I got very unprofessional service by this company. Before purchasing a used laser I contacted them and was told the error on the bought equipment would be easy to fix. No specific price was given but I was told one would work with me. I had been dealing with James. Once I sent the equipment in the price given for the easy fix was $2900. The same used laser without an error would have been around $1400. I would have never bought the used laser with the error had I been given any indication that the easy fix would cost this much. I would have also spared myself the effort and expense to send it there.

I have a Service Contract with Laser Repair Depot for 1 year to service my Cynosure Elite Laser Unit. They never returned service calls for months! Earlier, they would come and ship my laser from Tampa to Miami and take the laser for several/multiple weeks. We would never see a sign of the laser despite frequent calls from our end. The same problems kept on happening for several times with no meaningful repair/solution. Now the laser is not firing right and needs calibration. I've been trying to get hold of them for more than a month. Their rep James Munoz would never return any calls. I would call their service center and get no answer. Their 1 866 number doesn't work anymore. This was a terrible nightmare so far. We paid close to $10, 000 for a service contract.

We physically drove our Sciton Profile laser 2, 520 miles round trip and spent $2000 in travel expense to deliver our laser to this company for repair. We dropped off our laser on Wednesday morning 08-20-14 and picked it up on Friday 08-22-2014 after being assured the laser was repaired and running well. We arrived back home on Saturday 08-23-2014 and immediately unwrapped the laser and attempting to provide a laser procedure on a client only to discover the laser was not repaired and continued to display the same fault screen. I immediately called David Stern's and James ( service manager) cell phones and left messages on both. I again called on Monday 08-25-14 and spoke with James himself. I reported that laser was still not working and was told that he would schedule a pick up to have laser transported back to Miami and I was assured that it would be fixed. I attempted NUMEROUS calls to both David and James( left messages on James' cell phone) with no return calls. I also left NUMEROUS messages with the receptionist to please have one of them call me but still no call back. My father has also called them both and left messages on James' cell phone and left message with the receptionist to have one of them return his call...He received no return call. It is now 09-15-14 and we continue to try to contact someone at this office [protected]) with no response. We have now sought legal advice and will move forward with a legal case against this company.

This company, the laser outlet, is now doing busines as Laser Repair Depot that is: www.laserrepairdepot.com - they may have changed the name, but not their business practices. We sent them our Thermage handpiece to be repaired "quicker and cheaper than the manufacturer" We were told we would get a quote within 48 hours and the repair within a week. We did not hear from them for over two weeks- repeated attempts to speak to someone were useless. When I finally spoke to John in service he said their equipment to repair the Thermage handpiece was down, but should be back up soon. Eventually almost a month later our handpiece was sent back to us. Of course we did not want to waste a tip testing the handpiece, we ended up with a paying client on the table and a still broken handpiece. When I called John said there are no refunds, but send him the handpiece back and they will look a it. He also said maybe our machine was broken-not the handpiece. That was impossible since we borrowed a handpiece from a colleague which worked perfectly. Against my better judgement I sent it back to them: John assured me he would call as soon as it was received. Again no call- two days later I spoke to John, apparently the machine to repair the handpiece was out. They had no way to even repair my handpiece. I again requested a refund. The owner was supposed to call me several times thoughout this ordeal and never did. I demanded my handpiece returned at this point-John sent it back overnight, the one thing they followed through on. Now I am in the process of trying to get my refund- I am also out a Thermage tip. Again, no one is returning my calls. I am going to start with the BBB and go from there.
