February 27 at 3:30 pm. I met with Tom Matthews.
He did not know the difference between a ROTH IRA and a Traditional IRA. I withdrew from both in 2024 and pointed that out while I sat with him. He claimed the mistake caused by a computer error.
He listed all my withdrawals as Taxable/Traditional withdrawals which increased my taxable income by $20,640. I pointed that out after he had submitted and sent the incorrect Tax Form to the IRS.
The incorrect Tax Form has been Amended, but, and this is a BIG BUT, I have to pay the original, incorrect amount of #11,209 on April 11 and then wait approximately 3 weeks for the amended version to be approved and then wait another 16 weeks before I am reimbursed by the IRS. During that time the IRS will be holding on to my overpayment of $6683! I refuse to pay the $441 tax prep fee that was billed to my CITI credit card.
Thank You.
