Infinity Funding Group loan modification fraud

Just checking in to see if anyone that was scammed by this company ever received anything at all. The Attorney Generals Office of New York basically said good luck and get your own attorney and this was after the state won the over 8 million dollar settlement. Anyone in on filing a class action suit before it is too late? I have to dig out all of my paperwork and contact a few class action attorneys first. I will update as I go along. Joanne Damrath

Infinity Funding Group FRAUD - MONEY THEFT

Infinity Funding's Neil Singer boldly leads ESL LLC down a raod to nowhere; stole over $175, 000.00 and ESL is only the tip of the iceberg. The recent filing against Infinity by Esl LLC is in Cobb County Georgia if you need to look it up for verification.

This occurred between September 2008 and May 2009 and the money still has not been retrieved at this point.

Infinity is a scam and there is nothing real and Neil Singer is utter crook, 100%.

Click on the list of people he has been stealing from.

We are currently working with The Suffolk County District Attorneys Office that is investigating them, Crime Stoppers and Neil Singer has also been reported to the IRS. as well as the FBI

Regrettably Sincere

PAul Tantillo, left Infinity funding and is now working at AXIS Financial [protected], continuing to defraud and steal from companies and people. If you are doing or involved in anyway with either Paul Tantillo or Neil Singer, they will take your money with a smile and promises and never give it back.

They took fees of $100, 000 and never delivered on anything and are on the run.

Be smart. if you are in contact with them. Call the Suffolk County DA's office and report tehm.

Neil Singer and associates continue to defraud and steal from people. He is well known to take money from anybody claiming they will have money returned plus. He also purchases property under other names illegally, leaving them to deal with foreclosures, taxes not paid, etc. He is amazing at scamming people, what a shame that will be his legacy. His goal in life is to take money from anyone, not pay any of his debts while living an extravagant lifestyle while people who have helped him are now penniless. Although I didn't know his ex-wife and family, he often boasted that he hasn't and never will pay child support, or alimony.
I worked for him, thankfully I left before I was arrested for his crimes. I will not state my name- he can also be dangerous.

"We are currently working with The Suffolk County District Attorneys Office that is investigating them"

Neil Singer is extremely close with the republican party of Suffolk County. Wouldn't be surprised if nothing comes of it.

He is a crook from personal experience.

People against fraud is a sham.
Axis is a National Expert on Distressed Assets and the only relationship that Paul Tantillo
ever had with Neil Singer is that Neil Singer screwed his father and Paul quit his job when it became apparant that Niel was a fraud.
Mr. Tantillo has his lawyers conducting an investigation to find the people posting negative staements about him and the will be sued.
Niel Singer is a separate issue and is currently hiding on the world.
But everything negative about Paul is a Lie, we know him and he saved our Project in Utah.

Regrettably Sincere,
Sorry to hear about your situation. FYI, the address above in Melville is not Neil Singers. It is a different Singer, different first name, who has nothing to do with this. Please check your facts before posting information that can be damaging.

Neil Singer is the only person responsible for the actions of Infinity.
Paul Tantillo left to join Axis and Mr. Singer even ripped off Pauls father, he had everyone fooled that he was some sort of Millionaire Investor.

Axis is a succesful distressed asset advisor, there is no investigation on them and Paul has cooperated with all parties seeking reimbursement from Mr. Singer who remains in hiding from his responsibilities.

Infinity Funding Group loan mod

We were also scammed by this company and kieran rogers. We were promised a loan mod for the amount of 2300 dollars, and of course, no loan mod and no refund. I am going after the company and kieran, as kieran is the one who made the promises and I sent my money to him. I have recently been in contact with kieran via text messaging, and as usual he keeps making me promises he does not keep. He tells you what you want to hear to buy some time. I have contacted the attorney general's office, and I have hired a attorney in the bohemia area to go after kieran and this company. I would like to contact the ftc, just need to know how to do that, if anyone knows, please inform me. Good luck to everyone, maybe if we keep fighting, we can all get our money back. This company and the people who work or have worked for them are all crooks and scammers.

We did everything that you have mentioned here plus filed with the FBI Internet Fraud unit. We have not heard a thing as of yet. Don't bother with the BBB. They are useless. They took the complaint and then closed the case and let the scam artists keep their logo on both of their websites until mysteriously, the websites are gone. All that you can find when doing a search on Infinity Funding and Infinity Mitigation Services are a lot of complaint links to this site and [redacted]s.
I did however, find an article from the Attorney General's Office of Kansas regarding a multiple state investigations and a lawsuit against Infinity Funding Group, of New York, that was filed on November 19, 2009. I have no idea as to how this will impact all of the parties that were scammed but at least something is being done.
If you have read all of the complaints here on the board you will come to the conclusion that Kieran Rogers is not the culprit in this mess as he has been bashed and slandered by one of the owners, John Oldring, who did post here. Kieran did work for them and tried to do his job until he found out that he was working for total ###. They are blaming him for stealing from them and leaving. The main scammers are John Oldring, Neil Singer and James Pepio. I have documents and over a hundred emails that went back and forth from all of them.
Hopefully, we will eventually see some of our lost money. I would really like ALL of it, as I need it. We got sucked in to this nightmare before all of the mortgage mod scams became public and we believed them as we could find nothing bad about them a year ago.
I would love to hear from anyone that may have gotten money back.
Joanne

Infinity Funding Group lies and fraud

I was in need of a loan modification and spoke with john oldring from infinity funding group. Explained my situation and a desire to get a loan modification. John said it would be a months mortgage payment for them which is $3800.00. John said I only had to send them $3000.00 and the process would begin and not to make any more payments to my mortgagecompany (hsbc). I received documents, filled them out and returned them. I had many phone calls to john since october and he kept reassuring me that the wheels are in motion and he would call me back on friday with an update. Never received and friday phone calls and now they don't even answer their phones (631... I put my trust in them and now i'm most likely going to loose my home and am out my $3, 000.00. However long it takes I will see to it that these people answer for their deceit, lies and fraud. Prison sounds good to me. I just don't know where to start, i've never been through a scam before and this is b. S.!

Hey sounds like I am not the only one who got screwed by Infinity Funding Group (Neil Singer, Paul Tantillo, John Oldring). They made the same claims, that they could fund a project, took our money, and now they won't return calls so I took it to the next step and hired an attorney and we are discussing our options to put these crooks out of business and hopefully doing a little Bubba time in the NY Pen. Anybody want to compile our cases and go for the throat, just let me know.

Infinity Funding Group fraudulent

These guys are talented scam artists. They will lead you to believe that they truly care about your dire situation and for a small fee they will save you. Nonsense. I have been trying to receive a $2500 refund myself for several months now with no luck. I understand I was foolish in trusting them, but as I said, they are good at making you believe that you are in their best interest. Everything they say is an outward lie. Since they no longer answer their phones or return messages, the next step is through the state attorney general's office pursuing the consumer protection act. Please please please do not fall prey to them. They really don't care about you or your home. Simply work with your mortgage company yourself and stay diligent in communicating with them.

Bottom Line-
Here are some of the latest 'EXCUSES' I have heard from Oldring regarding my refund...
Some employees embezzled all of our money, as soon as we get some money, we will send you a refund.
Or how about I will have Neil Singer call you tomorrow at noon, you WILL get your money back.
OR how about he (Oldring) calls out of the blue one day and says that we were approved for a Loan Mod, when I knew MONTHS ago, we weren't. I tried to explain this to him and he was clueless.

These guys are caught up in so many lies that they don't know what the hell they are saying or even who they are talking to.

NOW~ NOBODY answers the phone (not even the nameless secretary) and Oldring's cell number is no longer in service.

Tell me this doesn't SCREAM fraud!

In the beginning, their selling point was a 100% positive record with the BBB. Since I have filed two complaints with them (BBB), they informed me that they can't do anything about getting me my money back~ This is why they have a 100% record (because they KNEW the BBB wouldn't be able to help the consumer...sneaky eh?)

I guess i'll start by saying I have been bull [censored]ed by Singer, Joe and every crooked lawyer that touched my file. I dealt with these asssssholes for over a year. Four months ago Tim who works for attorney Brian Butler (third law firm handling my case)called me and said they will no longer be handling our case due that Infinity Funding Group was not paying them. I was shocked! So I tried calling Infinity and no one answered. I never got in touch with the crocks, so I couldn't ask for a refund.Until this day I have not been able to speak with anyone affiliated with Infinity FRunding Group. Let me give u some of there names. Paper handlers, attorneys and Bosses : Judy, Kearn, John, Tim, Andrew, Rubin, Brian, etc. and yours truly Neil Singer and Jim Peppio. I'm just warmin up! I have all there names, first and last. I just cant believe in 18 months these dumb ### never resolved crap. I gave them a check for 2, 000.00 at one shot thinking me and my family would be saved, ya right! Instead o f saving our assss they buried us deeper. In life I have learned no evil deed ever goes unpunished and thats why Infinity and it's affiliates have failed! I think, INFINITY FRAUD GROUP, would have been better suited! might as well get my rocks off.

I definitely agree with you. In April 2009, we received a letter that in lieu of doing our loan modification they will be refunding our money within 90 days. My husband and I are furious because we got ripped off by $4, 100. I have no way getting contact information for them as there numbers have changed. I also filed a complaint with the New York BBB, but they could not locate this company so my file was closed.

Infinity Funding Group fraud!

I to got sucked in by infinity funding group with all their hoopla of helping me save my home. I was told they would lower my interest rate and clean up my credit, after I paid them 2500.00. I paid them the money, and since have been ignored. This was in february.in april I demanded a refund of my money as they state a 100% money back guarantee. I have emailed jim peppio and neil singer and steve gottlieb. No response from anyone! This company is taking from people who are living on their last dime and desperate for some help in saving their home and getting their lives back on track! It is a shame and they should not only be shut down, but locked up! I will do everything in my power to make sure the entire clan gets shut down and pays all of us trusting customers, our money back.

Do not trust these guys

sharon here...STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND! I am now working with a detective in New York to help resolve this. We shall see if this helps. I have called and emailed Infinity funding week after week and no response. I was told by the SNAKE PEPPIO, that I would receive my refund within 90 days. Well, that came and went. These people...Steve Gottlieb, Jim Peppio and Neil Singer need to feel our pain and be brought down!
What a shame. How do they go to sleep at night?

I am on the same situation. I have a signed contract for a loan modification back in 2008, and they were not able to do anything for me. I have requested a refund and they agreed to a partial refund of the fees, but never send me the money. I have filed a complaint with BBB and the case was closed as unresolved. BBB has advised to complaint with the Attorney General and the NY State Banking Department. I have a signed letter from Neil Singer (President), and have been dealing with Jim Pepio (VP) wasting my time. I have also filed a law suit in the small claims court to get my money back. These guys look professional, but turned out to be a fraud and are taking advantage of good people in need of help to avoid being foreclosed. What a shame!

Infinity Funding Group fraud and cheating

Last october I searched for help to prevent foreclosure on my home, I came across infinity funding group. I contacted them to find out what they could do and was given a list of things that would happen. I hold 2 mortgages on my house wamu is the primary and countrywide is the second. I first spoke to steve levy then was passed onto kieran rogers. Kieran stated that they could get the first mortgage rate lowered and fixed as far as the second mortgage he stated in a foreclosure they loose everything. My second mortgage was 78000. He said that worst case scenario would be payments of 250.00 as opposed to the 589. I am paying. Kieran said the fee was a mortgage payment which between the 2 it came to 1866.00.

The bottom line I was promised quite a bit such as lower payments lower principle and my credit would be cleaned up which sounded good to me except it never happened. If you check the site they claim it comes with a money back guarantee. But its been almost a month trying to get my money back I have been dealing with jpepio the vp it took almost 2 weeks to get a release form sent to me for a refund but the amount was for the first mortgage only 1276. And as stated I payed them 1866.00. Now I am trying to get the correct form from jim pepio but he seems to be ignoring my emails and phone calls. I also filed a claim with the bbb in ny. Hoping someone can help get my refund as my situation has not changed and will end up getting foreclosed. So anyone thinking of using one these companies you would be better of to handle it yourself, these companies are taking advantage of people that can't afford it and that have hopes of getting help. Once they get paid you are no longer of interest.

I am planning on attempting to start a class action suit before it is too late. If you are interested, please let me know. The judgement was for over 8 million and no one received anything? I contacted the Attorney Generals Office in New York and got no where. Don't let them get away with this fraud. We lost our home and our money. They contracted with us to prevent this...

ELMONT (WABC) -- Two Long Island-based companies who claim a hugely successful record of foreclosure rescues across the country are being investigated for scamming customers nationwide.

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced lawsuits against National Modification Service and Infinity Mitigation Services, as well as owners Joseph Romano and Neil Singer Thursday afternoon.

The two companies promised to modify 98 percent of mortgage foreclosures by working directly with banks. Authorities say the companies forced customers to pay 1 percent of the mortgage upfront, which is illegal.

"As New Yorkers and others across the country fight to stay afloat in these tough times, we continue to see dishonest companies preying on vulnerable homeowners, " Cuomo said. "These companies pretend to be reaching out a helping hand, but instead they push consumers further down into debt and, in some cases, into foreclosure."

Related Content

More: Contact the WABC-TV Long Island Bureau
The lawsuits against National Modification and Infinity allege that the companies charged homeowners up-front fees of several thousand dollars, a violation of New York law. In addition, the companies used misleading advertising and made false representations to customers, including unsubstantiated claims of over a 90 percent success rate and guarantees that they would be able to convert an adjustable-rate mortgage to a lower, fixed-rate mortgage.

The lawsuits also allege that the companies promised a 100 percent money-back guarantee, but then failed to provide refunds to customers that they scammed, often even refusing to answer the customers' calls.

The Attorney General's lawsuits against National Modification and Infinity seek to shut down the companies and provide restitution and damages to customers. The lawsuits also aim to prevent both National Modification and Infinity and their owners from ever providing foreclosure rescue services.

In addition, the lawsuit seeks penalties and costs from the companies and their principals. Collectively, the companies may be subject to penalties of $1 million and potentially much more.

The foreclosure crisis has claimed the homes of thousands of New Yorkers across the state. In January 2010 alone, there were 4, 569 foreclosed properties in New York, and 1 in every 1, 737 housing units had received notice of foreclosure.

Under the law in New York, foreclosure rescue companies are required to provide clients with contracts, let financially vulnerable homeowners know that there are non-profit counselors that can help them for free, and refrain from charging up-front fees.

Consumers who are unable to make their mortgage payments should call their lender immediately to discuss the available alternatives to foreclosure. Many lenders offer foreclosure avoidance programs and have pledged publicly to assist distressed borrowers.

To find counselors approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in your local area, call [protected] or visit HUD.gov. To obtain foreclosure assistance or contact your mortgage lender, call the Federal Housing Administration at 800-CALL-FHA or visit FHA.gov.

Consumers who believe they are being targeted or defrauded by a foreclosure rescue company that may be engaging in unlawful conduct are urged to contact the Attorney General's Office at [protected] or visit the Attorney General's new Web site NYProtectYourHome.com.

I too was scammed by infinity. I lost $2600. I filed a complaint with the FTC. Fortunately I never lost my house. I contact the Feds. My loan was remodified through Fanny May. Never the less Infinity put my family and I through hell. The promised to help. They didn't do a thing. I fought long and hard to keep my house and I did. I didn't buy a house I couldn't afford. It was just the economy. I took a 8% pay cut as all has reduced hours, and my wife lost her job. I'm bless to say things have turned around for us but, there's still a matter of Infinity defrauding many families. We need to get together and file a class action lawsuit against his company. Infinity preyed on families going through tough times and destroyed their dreams, and most importantly, our families. My name is Miguel Vega. My e-mail mvega1974@hotmail.com. Let's all communicate and file suit against Infinity. They need to be stopped and brought to justice!

Yeah for Attorney General Andrew Cuomo! A lawsuit was filed on March 25, 2010, against Infinity Funding Group and Neil Singer. I was going to put up a link but all that needs to be done is a basic search and there are several links to the story. Hopefully we will all see some or all of our money back. What's his name, above, doesn't have to worry about being "slandered" anymore. I never had to worry about him anyway. I never dealt with him...

They obviously have closed down as their phones were disconnected and the emails would not go through in early summer of 2009 but I am sure that the owners can be found. My husband and I have already called the Attorney General's Office in New York and we do have a case number but will all of the fraud cases that they have to get through, it is going to be some time before anything is done.
As for the BBB, they did absolutley nothing when we submitted a complaint so I don't really see how they can help now. I don't trust that organization at all.
The law firm that was working for them when we unwittingly handed over our money was Rubin and Licatesi. Richard Rubin informed me months ago that his firm stopped working for them almost a year ago.
We will keep searching and post anything that we can find.
