I recently had the unfortunate experience of purchasing crab from [Establishment Name]. My expectations were high, given the reputation of the place, but what I received was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my disappointment to prevent others from facing a similar ordeal.

Upon arrival, I was immediately taken aback by the steep price of the crab. Despite the cost, I decided to proceed, expecting a premium culinary experience. However, my hopes were quickly dashed as I began to notice signs of trouble. The crab's texture was spongy, and even at first glance, it was evident that the crustacean was past its prime.

As I attempted to savor the dish, it became increasingly apparent that the crab was not only old but also poorly prepared. The meat practically disintegrated as I tried to handle it, making the eating process messy and far from enjoyable. The taste was far from the promised freshness and succulence that one would anticipate from a dish of this caliber.

Regrettably, my ordeal didn't end with mere disappointment. Soon after consuming the crab, I began to feel unwell. It was evident that the quality of the seafood was far from acceptable, as the subpar product had a direct impact on my health. This unfortunate incident not only ruined my dining experience but also left me questioning the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction and food safety.

While I understand that culinary experiences can vary, the extent of my disappointment cannot be understated. I expected to be treated to a delectable meal that justified the high price tag. Instead, I was met with a product that was both overpriced and of abysmal quality. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.

I urge anyone considering to think twice before splurging on their offerings. The crab I encountered was a prime example of how a well-regarded place can fall short of expectations and compromise customer well-being. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in quality from a restaurant that should pride itself on delivering excellence.

I placed a order for collosal crab and what I got was something I could buy out the store. I have made several attempts to correct the issue.

This company got some fishy reviews on their website. I checked out their Facebook page and found real reviews with a measly 1.8% rating, while their own website boasts 5-star ratings. I even left some negative reviews about product problems, but they conveniently never posted them. It seems like they only want the good stuff. When I complained about their products, all they gave me were excuses. The email exchange ended with a polite "Have a nice day," but no solution. I ain't dealing with them again, that's for sure.

I wanna talk about my order from Alaskan King Crab Co. So, I ordered 10 pounds of super colossal king crab, which they said would be 1.25 to 2.25 lbs per leg. These legs are supposed to be really big and they charge a lot for them - $77 per pound. But guess what? My order came a day late. I ordered it on December 21st after 3pm, and they said it would ship on December 22nd and arrive on the 23rd. But it didn't ship until the 23rd and I got it on Christmas Eve.

Now, here's the real kicker. When I got the crab legs, they were way smaller than what they advertised. On average, each leg weighed only 0.7lbs. In a 10 pound batch, I only got 14 legs. On their website, they call this size "giant king crab legs" and they say they weigh 0.5 to 0.75lbs per leg. And you know what? They charge $60 per pound for this size. So basically, the website doesn't match what they actually send you.

I reached out to them to complain, and you know what they said? They said they did ship 10 pounds of crab, and they offered me $75 off my next order. But here's the thing, I'm not disputing that they shipped 10 pounds. I'm disputing that the 10 pounds they shipped were not the size they charge a premium for and advertised. They're basically charging me an extra $17 per pound for nothing.

So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Alaskan King Crab Co. The crab legs were smaller than expected, the order was late, and they didn't even try to make it right. I won't be ordering from them again.

On May 25, I ordered 3 lbs. of Gian Red King Crab Legs from Alaskan King Crab Co. I paid $175.38 for the crab legs and an additional $24.95 for shipping, making a total of $200.33. The crab legs were supposed to be delivered overnight by Fedex on May 27. However, they didn't arrive until May 28 at 1:14 p.m. When I opened the box, I noticed that the crab legs were completely defrosted. The smell coming from the sealed bag was terrible, indicating that they had gone bad and were not edible. I immediately contacted Alaskan King Crab to inform them about the issue. They claimed it was a Fedex problem and advised me to file a claim with them. So, I went ahead and filed a claim with Fedex. On June 8, I reached out to Fedex to check on the status of the claim. They informed me that they had refunded the claim to Alaskan King Crab Co. I contacted Alaskan King Crab again, but they denied receiving any refund, even though it took several emails to get a response from them. Frustrated, I called Fedex once more today, only to be told that because Alaskan King Crab didn't declare the value of the shipment, they could only refund $100 plus the shipping fee of $24.95. I shared this information with Alaskan King Crab via email, and this was the response I received on June 15, at 12:24:54 PM CDT: "Ginny, Its very clearly stated above the shipping insurance that if you decide to waive it, we are not responsible for the package being lost, stolen, or damaged. You opted to waive the insurance and as a result we can not offer a refund of any kind on this package. Best, Andy." It's not fair that they received payment for the order and are now benefiting from the refund money sent by Fedex. The fact that Alaskan King Crab Co. didn't declare the correct value for the shipment is not my fault. Since I paid for the shipping, it should have been declared accurately. I believe I deserve a full refund.
