iolo review: IOLO Ultimate Defense

Long-time IOLO System Mechanic customer for over 5 years with no problems until end of 2025 (hidden bundle with offer of 1 year update) and 2026 (popups stating "update" which is untrue).

(1) Constant popups of "updates" leading to a full download of the same software. NOT an update! An opportunity to sell more services as bundles. Requested removal -- did not work.

(2) November offer for a discount of 1 more year actually included a bundle which lead to a monthly charge for tech support at 19.95 that now costs 29.95 as of August. Something I do not need, want and have not used. Requested refund. Only offered $70 of 219.50

Called IOLO customer service last month to remove the "fake update" pop-up and was told to change settings and stop notifications. Did not work!
