On September 27th and 28th, 2021, I had a not-so-great experience with Livermore Toyota. I wanted to fix some issues with my credit report, but they were not willing to assist me. They went ahead and made hard inquiries without me signing any documents or giving them authorization. They did this five times on September 27th and once on September 28th.

My mom got a new truck from Livermore Toyota. They told her she had to pay cash, so she wrote a check for the whole amount. But then they tricked her by making her sign a contract for financing, pretending it was for "insurance." This made her total payment go up to $44k instead of $42k, even though she already said she was paying cash and wrote a check for the full amount. I think this is elder fraud and I want to find a way to fix it.

I went to Livermore Toyota after talkin to an employee named Lei who was sellin me a car at msrp. I made sure there was no *** up and she said there wasn't, she confirmed with her manager Sunny. I sat down and Sunny brought out a form with a 5k *** up that I didn't know about. I was mad that they wasted my Time but I left politely. Sunny called my cell phone askin me to come back and take the car at msrp. I asked and confirmed with Sunny and Lei that they would sell at msrp. I went back and they marked up the car by 2k again. They lied to me and said that the toyota customer cash and rebates were included in the 2k cash. I knew that wasn't true because those were separate discounts. Sunny didn't answer My phone call and the other manager *** didn't help either. This is a terrible way to do business. They wasted my time and energy and also gave false disclosures. They should be audited because I'm sure they fool customers every day.

On October 10, 2022, I went to Livermore Toyota to test drive a Lexus ES350. The sales associate brought me the car and mentioned that I was in luck because the price had dropped from $33,000 to $27,800. There was a big sign on the windshield with a special white price of $27,800. After test driving other cars at different dealerships and exchanging numerous text messages with the sales associate, I returned the next day, October 11, 2022, to purchase the car. I already had financing through my credit union, but the Finance Director insisted that I have my credit checked in their system regardless. After doing so, the sales associate came back and informed me that the Finance Director had made a mistake and the car was actually priced at $33,000. Despite seeing that I was approved for a higher amount, he pulled a bait and switch. I told him that they needed to honor the advertised price on the car, which had been displayed for at least two days. However, he refused to honor the price and had already removed the signage from the car.

This thing started right after October 30th. On October 30th, I bought my car. I signed papers in the finance room to buy my car and drove away. About two to three weeks later, Haroon, the finance guy I signed the papers with, contacted me. Haroon said there was a mixup with the paperwork and he gave me an invalid contract. Haroon said that if I don't come back to the office, he'll lose his job and they'll tow my car. I live about an hour and 15 minutes away from this dealership. As a customer, I did what I had to do - got my credit checked, signed the papers, made a down payment, and completed the transaction. I can't take time off work because I work 6/7 days a week. My co-signer and I don't have the same schedule and we can't take time off work or we might lose our jobs. As a customer, it's really frustrating to know that I went there on my only day off when our schedules matched, I was able to drive away, and now they're saying they'll repossess the car because I didn't complete the right documents! They took my money and I did everything the contract required. If anything was wrong, they should have checked and fixed it on the day of the purchase, not two to three weeks later. Now I have the weight of Haroon losing his job on my shoulders, and I might lose my car too. I went back to the office to sign the contract on my day off, and they said they also needed my partner, who is also on the loan, to sign. I told them on the phone that he couldn't make it because of work. They gave me the contract to take home and have him sign it. I told them when my next day off was and they agreed. Then I got a phone call saying that if the contract isn't returned by Tuesday 11/23, they'll repossess my car! I don't want to lose my job or my car for something that wasn't my fault.
