Jeff Lindsey Communities To be honest, we closed on 1/19/2022 and we had no idea when the closing date would be

To be honest, we closed on 1/19/2022 and we had no idea when the closing date would be. Now we're in our home, but there are no garage doors. The cabinets have scuffs and the handles are all crooked. There's missing caulking and the touch-up paint is nowhere to be found. The project manager, ***, is the worst. He never responds to our texts and emails about repairs, even though they're covered by the 30-day warranty. The workmanship is really sloppy. The realtors from *** Lindsey are rude and always seem confused. They need to be dealt with right away!

As some of the other reviewers have already said... if negative stars could be given for this terrible home building company, they would get a negative 5 star rating! After waiting 10 months for the home we contracted Jeff Lindsey Communities to build, THEY canceled our contract using the "disrespectful" clause because at what was supposed to be our final walkthru inspection we were not happy with the c*** they were trying to sell us! So we lost our home that we waited for 10 months to get built, lost the 10 months of appreciation we would have obtained... so that this builder could then turn around and sell this same crappy home for more money to another unsuspecting sucker! We entered into contract with JLC in April to build a home on Lot #*** in *** in ***, *** for ~$608k! We were told that our home builder, ***, was very experienced and one of "the best they have". Well if *** is the best, I hate to see what the other *** Lindsey builders are throwing up! When we periodically toured the home, we saw so many shoddy workmanship items and what we thought were code violations that we decided that it would be in our best interest to hire a third party home inspector to check those things and to investigate things that we could not. That ended up being the BEST $500 I have EVER spent! I will even include a link to the building inspector's we received so you can see from a 3rd party's perspective what crappy work *** Lindsey does! See inspection report here: https://tinyurl.com/5e9zzcw7 Needless to say, that if any one of you after reading these reviews and seeing the pictures of what this builder calls "quality workmanship" still choose to buy from *** Lindsey, then you deserve to get what you get! Jeff Lindsey homes still hasn't fixed my floor and the many problems I told them about when I filed a warranty request for my home. They haven't called or emailed me to let me know that they are aware of the issues. They said in previous responses that they are in touch with us, but that's not true at all. Nobody has informed me about the progress or what's happening.

The builder said they would fix everything on the punch list within 30 days. But it's been five months now and there's still a lot of unfinished work. Our showers are leaking, the trim work is separating, and there's a door that won't close. The drywall repair hasn't been finished and there's paint all over the floors and fireplace hearth. It feels like the list of problems just keeps growing. Our neighbors who moved in after us have already had their punch lists completed. We've sent many emails to the warranty coordinator, but they haven't responded. We just want these issues resolved.

I've been tryin to get the last few warranty items addressed but continue to be told lies. I need my yard fixed by the a/c unit. Placin gravel down didn't fix it. SPEND the money to do it right then re-sod it. Next, address ny nail pops and family room ceiling. Lastly, replace my green sewer cover. This builder has done nothin but lie since I started the process in September . I no longer want to speak with Jason Gasses, but his boss. I'm sick of this!

Jeff Lindsey Communities Be careful with this builder

Be careful with this builder. We bought a house on September 4th. The trim, paint, walls, and doors are terrible. You expect to have a brand new home, but when you step inside, it looks like a house that's been around for 10 years. If you try to share your experience on their social media pages, they block you. We've reached out to them about getting things replaced, but they haven't done anything. I complained here, and they said they would send me a letter, but I never received it, and they were in a hurry. I have some new trim, but no paint. The painter hasn't even come by to take a look. I'll post pictures soon.

Jeff Lindsey Communities We just got a house built in Bluff Mill Farms and closed on the property on Sept

We just got a house built in Bluff Mill Farms and closed on the property on Sept. 24, 2021. We had a walk-through a week before closing and we pointed out all the things we wanted fixed, including the trim. The guys who did the walk-through acted like being picky is not allowed. I'm not picky, but when the trim is unacceptable and I'm paying for it, then I will be picky. We had another walk-through an hour before closing and the trim was still terrible. We pointed it out, but they didn't write anything down. When we finally signed the papers, we walked into weatherstripping thrown by the back door for us to finish, I guess. This house costs almost $500,000, and you would think the builders would be ashamed to sell a house like this. I am extremely angry about this. The pictures below show just a few examples. I have many more pictures.

I've been in touch with the warranty department a few times because of some issues, and I was told by someone named *** (who isn't there anymore) that they would fix my granite problem. They asked me to be patient, and I have been. But now, when I followed up and didn't hear back, I called *** in the warranty department and she told me that *** was no longer there. She said they couldn't fix my granite or my cracked driveway. I was surprised and asked to speak with someone who could help me with my new home or my driveway, which was already there when I moved in and was mentioned in my closing paperwork. According to ***, who is also not there anymore, my granite should have been redone. All I want is for my new home to look new with the upgrades I paid for, not like a shoddy job. The seam was way off and nothing matched up. They won't replace my granite, and I just want a solution.

I bought a house on 02/05 and Jeff Lindsey communities didn't give us the warranties they promised for the year-end work. They also ignore our emails about problems caused by the builder's lack of skills. All the backyards on our street have drainage issues, and they know about it but didn't fix their mistakes. The person in charge of the warranty department keeps ignoring my requests for repairs. We've tried many times to get them to come and fix the problems, but they always say "we're getting to it" when we can actually reach someone. It's been almost 6 months since our year-end warranty expired, and they still won't come to do the work. This is happening to other people in our neighborhood too. This company lies about their product, breaks contracts, and falsely advertises the amenities in the neighborhood. It's causing a lot of stress for everyone in the community.

Jeff Lindsey Communities This complaint is about the dead grass in our yard

This complaint is about the dead grass in our yard. We tried to talk to *** Lindsey, but they ignored us. It's been almost eight months since we closed, and they still haven't replaced the dead grass. According to Georgia's Right to Repair Act, *** Lindsey is supposed to fix the damage to our property, including our lawn, because of faulty materials. On July 2, *** talked to *** about our lawn being in bad condition. They said they would replace the grass if it didn't improve in 30 days, which would be July 21. During the conversation, *** also mentioned doing a walkthrough and said it seemed to be getting better. But our grass hasn't improved since we closed on April 22. So on July 21, we tried to contact *** multiple times and left voicemail messages, but they didn't respond. We then talked to ***, who said they would pass on the message. But we still haven't heard back from them. On July 22, around 9:35 AM EST, we called corporate and spoke to ***. We told her our concerns, and she said she would pass the information to either *** or ***, the production managers. We asked them to respond by July 26. Despite calling corporate, we still haven't gotten a satisfactory response. Every lawn professional from JL who came to our house said our grass looks great. But we had our own professionals come for a second opinion, and they said the grass is completely dead and needs to be replaced. We've been understanding and patient throughout this whole situation, but we're not being treated fairly or taken seriously.

Jeff Lindsey Communities Freedom Builders and Jeff Lindsey Communities (the Builder) put up a messed up retaining wall

Freedom Builders and Jeff Lindsey Communities (the Builder) put up a messed up retaining wall. We bought the house on November 4 and had to tell the Builder on December 30 that the wall was failing. Instead of fixing the problem, the Builder kept saying the wall was just leaning. Finally, when they admitted it was failing, their contractor came and dumped more dirt behind it as a quick fix. But guess what? The next time it rained, all that dirt washed away and made a mess in the driveway. In November , the Builder said they would replace the wall, but they wouldn't give us any details or agree on a contractor to do the job. As homeowners, we thought it was important to have a say since the first wall was built so poorly. We had other contractors look at the wall and they gave us a list of basic requirements that the Builder missed. We said no to their "offer" because of those conditions, and their emails got even more forceful, trying to scare us into accepting their plan. When we said no again, the Builder's lawyer sent a letter saying our requests were unreasonable. They also claimed that I wanted them to move the wall, which was not true. The wall is too close to the house, but my written request never asked them to move it. They said if I rejected their repair, which would probably be just as bad as the first wall, they would only pay for a portion of the new wall, which came out to $9,680. We agreed to that amount in writing and planned to use it to build a proper wall, which will cost a lot more. But guess what? The Builder hasn't paid us yet, adding insult to injury. They also messed up other things, but this is the biggest problem. It's impossible to feel like a valued customer.

Jeff Lindsey Communities I bought a house from Jeff Lindsey Communities, Inc

I bought a house from Jeff Lindsey Communities, Inc. in October . Since November , we've been trying to get them to fix some issues with the sheetrock, easement, and flooring. But now, they're not responding to our requests to meet in person and resolve the problems. told my husband that she didn't have time to keep going back and forth with him through email. We've sent emails, texts, and online warranty requests to ***, *** Mix, ***, ***, a production manager, *** Lindsey, multiple times, but we haven't gotten any response. Our floors are falling apart, with splinters, cracks, and gaps between the boards. A third party inspected it and said it's because of installation issues, but JLC doesn't want to admit it. They've tried to fix the sheetrock twice, but it still looks terrible. They even asked us to sign off on the work as complete, but when we refused, *** said he didn't need our signature and left. On top of that, our house is next to the model home, and they have sod on their part of the easement, but JLC only put pine straw and rocks on our side. They won't sod our portion. My husband has tried texting them, but now *** isn't responding either. We want a production manager and a senior leader from JLC to come to our house, inspect the issues with us, and find a solution together. We want JLC to honor their warranty and not ignore us. We've been patient and followed all the homeowner protocols, so it's not right for JLC to ignore us and leave these problems unresolved. I've attached some screenshots for reference. By the way, the construction sites around our house are really dirty. There are beer cans, used condoms, food trash, chicken wing bones, and more. Their trash dumpsters are always overflowing and spreading garbage all over our neighborhood, including our yard. When I asked if they could keep the sites cleaner, they said they can't because they're having trouble finding contractors to work for them.
