now, I'm going insane.
Just today, I have been expecting delivery of a box. Thought.. I haven't received a text message the day before saying it was on it's way & a tracking link. So, I ring customer service & speak to the same guy, Maria. Is he the only one working there?? He has now copped the brunt of my frustrations. He advised me there was no data concerning my delivery & believes it to not be on it's way. I'm now a raging bull. I have asked last time to speak to Australia. He said this wasn't possible unless he asks them to call me (which last time they didn't).
Maria & his crew in Portugal are well spoken & have product knowledge. However, they can only do so much in real time. I think it's absolutely disgraceful that they only have electronic communication with Australia. I am now waiting for a phone call as my case has been escalated again. I have said 24 hours return phone call is no good enough & expect to hear within an hour. Get your act together, Marley Spoon.
