iolo review: iolo updater tech support scam

On 9/18/25 I ordered System Mechanic Ultimate Defense for $75. On 10/18/25 I ordered IOLO Updater for $21.34. Got my credit card bill on 11/18/25. I had 1 charge for $21.34 for Updater and 3 charges for Technical Support for $21.30. So unknown to me an auto pay was set up by IOLO and because I didn't read, "System Mechanic Ultimate Defense will automatically renew every year at the price of $84.95 or the then-current price, and LiveTech Technical Support will automatically renew every month at the price of $19.95 or the then-current price if you do not cancel before the end of the first free month. Bait and switch for sure: iolo System Mechanic Ultimate Defense 1-year $84.951($17.02) iolo LiveTech 24/7 Technical Support $0.001($0.00). Shows $0.00 then you get billed. Never ever buy anything IOLO. I purchased my Clean My ID - 3-year contract for $300 and after 6 months found out the $300 was for use of the software for 3 years but monitoring was 1 year - nowhere was this disclosed. Be smart, save money, save time - stay away from IOLO everything. Oh, by the way, their response to me was that the charges were legitimate.
