Lauer Reality Group is lacking in property managment skills that show reasonable diligence and effective managment. We did business with this company for eight years. The last two tenants that they vetted left without paying large portions of the rent that was owed to us. The final tenant trashed our house inside and out. Lauer was not aware that they had vacated our property until over two weeks after they had left when one of their employees noticed it driving by on his way home. Lauer gave us a key to get into the house which did not fit the locks. We were able to enter the house anyway because it had been left unlocked for that two week period. They did no periodic walk throughs like the tenant contract stated that they could do in spite of the fact that the last tenant was over two months in arrears with the rent. They withheld management fees from the tenant deposits that was in clear contradiction to what the contract we signed with them stated. They charged us an early termination fee when we cancelled their service because we did not give them 90 days notice of our intent to terminate. You would think that a company you did business with for so many years would look at the amount of rent we lost and the cost of the repairs that we needed to do to our property and they would have waived the early termination cost. They have no heart. Casey L has multiple companies that he has do work on the properties that he manages. Many people would not be aware of this. I strongly suggest that you look at other property managment companies in Tallahassee. I am sure they would do a much better job.

My famly rented a 4/3 townhome from Lauer Real Estate Group to start on 8/8. When we got there around 2pm, we walked through the townhome and found it filled with mold and filthy. It wasn't move-in ready or even livable due to the mold. We took plenty of photos and videos and went to speak with the company on Monday 8/9, asking to cancel the lease and get a refund of all the fees. They agreed over text message, but said they would need until Wednesday afternoon to have the check ready. However, we have been unable to reach them through phone calls, texts, or emails. I still haven't received a cancelled lease or the refund.
