I recently had the opportunity to work with J & S Renovations LLC, and overall, they did a good job. However, I did encounter some issues with the public adjuster who was involved in the project. They displayed unprofessional behavior throughout the process.

One particular problem arose when the company held onto the check meant for the removal and reinstallation of my solar panels, which was supposed to be done before the roof repair. Unfortunately, the public adjuster refused to release the funds, making it impossible for me to pay the solar company for their services.

Furthermore, I have yet to receive a receipt (***) from the company for the work that was done. The bills I received seem to include the payment for the solar work, but there is no clear mention of it.

Despite these issues, J & S Renovations LLC did a satisfactory job with the actual repairs. However, the unprofessional behavior of the public adjuster and the lack of proper documentation have been frustrating.

I'm really disappointed with J & S Renovations LLC. They fixed our roof back in 2018, but their warranty only lasted for 2 years. We recently bought the house on August 19, 2022, and last night (12/28/22), I heard water dripping in the spare bedroom. We tried to contact the company, but they took a long time to call us back. When they finally did, all they said was that the warranty was only for 2 years. We had to call another roofer to come and check it out. They found that the *** unit might be the problem. However, when we had the *** company come out, they told us that the shingles (which were replaced in 2018) were just slapped on the roof without overlapping properly around the *** area (where the original issue was in 2018). Nothing has been replaced or renovated since we bought the house or since 2018. There is also water damage in the attic area, and we were told that the shingles should last for 25 years. I understand that things wear out over time, but this is just crazy. Unfortunately, I don't have a money tree, so it's really frustrating.

This company replaced my roof with no problems, roof does not leak. But when I paid after the job was complete, I was told my receipt would be mailed to me along with the warranty for my roof. I have called several times and also contacted the employee who worked with my insurance company asking him to bring my receipt and warranty info to my house and all he says is he will notify the office to have it sent to me. They are very unprofessional and will not handle my situation to my satisfaction. For all I know they can come back at me stating I did not fully pay for the services I received. All I want is the receipt and warranty paperwork. I am being ignored and that is so frustrating. After the second time I contacted them, they should have brought it to my home. I called them and had to leave a message because nobody answered the phone and I sent an email with no response. I don't know what else I can do to get the paperwork sent to me. Please help me close this issue.

J&S Renovations LLC replaced my roof last August and had to take off and put back the solar panels as part of the job. They finished the roof and reinstalled the solar panels on 8/7. The solar system worked fine until 7/14 when it started producing less than half of its usual power, and this continued until 8/3. On 8/3, *** came to my house and had to completely shut down the system to prevent any fire hazards. The connectors were melted and the wires were frayed, which made it extremely dangerous for our home and our lives. As a result, the whole system needed to be rebuilt, but they couldn't finish it until 10/18. During this time, I had to pay my electric bill even though I wasn't getting any power from the solar panels. My system was down for a total of 77 days.

I first told J&S about this issue on 8/11, and *** asked me to provide documentation from Tesla and send in my bills for compensation. I followed up with an email as requested. On 12/31, I emailed my Tesla bills from 8/3 to 10/18, along with screenshots showing the decrease in solar production in the Tesla app. I asked to be compensated for $283.69, which is based on a monthly solar bill of $110.53 ($3.68 per day) for the 77 days. However, I didn't receive any response.

On 1/11/22, I called J&S and spoke with ***. He said he hadn't received any of my emails. I confirmed that I used the same email address as before and resent the email as requested. He said he would contact me, but he never did. In the week since our conversation on 1/11/22, I tried calling multiple times but couldn't reach anyone. On 1/18, I left a voicemail again asking for a resolution to this issue and requested a call back by the end of the day on 1/19. If I didn't hear back, I said I would take further steps to resolve the problem.
