Larson put in a Trane XV18 variable speed heat pump in our crib. This thing makes a crazy loud whining noise all over the place when the blower is on, even when it's going slow. They tried switching out a few parts, but it just made things worse. Now Larson won't do anything else about it and won't promise to fix the issue for real.

I needed an AC company to run a wire from my Nest to the AC unit for power. I've been in my house for 7 years and only had AC service once before. In 2019, I got my AC inspected before a new roof was put on (at the roofer's request). They didn't find any issues. I decided to use their service, even though it cost me over $200. It was still cheaper than two checkup visits. When they came to do the service and install the wire as I asked, they checked the unit and said I needed two parts replaced. The total cost was over $700, even with the discount from my service plan. 2 months later, my AC started making noises. They said I needed to replace a motor, which would cost over $800. I reluctantly agreed. Later, they told me the fan set screw was stripped and I needed another fan! The part costs $900. They stripped the screw, but I'm the one who has to pay for it?
