I took out Broadband based on a guaranteed minimum D/L speed, which it did not reach. Their 14 day cancellation period was irrelevant as I didn't receive the router until after then. Plugged it in for 3 or 4 days as recommended for it to settle down, and then cancelled the contract as they did not provide the service as promised.
Since then I have received c. 50 phone calls and texts, and spoken with them numerous times to no effect. I have sent them numerous e mails which have been responded to 1 in 6 times.
I used their inferior service for just a few days before returning to Talktalk, and they are saying I currently owe them £140.
I have told them I am approaching 80 years old, which they know and that this harrassment is affecting my health. I keep asking them to pass on the recordings of my many phone conversations to their line managers. They never do . . . .
Before you suggest I write to the Ombudsman, I am too old for all that nonsense, although I appreciate that may be my next step.
