Something as simple as asking them to change where the authorization codes show up in text messages results in a bunch of nonsense from this company. I get a lot of notifications that I need to continue showing up, and not have to turn on my phone to see that code. If it showed up at the beginning, like most companies do it, I wouldn't have to turn on my phone and make all other notifications disappear. Businesses have taken control over people's phones, which is why I hated being forced to use it for this reason. ID.ME isn't the only business sending messages to our phones and they shouldn't act so self-important. None of these companies pay for our phones, nor the lines, and shouldn't act like they have sole custody of our devices. I hate the day two-step verification became a thing, because it's not protecting or securing anybody from anything. It's all about dominance/control, surveillance, and keeping track of people. It adds so much more time to doing anything, and that's a luxury businesses aren't paying anybody for. Calling me with the code doesn't work, either. They fix nothing, ignore everybody, and don't even bother responding when I've asked for this simple functionality change.
I have to use it to get to my messages, fill prescriptions, and get my records on MyHealtheVet or va.gov.
Desired outcome: Fix that text message and put the code at the beginning of the message. Fix the call method of receiving the code.
