The gentleman that attended to my need for assistance verifying my identity in order to log in to my IRS account did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, quick, and efficient. He also had a calming nature that made it easy for me to forget my usual being uncomfortable on the camera, and I did not even have time to think about it during the call. He made sure to explain exactly what I was to expect as the next step and he then without being pushy or expectant of a positive review, did let me know that there would also be an email coming asking for review feedback and only asked if I would be so kind as to please participate. Then exactly as explained, came the processes he explained and within no time I was verified and able to continue on with my mission

ID.me If you are pc or internet challenged, get someone who can help you

If you are pc or internet challenged, get someone who can help you. Otherwise, it's really easy and fast. Note: I you are using your desktop you will be interacting on the pc and your smartphone at the same time. So don't close out your browser (this is if you are on a pc instead of just your smartphone). And, enable your camera and microphone through your antivirus software. Watch for little messages that will help you establish a video call. You don't have to download a special app or at least I didn't. I'm running the latest version of Chrome. My side of the call was very echoey if that's a word. I don't know which side it was on. But the call only lasted a couple of minutes. I know this new technology will drive some people crazy but hang in there. Compared to the old way, I like it.

Just because it's connected to the government doesn't automatically mean it's not good. Of course it wasn't something that I wanted to do, BUT if it's something you have to do then consider the effort that went into trying to make it more accommodating. It wasn't like you had to brush your teeth with a wire brush, it's something that is needed to add that extra layer of protection in a world that needs protecting. You and your future are worth protecting, right? Give credit where credit is due. If you're still worried, sit back and keep an eye on the shifty neighbors kid that's playing that strange music all hours of the night. And coming and going with weirder looking kids them himself. Wait, wasn't that you back in the sixties? Yeah, it was, wasn't it? How do I know? I was one of your weirder friends.

ID.me Much faster than mailing anything

Much faster than mailing anything. This is the future ! Fast convenient and secure. It uses multiple steps to verify identity and gets you access to what you need to because of it. For me that was the IRS website. I made a new account and it was all done within 12 minutes or so. It seems very impossible for identify theft to happen with all of their measures including the very cool facial scanning through video selfie. I will use this again in the future if I know what other applications it can be used for. You only get one identity in life and it should be secured. I trust this company in doing that and it is a great business idea. 5 stars easily for the hassle free online experience in the late hours of the night when other businesses are closed. Again, this is the future. Online 24/7 smart phone accessable interface.

ID.me I had an issue with IRS website where it would not allow me to upload my license picture

I had an issue with IRS website where it would not allow me to upload my license picture. I tried it a few ways , tried the chat, and ended up emailing the customer service site. I got a quick response telling me how to try it again, did that and then followed their direction from email where to contact them if it did not work. I got a specific person to contact in that email( the rep name) who then provided further direction. Tried again, did not work, and he sent me a list of questions to answer. I did and again he stayed as my contact as we tried 2 more things. He finally sent me a link which worked and i got the process completed. While this was not easy I was satisfied to have a consistent person with ongoing support that did NOT change, did not hand me back to the beginning to start over which often happens . It was ultimately resolved and I was pleased with that. GIven all the complaints i read about i was very happy to have the help and speed of response time given my timeframe was over the tax date period.

The process is very point by point specific - as it should be to validate you to the IRS accounts system. And the advertised 5 to 15 minutes process was accurate, unlike some of the other reviews I checked out. I started the process on a PC web session and was popped over to my iPhone to grab state ID pix, and it picked right back up on the PC session… a bit tedious and exacting, but following all the steps exactly allowed me to connect to my IRS account within that 15 minutes to start resolving an issue tracking payments to the IRS. I can recommend the automated ID.me process if you have a smartphone and some patience… I had earlier called the IRS toll free number and after a half hour wait got a live person, then needed a second person to help with this issue and heard the message about setting up your account online, after waiting for another half hour and still on hold… I decided to try it out. the online process ended up being faster, easier and got me to the information I needed quicker than waiting on a live person.

ID.me IRS.GOV forcing to go through ID

IRS.GOV forcing to go through ID.me. I had an acct and now hum not there. I did all that was need for ID.ME there web.cam connection is BS doesn't connect. Then after uploading everything was almost a 2 hour wait for a video chat. Then ID.me logs you out over and over which you have to over and over request have a code text to you enter to get back in que yet again. So you lose your spot. If ID. Me doesn't have enough people to help then they should update date there app not to log you out when your on hold waiting. Doesn't even ask if your still there, but that be a bad idea if you look away, since you know your on a 2 hour wait sucking up your battery time. I'm not paid for my lost time having to repeatedly get back in que. Just unreal Gov uses this for many websites. My other Gov websites no issues yet, but IRS isn't taking user ID sign in before they added ID.me. So at this point i still haven't gotten help, and I need a document from IRS ASAP, for help and this has delayed. Where do i send my bill for my waiting time over and over again cause being kicked out.

ID.me Waste of time

I feel like it's a waste of time to even write this review. I was surprised to learn when I went to check my status of my refund that I needed to upload documents to this website to verify my ID after collecting my biometric data and uploading all personal documents I was told that I had an account I obviously do not I've spent the last two weeks trying to contact support to get into my account only to be told that someone will get to me when they have time I have literally found them on every platform possible just to be ignored looks like I'm not the only one

ID.me A frustrating nightmare making edd a horrible experience

This platform has been a colossal failure and a time consuming terrible experience. The EDD has forced this platform as a part of the verification process and so it needs to make sure the system is reliable. Especially because customers are already dealing with Job Loss or Medical Leave issues and don't need this additional stress especially when dealing with important government imposed deadlines. There is absolutely no way of contacting customer support. Voice mails and emails go into a black hole. Government should drop them and research more efficient methods of verification.

Recommendation: You have no choice but to leave voice mails and send emails and hope that you hear back. I guess maybe making complaints to local government to stop using them will ligth a fire and get them to provide customer support.

After spending a good part of the morning preparing my documents for and then finally having my video call with ID.me, I received an email with the subject "Action required to complete verification." In the email was the following text and instructions: Action Required You're receiving this email because you verified your identity on a video call with an ID.me Trusted Referee on [date] in order to access benefits and services at The Internal Revenue Service. Click the link below to return to The Internal Revenue Service, click on the ID.me button, and allow consent to share your verified identity information. I clicked on the "Continue" link and was taken to an IRS web page (***). There was no "ID.me button" anywhere on the page. I then re-read the message and became worried about the text "allow consent to share your verified identity information." What exactly does this mean? Who or what is "Consent"? With whom is it sharing my verified identity information? (Or are they trying to say, for example, "click on the ID.me button *to confirm your consent to sharing your verified identity information with the IRS*"?) I don't get a good vibe from the idea that my information is being shared with some entity that is not named, and the fact that this text does not parse grammatically does not give me confidence in the source (it sounds like something a spammer would write). In hindsight, it may be a good thing that I wasn't able to complete the "Action required" in this email. I tried to leave a report with the company itself to suggest that at the very least, they should have some professional editors or techinical writers review their standard email communications with the public. Unfortunately, there was no venue for providing this type of feedback or suggestions on their materials.

Used computers from grade school through graduate school and throughout career as software engineer. I've used all kinds of buggy software from demo's to outdated software that we had to keep running "for just another quarter". ID.me is worst software I've ever encountered. Doesn't flow. Doesn't work. And is user UNFRIENDLY. No updates on what is going on. Never delivers email required to set up video conference. Take high resolution photo, after an hour wait, photo "unreadable". Get authenticated on phone over and over. Should all be ONE TRANSACTION with ONE END TRANSACTION or backout transaction, but you can't backout if customer is waiting on you. There is no timer as you wait on email (that never comes) to confirm starting a video conference. I used drivers license and passport and figured this should be a 2 minute process, much like creating an account at Fidelity. Then as you use the screens, it appears there is a combination of incompetence and lack of English language skills. For example, screen says UPLOAD IMAGE or TAKE PHOTO, choose PHOTO, next screen says IMAGE, you click and you go back to taking a PHOTO. Finally, I figure this probably a phishing scam. They got my drivers license and passport info, right? So I resend "unreadable" photo, and this time it is accepted as readable. No way a legitimate online business could stay in business running a very process this poorly. Forget about threads and processes on the backend or whatever is making the responses so slow, there is nothing intuitive or efficient about the front-end, user interface. You click YES on phone, no indication you chose YES, but at some point you click CONTINUE and hope for best. And CONTINUE doesn't indicate it is selected or not. They should cancel what they have and start over. I wouldn't trust this outfit with anything, least of all my identity. I'd recommend just paying your taxes as a guest, or finding any workaround for whatever you need to do with ID.ME

I was forced to use it for my IRS accounts. It is a waste of taxpayers money. The login is no different than the eServices login, whereby a code is sent by text message. After logging in, I can only access one of my three accounts. A link for a second account listed says I do not have access to the service (despite it being shown as active on the page). The third account is not even shown at all. I contacted ID.me and the response was 'Since you have successfully verified your identity with ID.me, please contact the IRS with any further questions regarding IRS online services.' Since none of these issues ever occured with the eServices direct login, it is clearly an issue with ID.me.

ID.me I received letter from the IRS regarding the need to contact them regarding what they believed may have been a fraudulently submitted tax return

I received letter from the IRS regarding the need to contact them regarding what they believed may have been a fraudulently submitted tax return (in my name). I called the given number but was informed that due to the huge number of received calls I should call later (and was not even offered the choice of being put into call waiting.) I then tried the option of verifying my ID at *** . This transfers me to ID.me. ID.me then, at various points in their process, request my Social Security number, and copies of my Permanent Resident card, my NY drivers license and my Social Security card , issued in 1991! (The latter helpfully advises me to keep the card - a piece of thin card - in my wallet and DO NOT LAMINATE. Try that for 31 years! The original letter from the IRS did not mention ID.me at all. Given that I had never heard of this private company I then had to check it was not a scam. The thing that beggers belief is that we have constantly been told by the US government to never share personal info like Social Security numbers and the details on other identity documents. Even worse, numerous IT companies have had security lapses resulting in the loss of private citizen data in the last 20 years. ID.me is a disaster waiting to happen. That said, at the very least, ID.me should negotiate with the the IRS to ensure IRS customer letters clearly identify ID.me as a contractor. Finally on a different note, the ID.me process is complex and seems to assume every taxpayer has access to a cell phone and/or a scanner. I did the process (albeit taking well over 45 minutes) and still then got referred to their Meet an Agent process - estimated wait time 1 hour and 15 minutes. I would suggest the Complaintsboard.com lobbies government to bring customer related services back inhouse. Taxpayers are expected to pay taxes; I would suggest the IRS has a duty to provide a sufficiently robust and large call-center system to be able to deal with customers directly.

ID.me T-Mobile offers better service than ID

T-Mobile offers better service than ID.ME, & ID.ME is a government website. I would not wish this pain on even my worst enemy! I contacted them back at the beginning of January 2022 in regards to my account being investigated for fraud. It is now MARCH 3rd 2022 and I have not heard one single resolution OR even a damn update! YIKES. This is about Fraud which is a VERY serious thing because I am trying to collect unemployment insurance and have been on hold for 3 months because of this company. Even if it was a password change I should be able to get through because once again this is a GOVERNMENT website. Its so sad that you have to search Complaintsboard.com and give a horrible rating because their representative or company does not care. This kind of carelessness should cause ID.ME to be closed down. What is the point of having workers if they are not answering the emails. They do not have another contact option either. NO PHONE NUMBER NO LIVE CHATS. Just email. I have emailed over 50 times and I have the PROOF ;( ! DOUBLE YIKES. I even had to contact a Rep. at the Unemployment Insurance for them to reach out as well which is a TRIPLE YIKES. I only need to have my email address updated so that I can carry on with my life but NO I have to wait on a representative to answer me. This is crazy and its not even COVID anymore so I do not want to hear any excuses. I always heard about ID.ME through other companies even my own company has used it but I never knew they would be like this for a government website. Look at the Complaintsboard.com reviews they speak for its self. Someone needs to invent a brand new ID.ME to put these people out of business. I am on the edge of homelessness and my fate rest in the hands of these representatives who do not want to do their job. Honestly I pray that no one else is going through this! Fraud and identity thief is something that they should always have a back up plan for, ALWAYS, since this deals with YOUR IDENTITY?! Complaintsboard.com of an F-- for me!

I had an account under an email address that I no longer have. I also went through a name change and so ID.me is making an extremely difficult for me to get my letter of eligibility for a VA loan. I have been trying to get this issue resolved for over a year. They appear to not understand that people change their names and delete email accounts. I am so frustrated!

So easy to navigate. Walks you through the process and the agent video call is time efficient.. Less than 10 minutes. Entire process took less than an hour and you can log in anytime to verify if time doesn't allow you when the verification video is ready to verify submitted documents.

ID.me I am putting this worthless shame and disgrace of ID

I am putting this worthless shame and disgrace of ID.me what I thought used to be a valuable resource. But I mistake that they are no longer is and in fact they are nothing but a sham. It is a runaround software that legit companies and organizations mistakenly believe is secure and reliable and efficient to use... because it used to be. It no longer is. The site seems to arbitrarily deny identification, even with recent info correctly entered. Repeatedly. They automatically blame the user. "It's your fault. You did it wrong." Tech support is a joke. Clearly whatever tech support they have is overwhelming to the point it is non-functional, which suggests that the system is so glitchy that no one can get it to work and must keep calling in for help. Complaintsboard.com should contact every company and state agency listed as affiliated with ID.me and warn them of the extent of the issue they should be held accountable for all the issues they are making and causing. I will certainly be spreading the word as best I can. And who knows what they are doing with folks' personal information? Have they been hacked? Who knows? They certainly aren't talking. I registered and open an account and I had to correct information that need to be updated phone and email it's taken them 12 months to finally get back and all they could say was your account has been suspended due to activity but they have no problem not explaining or saying what it was but I will say this they are not safe and they have allowed my information to be used let's say someone filing unemployment in California Nd Maine but I live in Texas so because they were easy to get hacked but they want to pint fall you for their gross misconduct and allowing this kind of stuff.. Then my state requires me to verify but because this [censored] hole id me instead making me lose benefits and [censored] unstop of overpayment and yet these mother [censored]ers can't do anything IDME wake up or get the hell out because I'm telling you about to see a ton and to

I go to file my unemployment and am required to have an account with id.me. No problem I thought...wrong. Id.me is a complete scam it's meant to prevent fraud but in so treats everyone like a criminal, unnecessarily delaying already crucial UE funds. Thanks to id.me failure of a verification system my bills are behind again! Id.me has NO phone customer service, Id.me only customer support is a short form to enter your contact info. After approx 24-48 hrs they send an email that only says sorry for the delay. I have spent approx 25 hours waiting to be video verified, every time I get in the queue it's a minimum of 5 hours. I finally made it to the video verification and guess what? Their video software didn't even work! I was told to download an app on my phone and that app didn't work either! The rep said everyone is having trouble connecting and said he would escalate my issue to a supervisor. The rep said they were forbidden from using any other video chat app (like Duo, zoom or what's app... Even tho these are stable easily accessible apps compared to their crap software).That was 2 days ago and no follow up from id.me Supervisor as I fall even further behind on bills. This entire company is a joke, this couldn't have been integrated into UE at a worse time and these people are completely ill-equipped to handle the large volume of claims...a recipe for disaster. I truly hope a class action lawsuit is filed soon, I'm sure millions of claimants would sign up and bankrupt this ridiculous company and hopefully fine or fire the people in our govt that green lit this disaster! Not to mention how invasive it is for a third party company to have all your private documents. With a company as horrible as id.me I'm sure they'll get hacked or sell your data or leave it unsecured. It's awful that an average private citizen relying on federal benefits has to jump through all these absurd hoops and trust our personal data with a company that doesn't even have a Complaintsboard.com credential. I wish I could give this company -100 stars.

ID.me This company is an example of what is really wrong with America today

This company is an example of what is really wrong with America today. No compassion towards the people they are charged with serving. Basically if you are left of center as it pertains to credit reporting or a lack of credit history you are in big trouble as there are few ways to "Prove SSN". which is the requirement if your credit check fails .I don't do credit . Don't believe in it. As a result I am left with using 1099's as a means to prove SSN but idme requires that the 1099's display your full SSN. None of the 1099's I have received have the full number displayed ,just the last 4 digits. This is a catch 22 and short of a hard copy social security card there are no other options available to me to verify who I am to this company. I have submitted multiple requests for clarification or alternative means to prove SSN but have not heard back on any of these tickets they say have been opened. I assume this lack of proper requirements will result in me loosing my benefits shortly as there is a two week turnaround to replace my hard copy social security card. This company is a nightmare. 0 customer service. 0 response even after multiple days waiting for these so called "trusted referees" to grace us with a video chat. One would think with half the states contracting with idme that they would throw some of their ill begotten funding into addressing the hoard of confusing and often impossible requirements and day long wait times often only resulting in getting thrown back into the cue. If you are a home owner there will be plenty of ways to prove SSN. If you are not a home owner expect to fail the SSN part of the application and be thrown into an endless circle of frustrating wait times only to be denied for ridiculous requirements including but not limited to (full SSN printouts on 1099's) which no one includes to combat fraud. Just goes to show if you are not part of this massive credit culture you have no place in America any more. Someone please make these people accountable to their charge . It's taking a huge tole on deserving Americans who's only transgression happens to be not having a steady enough of an income to need a bank loan. If I could afford a mortgage, I wouldn't need this insulting and debasing financial assistance.

ID.me After 2 weeks I haven't been able to even set up my account past my email address, password and telephone number

After 2 weeks I haven't been able to even set up my account past my email address, password and telephone number. I've tried to complete step one through the verification process by taking pictures of my valid drivers license and although it verified documents were submitted it then directed me to the previous page which would refresh automatically once the pictures were uploaded. after watching the blue circle of death spin for 4 hours I gave up and attempted to try again the next day. To my surprise I was instantly locked out of "my account" for (which shouldn't exist since I was unable to make it past the first of 5 steps in the verification process) for 72 hours due to to many attempts? This on only my second attempt to verify myself. I waited 3 days and attempted the drivers license upload again and same issue and I gave up after 3 hours of the same result. Waited another day and now my non existent account has been temporarily suspended! I've sent two help tickets but after a week and a half have only received generic responses saying Thank you for your request a support representative will be reaching out to you as soon as possible with assistance. Then a day later the second helpful support email was received stating Thank you for contacting ID.me we apologize for the technical issues you are experiencing with your ID.me account. We will contact you once the issue is resolved. Of course there is no live contact number to call where anybody besides an answering machine answers but nobody ever calls back anyway. Its been two weeks and I have been unable to submit my Unemployment certification for the past three weeks. ID.me is a farce, there is no customer service or concern on their part, I'm confident they are being paid by the state of NC weekly or monthly and in the mean time Unemployed people are having to deal with rent, car, and insurance payments as well as fuel cost to look for employment, groceries and medications which are all unaffordable and out of reach as they play this game with peoples lives as they continue to turn a deaf ear to those that need the social safety net set in place for the unemployed. There isn't a rating low enough to fairly reflect the inability of ID.me to preform the job they were hired to accomplish. Thanks for playing with our lives and affecting our health and emotions in such a dire time for so many people in need. Frustrated beyond belief in NC

I WENT TO THEIR SITE AND FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS TO VERIFY AND GOT A POP UP THAT MY DOCUMENTS WERE SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED. WHEN I WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT, MY DOCUMENTS WERE NOT THERE. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO RESEND THEM AND EVERYTIME IT SAID THAT THEY WERE SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED BUT THEY WOULD NEVER BE ON MY ACCOUNT. SINCE ID.ME HAS NO CONTACT NUMBER, I SENT THEM MESSAGES THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. ID.me My complaint is about IDme.com Indiana Unemployment Department has partnered with this useless company to verify identity and avoid fraudulent

My complaint is about IDme.com Indiana Unemployment Department has partnered with this useless company to verify identity and avoid fraudulent claims. I was laid off from my job a month ago. I am already in the system because I was laid off before in March to June due to COVID- 19 health directives. March I am laid off again. I was laid off the day after my last claim expired. I was directed to file my last voucher, click do not except and then file a new claim. It took almost a week just for the claim to go through. It seemed like the system had to catch up with itself. Then when the voucher to do page came up, I filed for my voucher. It didn't get verified and a message box above the to do box indicated identity needs to be verified. That box linked me to IDme.com. I uploaded all requested documents. Drivers license, social security card and passport. Not accepted. Additional documents. Uploaded my health insurance card. Not accepted. Uploaded my Nationalization citizen certificate not accepted. They said the name doesn't match my application. I received my US citizenship almost 30 years ago. I was not married then. The naturalization certificate is a government issued document. It is not renewable or updatable like a passport. It is one and done. These documents were uploaded several times upon request even though they state that one of the reasons for rejection is uploading your documents multiple times. I also did a face scan through a link they sent to my phone. They requested a video chat to verify my actual documents with an agent. The wait time is anywhere from 3 - 5 hours. When you finally get to connecting, you are asked to upload your documents again for approval before the chat can commence. After you upload your documents you are told to rejoin the que which is an additional 3-4 hour wait. It just goes on and on, round and round and you don't get anywhere. You can only contact them through email. They give you a ticket number. They answered the first email but did not resolve the issue. My second email has yet to be answered. I called the unemployment office. When I finally reached someone, I told them what was happening. They said that they partner with IDme.com but they can not help or intervene because they have nothing to do with the company. They will release my vouchers when IDme.com verifies my identity. I don't feel like I'm dealing with real people. It's like dealing with a computer that's been programmed with limited criteria. emails have scripted questions and answers that don't apply to your specific issue so, there is no resolution. Their emails are outsourced to yet another company, zendesk.com. If I could give this company zero stars, I would rate them at -0 stars. How am I supposed to get this resolved. I feel like I live in a third world country, not the United States of America.

The worst business ever - unethical and infuriatingly pathetic customer service. To begin, I simply wanted to file for unemployment and was forced to use this service. It tells you that only need to upload certain documents, but then after you have done so, requires you to upload more. Not even the bank, my doctor, or voter registration requires what they are asking for. Here is what was required of me: my license, passport, phone, email, a selfie, and video of myself... THEN they wanted to schedule a phone call/Skype session with someone to "verify" what I had already uploaded. I was supposed to be sitting by the phone with these documents in hand to hold up to the phone and waive them around and say "see...here they are for real"... The system forces this on you. I was placed in phone call cue 4 TIMES. I waited almost 13 hours the first day. Then uploaded everything again and waited 11 hours the next day. They wanted me to upload the same stuff again. Day 3 - in the cue for 3 1/2 hours (it said 30 minutes - such bs). After 3 1/2 hours it said "Connecting your call" but then disconnected the call and gave me another message. Now it said "You must upload photos of your documents. No scans. No pdfs". Okay... well I had uploaded photos - JPGs - and had done so a total of 5 times! I email customer service. The give you an auto generated response that says "Click this link". What is the link? A link that takes you back to uploading documents again. I reply to the stupid auto generated response and it says "This is e-mail is not monitored. If you have a question, click on this link and contact customer service". What is that link? It's the original link I already used. I opened 5 different tickets at customer service, thinking that would help. Nope. It has been 5 days and I still have not been verified and Customer Service does not exist. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. No reply to my email. I asked to file a complaint. No reply. And here is the biggest issue: Where is my personal and private data? Images of my passport? LOST in cyberspace where someone can hack it? They can't protect our private data/identity - they lose it and ask you to re-upload, but this is the company that is supposed to verify our identities? YOU CAN'T EVEN KEEP TRACK OF MY IDENTITY. Not to mention, what am I, a criminal? Do you want blood and a retinal scan? Why do you need this level of personal data just for my EDD application? I have collected unemployment in the past. It was good enough then and I should be pre-verified in the system. How this company is allowed to operate when it's computer systems aren't even built to handle their volume of business is a disgrace. These are people's most sensitive data this company is taking charge of, and it is reckless and careless. How can you not have Customer Service? This company is going to be smacked with a class action lawsuit. It is only a matter of time. Unconscionable.

ID.me ID.me blocking me from contacting IRS.gov

I have been trying to sign into IRS.gov since October 7, 2023. It is now January 16, 2024. ID.me STILL won't allow me to sign in. I provided the front and back of my drivers license and a live video of my face as well as my Social Security Number and a valid email address, but as of this time, I'm at work and can't do more until I get home. I came to Complaints Board because it was at the top of my Google search for ID.me contact phone number. Conveniently they don't have any live phone, any email or an address to contact them, but they're supposedly the guard of our IRS.gov site? I'm a natural born American citizen, and as such should be allowed to contact my government, its departments, agencies, and public servants. I don't think ID.me can block me like this. I REALLY need to sign in. If anyone has a way to contact ID.me in some real, live way or to get around needing to use them, I would LOVE to know. Thank you.

ID.me Account suspended

For almost the past year I have been trying to regain access to my account on id.me after my account was suspended for suspicious activity that I was doing for security purposes but no warning my account was suspended. I have sent several tickets to them to fix the issue but it has not been resolved so I tried to open a new account just in the past 2 weeks and I verified everything via video chat but never was able to even access either of my government accounts! Now the new account is suspended cause of trying to verify my identity again and again and still nothing has been resolved and this has caused several legal issues not being able to access my accounts and I’m about to contact my attorney to resolve this matter

ID.me Account suspended & fraudulent tax bill received

On 7/3/2023 I completed my id.me verification and everything was fine.

On 8/15, 8/26, 9/17, 9/26 & 10/9 2023 I contacted support to unlock my suspended account. In mean time I got a letter from IRS stating I owed taxes but I had no earned income in 2022 and only collected my disability check. I don't owe them anything, I had my surgery that year, I did not work at anytime in 2022.

I cannot get anyone to let me back in my account and I don't know why I cannot get into it. There is no number for id.me customer support to get a human to talk to so they can let me access my account or delete it and I got no help with all the emails I sent reaching out for help.

I created a idme account in July of 2023 ,I got verified by 2. Company's then idme suspended my account I sent messages asking to reopen it but no answer .so I made another account and tried to get verified by the IRS again but idme suspended my account saying technical difficulties and my account will go to the tech to be fixed but it never got fixed yet I just want to finish so I can answer the questions to get my refund .,But unfortunately the idme stops people from doing things and giving half baked answer and not solving problems ,they are creating more problems.

ID.me Account Suspended, no one from ID.me has reached out in last two weeks

On today 10-11-23 upon logging into ID.me, ID.me says our account is suspended. Our account has been suspended for the last two weeks and we don't know why. We have reached out via email and phone and no one has contacted us back. ID.me seems like it is a good company, however we need someone to contact us as soon as possible as our employees desperately need to be paid.

Yes, I have had a lady who has tied her number and email address to my identification. The issue not being resolved is the fact that I cannot update my information to get services and benefits from Social Security. I am also seeking employment to get help too. I have worked 4 months to fix this problem and issue. The lady who stole my information is using it to get credit and services that she is not entitled to.

ID.me discrepancy in emails holding up UI claim

I filed a claim with NJ unemployment and I am approved but because ID.ME has two different emails for me my verification on UI website says incomplete. i cant get a hold of anyone. There seems to be no connection between UI and id.me. I am verified says ID.ME. but i still cant certify. I need to certify i am unemployed and I was APPROVED for benefits it is just being HELD UP through ID,.ME. If this doesnt get fixed within a week and someone from ID.ME doesnt get back to me I am going to file a complaint with Attorney General of NJ.

When logging in to my account I receive “We're sorry, this account has been temporarily suspended. Please contact our customer support for assistance.” I have tried submitting a support request, but after filling in form when I press the “Submit” button nothing happens. I have tried both Chrome & Firefox browsers with same results.

After exploring all options to contact ID.Me I always end back at the contact support page which doesn't respond when trying to submit a request

My account has been suspended and I have filled out a support report to get my account straighted out. For months nobody from their support has contacted me at all. I'm trying to verify my info for my taxes so they can released by the government. Idme support doesn't seem to care. I'm a single mom with a special.needs child and I have struggled when I lost employment. My taxes would help get my special needs son stuff he needs. For three mo ths nobody has made any effort to help me get my account unsuspended. I will not recommend idme to anyone at all.

ID.me has suspended my account. [protected]@gmail.com.Contacted them on 8/7/2023 and again on 8/21/2023. Answered their questions. No response. Now I have to go to the IRS to defend my identity. Need this account restored. Tried setting up another account they have suspended all of them. This is causing me real problems in a business verifying my information for possible future employment. They say on their email that they will give a rapid response. not sure they understand rapid at all.

ID.me ID.me Identity verification

I was prompted by my Department of Labor - Unemployment to create an ID.me account and was given a link that took me to the site. I followed the directions to capture my DL and then was prompted to scan my face. Once completed the site directed me to return to the previous page but when I did it told me my account was "SUSPENDED". This was 5 WEEKS AGO!

I was instructed to follow the instructions in an e-mail they sent to me, which I did 5 TIMES over the 5 weeks since this started, yet NO RESPONSE!

In conversation with the State DOL, I was told by several different departments that this is a HUGE problem and as many as 85% of the calls they handle are the same complaint.

Desired outcome: I want my account fixed. The Division of Unemployment has told me they are waiting for ID.me to verify me so they can pay me, that is the only thing preventing me from obtaining my funds. I need to buy FOOD and MEDICINE!

I was finally able to get a phone number for ID.me, unfortunately, they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! A message tells you what their normal business hours are and to call back then. NO MATTER WHAT TIME YOU CALL YOU GET THE SAME MESSAGE!

This company is held responsible for people's INCOME, and yet they are criminally negligent in their services and actions.

ID.me I cannot verify My account using MFA

Hello,

When I added My College information, I was not asked for My State ID to verify My identity. I have been having problems with identifying MY ID for the MFA. I keep getting this message in the photo below,

That email is annissawords8...[protected]@gmail.com.

I Did Not Create that account and I Do Not Own that email address.

I have been messaging ID.me for months now about deleting that account and still, No One from Technical Support has Ever Contacted Me.

All I keep getting from other people is the issue is being looked at, Someone from Tech support will get in contact with you. That has not happened. It should be relatively easy to delete that account.

What is going on with this and Why has No One contacted Me about the status of this issue? This is so frustrating and I Want this issue taken care of Immediately. This is so annoying waiting for a response.

ID.me Someone who works in the technical department of ID.ME gives me a call and lets me know to do next.

I have an account to sign into the id. Me website.. However, from there, my attempts to go into the irs website requires me to verify my email address. I send a link to my phone, where I am asked to upload photos; I click the link, and I am asked if my email is correct (which it is) I hit yes and then get the message saying change rejected. I am not changing my email address, I cannot move past that page. I have sent several emails to customer support with no response. I have no idea what is next? Does one have to go to the physical location in sterling virginia to get resolution? No one picks up the phone during business hours at the customer service number. The message tells you to call back during business hours... But I am calling during business hours? How does one get help? Is there no response at all? I am simply trying to look at past tax records. This should not be this ridiculously complicated. Please advise!
