Sunbasket Beautiful food, excellent service

We've been getting Sunbasket for the past five years and I have to say, we've never appreciated it more than we have during the pandemic. Knowing we have healthy, delicious, flavorful AF meals to look forward to at the end of an uncertain day has been a certain comfort.

Sunbasket makes an effort to provide the healthiest, most organic, most delightful, high cuisine options out there. And when you can't get to your favorite restaurant like in 'normal' times, this has been the best alternative we could possibly imagine. Thank you Sunbasket! We love you!

Sunbasket Pleased!

Eating these fresh & ready meals at work has kept me satiated and content while I eat a paleo/Whole30 diet. My personal goal is to lower BP and fasting glucose and regulate my GI system. I don't think I'd be successful without SunBasket.

I've really liked almost all of my paleo fresh and ready meals I've ordered. One was just not my taste I guess but still high quality and very convenient. I did have an issue with accidentally selecting a meal kit instead of fresh and ready which increased my cost significantly and cut into my important bills budget. Customer service went BEYOND my expectations and resolved things!

Sunbasket It looked and tasted like a gourmet dish!

I had to laugh, I am not a cook, I dabble at cooking, but last night I served my husband a meal that looked like it came from a gourmet restaurant... the major difference being that I had prepared it! Amazing. The food was fresh and all organic, it was so easy to follow the directions and was ready in a flash. I am so impressed, I cannot wait to prepare my second meal! It looks like I am going go be a like long customer of Sunbasket! What a wonderful company, the food also arrives in all recylable containers. The recipes looks so good and what a variety. We will be looking forward to our 3 days a week of Sunbasket food every week. They seem very easy to work with, we are going out of town and I had to cancel a week and that was no problem at all, In fact they gave me a chance to change my mind. All very simple.
My new favorite!

Sunbasket I'm already pissed off at them & I haven't even received my first order

The customer service is via chat only, so you can't easily get anything on your account corrected. It seems like they randomly lock you out of things in your account, without notice of any sort - such as changing your delivery to every other week, while still paying for weekly account. Customer service is usually terrible from most companies, usually teenagers often with poor english or writing skills, but add onto that unapologetically saying that you are locked out and thinking they have done their job is pretty pathetic.

Currently my first order is a day late, with no notification of the date change. The carrier only gives a window of a date before 8 PM, which means you'll have to be home for a 12 hour period waiting for food - unless they decide to not show up that day. I fully expect most of my $300 order to have thawed/melted and gone bad. This company seems to be con-artists with no way of contacting a real person.

*** The account locking ended up being taken care of, but there have been multiple issues since. All relating to extremely poor delivery & notifications - the delivery carrier for SoCal is awful, and they are regularly a day or more late. With zero notifications that they aren't showing up, and no way to get in contact with anyone (much like Sunbasket customer service dept.). Wasted days sitting at home waiting for food. And when the food is delivered spoiled/thawed/rotting after days late, Sunbasket customer service does not give refunds or credit your account - not even an apology.

The responses that I got were basically "well, sometimes deliveries are late..." (which started to be the norm, not sometimes) One person in particular, named Brittany, was such a terrible Customer Service person that she didn't seem to understand that the company she works for is a food delivery service. Not delivering when promised, food not being edible after days late, and terrible customer service (even just getting an answer whatever method text/email/phone call). None of the three things of FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE were being done.

I canceled my subscription with Sunbasket and am using Home Chef, they give notifications ahead of time if there are delays & use a professional carrier Fedex that gives text/email notifications for when they are showing up, and progress of the delivery - so you can plan around time to receive it. So much better than some stoned Uber kid throwing your half destroyed box of food on your porch two days late.

Sunbasket Disappointed with Sun Basket's Use of "Axelhire" Delivery Service - A Customer's Review

Hey Sun Basket, I gotta say, I'm really disappointed with your choice to use "Axelhire" for your deliveries down here in Southern California. I mean, you guys make such a big deal about being ethical and all that, but then you go and hire a company that pays their workers next to nothing and treats them like trash. I mean, come on, guys, seriously?

Look, I get it - you wanna save a few bucks and all that. But let me tell you, it's just not worth it. I've had some really bad experiences with Axelhire, and I know I'm not the only one. They're just so careless and unreliable, and it's no wonder when you consider how poorly they treat their people.

The worst part is, it's not just about the delivery - it's about the food. I mean, your meals are incredible! I was really enjoying my subscription until I started running into problems with the deliveries. And now, I'm seriously thinking about canceling my subscription altogether. I just can't deal with the hassle and the frustration of dealing with Axelhire anymore.

So please, Sun Basket, please consider using a different delivery service. I know it might cost a little more, but honestly, it's worth it. You don't wanna lose loyal customers like me over something as silly as a cheap delivery service. So please, do what's right.

Sunbasket SunBasket Review: Overpriced, Poor Customer Service and Business Practices

So I thought I'd try out SunBasket again because with this pandemic, the grocery stores are super busy during the holiday season. I decided to order two meals which was estimated to cost around $53. But guess what happened? They charged me $77 instead! I mean what in the world! I only got some beans, an egg, and two pieces of fish. Like seriously, I could have gone to the grocery store myself and make the same meal for less than $25.

So then I tried to contact the customer service through their chat feature. But guess what? It was a complete waste of time. I had the same experience as everyone else who has had a complaint about SunBasket. The chat just ran me around in circles. Come on SunBasket, how long have we been in this pandemic now? Eight to nine months, right? Do you seriously believe that having poor customer service is still related to Covid? Uh, to me, it's just an excuse to not address the issues. Which by the way, were the same issues I had with them the last time I used their service. I always found an inedible something in the box.

It's been two years since I last used SunBasket, and it seems like things haven't gotten any better. I am done with them. I canceled my account and will probably give away the expensive fish and beans. Seriously folks, if you're looking to order from SunBasket, do yourself a favor and think twice. They are not reliable and their business practices are poor. I really wish I could give them negative five stars.

Sunbasket Disappointed with SunBasket's Keta Salmon: A Review of the Meal Delivery Service

I wanted to give SunBasket a go because I heard their ingredients are all organic and their fish is all wild-caught. I've tried Blue Apron and Home Chef before, but they were only so-so. So, I was excited to try a meal delivery service that has the highest ratings - even if it is more expensive than the others. And, bonus points to SunBasket for having more options like vegan, paleo, and carb-conscious meals.

My first meal from SunBasket was last night - seared salmon with panang curried cauliflower rice. The cauliflower rice was the highlight of the meal; it was very flavorful. But then, I looked at the salmon and saw it was labeled "Keta salmon". If you're not familiar with it, Keta salmon is chum salmon - which is bait fish! I tried to have an open mind and taste it, but it was so pale and flavorless. Now, for next week's delivery, I'm stuck with more salmon which will probably be that darn Keta salmon again. I'm so bummed with this company's lack of quality control.

So, I guess I'll be buying wild-caught soho, king, or sockeye salmon from my local grocer, which is an added expense that I wasn't planning on. Seriously, who even eats chum salmon?! I had high hopes for SunBasket, but it looks like I'll have to keep my expectations low and stick to the basics for future meals.

Sunbasket Disappointing Experience with Sunbasket, Switched to Blue Apron

I gotta say, I'm super bummed out by my experience with Sunbasket lately. I was a big fan of their service when I first started using it about a year ago. The food was always so fresh and tasty, and I loved that they were all about that organic life. Plus, the fact that the sauces were already made was a real life-saver when I was short on time. But dang, the past few months have been a real ride. I'm talking spoiled veggies, bags with food all over the place, random substitutions, and even some produce that wasn't marked as organic. What's up with that?

I started to dread the weekly Sunbasket delivery and ended up skipping weeks just to avoid dealing with the hassle. Instead, I turned to Blue Apron, which isn't all organic but still puts out some seriously delicious and fresh meals. And, bonus, it was cheaper than Sunbasket!

Anyway, last week was the last straw for me. The weather's getting hot and I don't trust that the produce would stay fresh for long (spoiled veggies, anyone?). So, I bit the bullet and cancelled Sunbasket (I did it online, in writing, just to make sure). They tried to keep me by offering me $20 off my next order, but honestly, that just made me more convinced that it was time to move on. I want good food and a service that delivers that, simply and without hassle. I'm sticking with Blue Apron for now, and maybe I'll try a new meal kit service later down the line.

Sunbasket Disappointing First Experience with Sunbasket Meal Delivery Service

I recently received Sunbasket as a gift and unfortunately, my first meal left much to be desired. As someone who works until 5 and doesn't get home until later, I don't appreciate recipes that say they take 20-30 minutes but end up taking closer to 45. I tend to cook using my sense of smell and experience, rather than following recipes closely. Additionally, I find it difficult to understand the words used to describe cutting certain ingredients. While there is one picture provided, if you can't see something clearly in that picture, you might be out of luck. What exactly does "pieces" mean when referring to a round vegetable?

I also found the provided spices and herbs to be underwhelming and not enough to add flavor to the dish. Salt and pepper were the only recommended additions, which resulted in a bland taste. Additionally, I found that the ingredients provided didn't amount to two portions. While there was enough beans for one portion, there was an overwhelming amount of radicchio, which to me was quite repulsive. Balance is important when it comes to ingredients, and there was a lack of balance in this dish.

When attempting to cancel my account, I found that it only suspended my account rather than refunding it. This required additional work on my part, which was frustrating. Overall, this experience has been severely lacking and causing more stress than it was meant to relieve. I'm considering forwarding it back to the gift giver because it was such a disappointing experience. When something that is supposed to bring relief ends up causing more stress, it's clear that there are major issues that need to be addressed.

Sunbasket Unresponsive customer service and food poisoning from Sunbasket meal delivery

So, let me tell you about my experience with Sunbasket. Normally, I love their sustainable approach to meal delivery, but unfortunately, I had a less-than-great experience with them recently. I ordered their Lettuce-wrapped burgers with spicy chraime carrot salad and ended up extremely sick shortly after consuming it. I tried to contact them over the weekend but couldn't get through to anyone. So, I sent them an email, but I never received a response. Frustrated, I decided to call customer service on Monday, and while they promised to call me back, they never did. I even sent them a text message today, and I finally got a response, but only after sending multiple messages.

I'm worried that this issue could be happening to other people, and there's no way to warn them. I'm also frustrated that Sunbasket hasn't even offered to credit me for the bad meal. The ground chicken was the culprit, I suspect. After ingesting it, I became extremely dizzy, had diarrhea and vomited. It was a horrible experience. It took me a while to start feeling like myself again.

I'm really appalled by this experience. If something goes wrong with their meals but you can't get through to customer service, what do you do? Honestly, it's concerning. I'm actually afraid to eat the rest of the meals I received, which is a shame because I usually love their food. However, because of their lack of response, I may have to cancel my account. So, be very careful if you decide to order from Sunbasket. If something goes wrong, there's a chance you won't be able to get the help you need.

Sunbasket Delicious Food, Poor Service: A Review of Sun Basket's Backend Issues

Sun Basket has some great dishes - and by great, I mean delicious. However, this company has a lot of backend issues that they need to address - like actually delivering the products that you ordered. I have received one successful week of deliveries from them. Unfortunately, Sun Basket is unresponsive when things go wrong and deliveries often get missed with little or no explanation. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service, they never seem to respond. There’s no option to cancel your subscription on their website either! You’re forced to call and wait on hold for hours. They won’t even bother to respond to your emails.

I received an email from them that I’ve been eagerly waiting for that said the following: “Weve been working hard to resolve a warehouse issue. As a result, your Sun Basket box scheduled to arrive today, Tuesday, March 7th, will be delayed by one day. Rest assured that the warehouse issue does not impact the quality of your Sun Basket. Your ingredients will be delivered fresh and ready to cook.” Unfortunately, the food didn’t come even after the email.

Although the food is indeed great, you should be aware of their poor service. Avoid ordering from them for at least the next few years because they have a lot of backend issues that need fixing. There’s another reviewer out there who had similar issues with cancelling their subscription and getting customer service. In summary, while you might be able to get your products delivered occasionally, Sun Basket's dearth of customer service means you’re unlikely to ever get proper assistance when you need it.

Sunbasket Mixed Experience with Sun Basket Delivery and Customer Service

On July 26, 2020, my package from Sunbasket.com left the warehouse for shipping at 2:20 PM. The next day, on July 27 at 1:30 AM, the package was out for delivery, with delivery hours between 8AM-8PM. Typically, the package arrives by 10 AM, but on this particular day, there was no delivery by the usual time.

As a result, I signed up for delivery updates at 4 PM. At 8:00 PM, I attempted to chat with Sun Basket, but the chat system was horrible and not very helpful. I then contacted the shipping company at 9:30 PM, looking for any updates on the delivery time.

Finally, on July 27 at 11:10 PM, the delivery arrived, with no text update or knock at the door. Had my dog not alerted me, the package would have sat outside until the following morning. To make matters worse, when I opened the package, I found a moldy pepper. In an effort to bring this to SunBasket's attention, I sent them a picture, but the only contact I received was a fake email as a follow-up to a "phone conversation" that never took place.

I was really hoping that this would work out, as this was the first delivery service that my family and I have ever used. Unfortunately, due to the issues with delivery and the lack of response from SunBasket, I cancelled all future orders.

However, after leaving this review, Sun Basket reached out to me on August 5, 2020. They agreed that there was a glitch in communication, and my delivery, so far outside of regular delivery hours, was unacceptable. They handled the problem professionally and in good faith.

Overall, Sun Basket has a lot going for it, and the food is fantastic. If they can improve their communication systems and customer service staff, I would be happy to return and use their services again.

Sunbasket Sunbasket Review: Rude Customer Service, Late Delivery, and Overpriced Meals

I gotta say, my experience with Sunbasket was not a good one. I was so excited to order from this meal delivery service for the first time, but it turned out to be a major letdown. To start, my order arrived a whole day late and when I opened it up, the food was warm to the touch. Not good. There was only one small ice pack at the bottom of the box, which clearly wasn't enough to keep everything cool. I felt frustrated, but I decided to call their customer service to let them know what happened and see if they could help me out.

I explained the situation to the representative on the line and told her I had used a promo code on my first order, which brought the total to $51 instead of the usual $100+. Unfortunately, because of the issues with the delivery, I didn't get to try any of the meals I had ordered. So I asked the rep if they could comp my next few meals or credit my account for the total paid and reapply the promo code. Seems like a fair request, right? But the rep told me that because only the meats were ruined, they would only credit me for the cost of the meat. What? That doesn't make any sense.

So I asked to speak to a supervisor, hoping they could help me out. But nope, the supervisor was just as rude and dismissive as the rep. She didn't seem to understand why I wouldn't just pay full price and never get to use the promo code I was promised. I was so upset that I told her to cancel my account and give me a refund. And the worst part? The supervisor didn't seem to care at all. She said it was fine if I left a negative review and didn't try to make things right. Total lack of customer service.

To sum it up, here's what I learned from my experience with Sunbasket:

1. They DO NOT CARE about their customers.
2. The reps and supervisors are SO RUDE and dismissive.
3. The prices are way too high.
4. There are better meal delivery services out there, so don't waste your time with this one. They won't help you if something goes wrong.

Sunbasket Sunbasket's meal delivery service fell short, with missing and spoiled ingredients, inconvenient delivery, and poor customer service

I was really excited to try out Sunbasket's meal delivery service, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. Despite the added cost for organic ingredients, I found that some of the ingredients were missing or already spoiled on a few occasions. However, I didn't want to give up on the idea of having healthy meal options delivered right to my door, especially since I knew Sunbasket was still a relatively new service and could still be working out some kinks.

One thing that did frustrate me was that I wasn't able to receive my deliveries directly at my apartment door. I had to go down to the mail room to retrieve them, which was an inconvenience but not a dealbreaker. However, one night, I never received a notification that my delivery had been made. The next morning, I still hadn't received anything. I searched around and discovered that my delivery had actually been left in the mailroom, but I never received the access code needed to retrieve it. At this point, my food was sitting there getting ruined, but there was nothing I could do about it.

When I reached out to Sunbasket's customer service team, I was shocked to receive an automated message telling me to unsubscribe if I wasn't happy with their service. I also tried contacting the delivery agency with no luck. It was frustrating to have paid $75 for a box of food that was now rotting in the mailroom and would potentially damage other packages. It definitely left a sour taste in my mouth and I would caution others against subscribing to Sunbasket if they value timely and responsive customer service.

On a more positive note, I will say that the meal options offered by Sunbasket were quite appealing and delicious. However, the poor experience I had with their delivery and customer service overshadowed any positives. I tried to reach out for direct assistance, but I never received a response. It's clear to me that Sunbasket only cares about covering their bases on review sites rather than addressing problems directly with their customers. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize their image over their customers' satisfaction.
