very upset with intact insurance and how they are dealing with a long time customer I just found out yesterday that our premium is going up by 800 dollars as of June 2026 but I will be cancelling my policy as soon as possible as in March my husband was backing out of a parking lot in Sobeys and a lady behind him came out at the same time both bumpers were hit no damage to the other lady we had a crack in our bumper which my husband repaired we got a call from the Rothesay police to say the other driver reported the mishap but did tell the officer she did not have any damage a few days later we got a letter from intact W Sifet Hossain saying that an open claim 4036530107 was put through on our policy which i couldn't believe as we never contacted the insurance company ourselves at any time anyway we called him back and told him we were not opening a claim and as far as the police report says the other party was not opening a claim either now we have found out that yes we are being held responsible for this and our insurance is now being raised I am utterly livid at this I feel the other party has put a false claim in to their insurance company and we are being a scapegoat because of this we got another later from Signet saying it was deemed 50/50 at fault which I do not understand as this was never put in as a claim in the first place I have been calling and getting put through to many different folk it is just way to much I am a senior dealing with cancer and I do not need this headache
