The agent was very professional. The agent helped to review the documents, angle the camera, and understand how to use the ID to access my account. I am still retrieving documents in this very busy tax season, I am still very stressed, and I am still not finished, but I am well on my way. It takes dedicated, patient people to help people in the tax season and I know they often get little rest. Talking with the agent instead of an AI figurine certainly gave me the tools to get me on my way. THANK YOU!

I was having problem doing a selfie for my identity so I kept trying to where I couldn't get a complete selfie of my whole face, but I didn't give up, so I was getting help from the chat message agent, and I asked if It was possible that I could talk to a live agent to help and I received help and the steps was very easy and quick and the live agent help me with the process.
I was Thankful. I was appreciative for the understanding, the helpful experience that was given to me.

I wish all of ID.me Member Support Representative (name Cierra) are all like her, then you will not have all this bad reviews. From the first time I received an email from Cierra regarding my verification issue with NV DETR, she figured out the first time what the problem is and find a solution ASAP. Shortly thereafter, I was 100% verified. The other four ID.me Support did not quite know what they're doing and it took four weeks before I was lucky enough to be help by Cierra. She did a hell of a job?. Great job!

Simple and safe way to conveniently verify your identity. I am greatly pleased with the straightforward and practical way with which my goal was achieved. Agent patiently reached out to me by phone because I was trying to get my browser to use the camera/ microphone on my phone. After getting it working, I was instructed to show my identification cards i.e. (driver license, insurance card). My identity was readily verified and we were done with the process. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to verify their identity.

ID.me The first time I had a good conversation with the IRS

The gentleman helped me with ID.me which i think is about stupid to put the kinda self service feature to help identify you due to the fact i now very few people who can make it past that they have to wind up talking with customer service. Anyway the man who helped me was very polite, very helpful with what i needed to do and was just very pleasant all the way around. More people who work at the IRS and other local, state, and federal employees could take some tips from this man. There probably wouldn't be so many angry customers.

ID.me Saves my agency big $$

I absolutely love ID.me. It has cut our agency's workload by over half. First, it's impossible for most people to navigate the ID.me app. Studies show the average ID.me user spends 3.26 hours over 4 days getting ID.me to work. Second, ID.me gives us pretenses to reject the applicants that do survive. Overall it adds 32.8 days to the approval cycle. Our agency is on track to achieve a 74%% reduction in expenditures for FY 2021 and this makes our governor look really good. I suppose you could say that ID.me let us offload our work onto our citizens. Well done!

ID.me More options for secure log on

Registration was easy and the apps is usher friendly. Had no problems registering. Recommend more options during logon for
Veterans traveling overseas who have to change out their U.S. sim card on their phone for a SIM card that works in the overseas country. The option to receive text or phone call to their number listed on their ID files during logon cannot be receive without changing out sims to U.S sims. Recommend other options like security questions or code send thru email. This is for Veterans temporary traveling overseas and not have to change back to their U.S. phone SIM card just to receive the phone/text code.Just a recommendations!

ID.me If at first you don't succeed

I didn't know when I was trying to use Id.me but my webcam was having issues connecting to the site, even though it said it was connected on my end. The first agent who got my call, I guess he couldn't see me, because he disconnected after a moment. But the second agent waited around for a second and then told me he couldn't see or hear me - was I having connection issues? I did the first thing I could think of and I shared my screen to show him I was actually there. He saw it and offered to do a Zoom meeting with me instead. After that, the entire process was quick and easy and I'm super thankful to that agent for going the extra mile and finding a way for us to still have our meeting. Thank you!

ID.me Gave me access to Social Security

Because of my history with identity theft I was unable to open an account with Social Security. The only option offered to me by the Social Security administration was a face-to-face visit once the COVID lockdown was over. This was very annoying as I couldn't confirm the status of my recent application for Social Security benefits. Low and behold the next time I gave it a whirl I was offered the opportunity to access Social Security via the ID.me site. I decided to give it a whirl and I uploaded my drivers license gave it to Social Security number which of course is floating on the Internet anyway and 1, 2, 3 I was able to get into the Social Security website and I can access all my information there. Thus I found this at least at first blush an extremely effective way to get into the Social Security administration website when other factors prevented it.

A 4th Step Resentment Prayer:

ID.me I did talk to a local person at the state revenue office in my town

I did talk to a local person at the state revenue office in my town. The lady explained that the IRS no longer had an office at that location. And she gave me a number to call the IRS in a town 50 miles away. So I called and was told that I need to set up an appointment. Thats when I decided to use ID.ME. Not being a tecnical person; I stumbled through the ID.ME process and somehow was successful in signing up to the IRS using my password.. So far I like the factthat I can sign in and take care of any businesswith the IRS.

ID.me The site needed information

The site needed information. I filled out the form with the information they wanted. They verified the information. They told me what identifications they need for the interview. I took front and back photos of my 3 ID's. When the computer interview started, I saw the IRS person in the center of my computer screen and my image on the top right of my screen. The person asked me questions which I answered. When he asked me for my ID's, I held them up, one at a time as directed, in front of my Computer Camera. It was a fantastic experience.

ID.me This is by far the worst company Ive ever dealt with

This is by far the worst company Ive ever dealt with. After weeks of emailing and attempted phone calls no one will help address my issue. I just receive "sorry for the delay" emails. My unemployment claim has been suspended and possibly denied due to lack of ID verification through this joke of a company. Their site states a "referee" is available to meet and then states the wait time is over 5 HOURS. Even if you do wait this ridiculous amount of time, NOTHING EVER HAPPENS. I am beyond disgusted with this completely unprofessional entity.

Was expecting a stressful experience, but the gentleman that assisted me via video chat was excellent and had me all good to go and on my way in under 5 minutes. While I'm still ambivalent overall towards the ID.me webpage interface/verification process due to its tediousness, in the end the person who helped me via video/phone chat was outstanding which I why I'm leaving a 5 star review. Give him a raise because otherwise I would still be frustrated.

ID.me Once I walked into the real i

Once I walked into the real i.d. center at the u.p.s. store everything was easy. There was no wait and it only took a few minutes. No cost either. I first had to go to an unemployment office. A coworker told me to see the security card and tell her nicely my issue. She new exactly right away that I ne we did my real i.d...she walked me through every step on my phone. She promised that she would not let me leave until I was on my way and would be finished shortly. This was the first time I did something like this and did not have a problem . amazing

If you can not get varified and have problems you will be directed to the contact us page of idme.com and will be given a ticket number so now you are on a list, and they will contact you in a year or so. If you own a cell phone that does not a let you open the idme.com live selfi link, Good Luck. I sure hope that the international hackers never get there hands on all this information form all the users...

I work in a school cafeteria and I get laid off for five weeks every summer for summer break and I collect unemployment for that time. In twelve years I've never had a problem until now. In Virginia you are now required to verify your ID with ID-me and the Virginia Employment Commition makes it as difficult as possible to navigate this process. Thanks to the great folks at ID-me for simplifying this by using Facebook. I messaged their fb page about my frustrations and it took a little while but they totally got me on track to receiving my payments. Thank you ID-me, I can now help my fellow employees get their much needed claims fulfilled.

ID.me Id.me was the critical link to apply for medicare as the ssi links would not work since the listed phone number was out

Id.me was the critical link to apply for medicare as the ssi links would not work since the listed phone number was out of date. Could not get password change because it was linked to the bad phone number. Once I updated the information with id.me all the processes to SSI and Medicare became 'linked' to the information that id.me had (with current info.) Two visits with SS employees, one on the phone and one in an office (live) could not figure out how to help me sign up for the myssi account directly. I had made an telephone appointment, five weeks from now, to get it squared out, but since I eventually got the updated info to id.me, do not need that appointment!

ID.me What an excellent service

What an excellent service. I was stuck, not knowing how to prove my identity, and ID.me's excellent process made it possible. Sending documents and the final Video verification was very simple and fast. I could not believe that finally, in a matter of minutes, I could verify my identity and proceed with my IRS login. This service is excellent. I wish it were there in 2019, and I am happy I didn't give up and rechecked the IRS website and found this possibility. I wouldn't know what to do without it. I sent three Faxes and two letters, all unsuccessful in the past years and had given up. The process was fast and efficient, and secure. God bless you all for helping people.

The gentleman that attended to my need for assistance verifying my identity in order to log in to my IRS account did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, quick, and efficient. He also had a calming nature that made it easy for me to forget my usual being uncomfortable on the camera, and I did not even have time to think about it during the call. He made sure to explain exactly what I was to expect as the next step and he then without being pushy or expectant of a positive review, did let me know that there would also be an email coming asking for review feedback and only asked if I would be so kind as to please participate. Then exactly as explained, came the processes he explained and within no time I was verified and able to continue on with my mission

I have been trying to get in contact with customer support now for over 24 hours. No one has gotten back to me about a payment that was placed by accident that I need to cancel. ID.me ID.me account suspned and got no respond for help

I apply EDD, CA and they partner with ID.me. During the process, my account was suspended. I follow the instruction to send a ticket. No respond. And I figure out I may have another email used for few years ago. I sent multiple tickets and still have no respond for many days.

I do not able to find other way of contact to resolve this.

They only have ticket sending and robo chats all looped in the same way.

I don't know how safe this ID.me can be if you get stuck there and no clue where is your personal data gone!

ID.me This company is terrible

Contacted ID.me and DWD over 50 times times since January 31,2021 without significant response or assistance.

Now I've emailed Commissioner Payne.

Verified by ID.me twice and have the emails to prove it?.

But still no actions, or solutions, just words...

On February 4,2021 during a call to DWD I was told it would take "a couple of days" for the "system to update" (my id).

Since then I have been "verified" by ID.me twice (as in two times) and received congratulatory emails which were faxed to DWD.

The first verification was simply document submissions, the second and most recent was thru a "live referee" facetime and document submissions. For this one I had to use my wife's cell phone (937) area code because I am unable to take pictures or "facetime" with my personal phone ***566

Following the directions of the ID.me "live referee", after completing my second verification on February 28,2021, I "revoked" the existing permission for DWD to have access to my ID.me account, logged out, then went back in thru my DWD uplink account to the ID.me button to give DWD permission to access my ID.me info?but for some reason, the ID.me system didn't work.

Recently your telling me to watch a youtube video that I've already watched to set up an ID.me account that'd been set up for months...

The problem isn't that I don't know how to log in to ID.me... The problem is that you folks or ID.me has an issue and no one is taking the time to resolve it...

If you'll notice on that video, the "comments" are turned off... I'm sure that's because thousands of people are having the same problem I'm having...

Will someone please take a moment and call me so I can prove one again my identity and put this issue to rest...

On March, 9,2021, several weeks after I first reported the problem I received an email from ID.me claiming they had "released an update to fix the problem" I'd been encountering?.(I thought the problem was identity verification, not a software issue).

If I hear from DWD you say it's their system, if I hear from ID.me, they blame your system...

On March 2,2021, at DWD's request I "faxed" nine (9) pages of identifying documents including drivers license, VA card, both emails from ID.me claiming I was now "verified.

I was told it would take 24 to 72 hrs to complete that review process.

DWD received those documents over 13 days ago.

Now ID.me has my permission for DWD to access my info and DWD has accessed my info, but I still show "Identity verification "as the reason for non-payment of any benefits on my PUA claim.

On a side note, DWD was authorized and reviewed the information in my ID.me profile on March 4,2021 and accessed all my information.

Now, when I log into my uplink account (twice a day), I scroll down to the green button, and after completing the ID.me log in procedure, it simply returns me to my uplink page...

When I then a request for them (ID.me) to "look into it"... I hear nothing back for weeks.

I am using the same email, phone number, and direct deposit bank that I originally signed up with on the PUA program. I'm also going thru the ID.me verification process each time I sign in to DWD which then sends a text code to my phone, so I'm not sure why any of this became an issue in the first place.?.

Some of you claim to be "forwarding my information on to the right department" and still nothing is resolved...

I'm not sure what else to do.

How long does it take to "investigate or adjudicate" a situation like this?. What is there to investigate or adjudicate since the holdup is listed as "Identity Verification"?. I have verified myself repeatedly...
No one from your office has made any attempt to contact me except for short emails responding to me saying, "it takes time".

I've haven't filed for unemployment in decades, and the computer systems are confusing to me, continuing to file vouchers seems pointless when nothing is being paid.

This is ridiculous! It had been 2 weeks of trying to upload my documents and being completely lost because I followed the link that the Unemployment themselves had sent me and taking me to the wrong place and not knowing what to do next over and over and over. Finally, I followed the link from someone else's email that the unemployment had sent them back in January and it took me to the verify section I was so relieved! I uploaded my documents, my face was scanned and my correct information popped up only to come back after 15 seconds to tell me that I could not be verified. I was then given the option to have a referee do a live video FaceTime call to verify my documents live. Yesterday I waited on hold 15 hours! At the beginning it said that my wait time will be 5 hours and 47 minutes and then when you reached 2 hours and 40 minutes left it said that for about 12 hours! The entire time it said that my wait time would be 2 hours and 40 minutes so I didn't know how many 2 hours and 40 minutes I was to wait but it was about 6,2 hours and 45 minutes intervals. Finally, my phone crashed and i had to restart my phone, thankfully there was an email asking me if I wanted to continue where I left off I logged in and this time it told me that I would be waiting for longer than 5 hours and I have been waiting for about 7 hours so far, currently I am still waiting I don't know if I am even on hold or if I've lost the call but it's there and the circle it's continuing to turn, but an email came that said do I want to continue where I left off so I'm not sure if that means that I've lost my turn again and I am just not aware of it or if I should just stay and continue to wait because it is a very difficult decision to make i certainly don't want to hang up if I am actually still waiting and what if I turn my head for a few minutes or go to the bathroom will they stay on the phone and say something and yell out loud we are here or will they just happily hang up, there are no updates, we are simply just waiting and hoping it goes through. I left a review on the Better Business Bureau website where they have an f rating and the complaints are all just about the same things hundreds of them, also if you look on the app at the Play store for the reviews, there you will see that they have not received not one positive review? This is the worst company chosen to obtain our personal information knowing that it is the only choice that we have usually we research the companies that we work for and have the choice do not work with them when they have reviews like this but in this case we have no other choice we have to go ahead and trust these people with our personal information not knowing what kind of people work for them and not knowing what they are good for since everything about them on the web is negative but we have to trust them and are relying on them to verify us in order for us to resume to receive our unemployment benefits or some people as I read to even begin their unemployment claims. It's not fair because no one is doing anything to stop this madness. I cannot believe that there was no other company that could have done this for them this company was just not prepared for the volume of the traffic they were going to receive so why did they agree to take on the challenge? If you can't do it just say you can't do it don't lie and disappoint the entire country and give this name to yourseld that you have now received for being one of the worst most unreliable company anyone has ever worked with! It's a damn shame, and I plan to report this to my local news, hopefully they will listen and hopefully I can help make some type of change because this here it's not cutting it! You can't help but to think that it is all part of scheme to keep you from getting your benefits because I know about four people who actually walked away from it and said forget it I give up they can keep the money! That's not right!

ID.me ID.me == PHISHING & PRIVATE DATA SCAM!

If I could have rated ID.me LESS THAN 1 star, I would!

This company was a STARTUP in March 2021 according to Forbes magazine?!

More than 90% of Colorado citizens who are on unemployment ABRUPTLY stopped getting benefits in April due to a NEW requirement of identity verification. This, in and of itself, is neither the problem, nor is it unreasonable, IF the numbers for identity theft relating to COVID unemployment are correct.

The problem lies in this company that DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY MEANS OF RESOLUTION and simply sends AUTOMATED emails to EVERY request for help that is submitted! This has been going on for MONTHS now!

I have uploaded MORE documents for identity verification than is required for an ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE or for the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION! They continue to REJECT documents that MEET THEIR OWN PUBLISHED LIST OF PRIMARY & SECONDARY DOCUMENTS!
In this way, they are CULLING the PRIVATE PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL DATA OF EVERY AMERICAN IMPACTED BY THIS PANDEMIC! This is EGREGIOUS FRAUD!

The whole purpose of their "Video Call with a Referee" is for an ID.me representative to be able to PHYSICALLY, in REAL TIME, review the uploaded documents and compare them to the person that is ON THE VIDEO CALL LIVE IN THE MOMENT! Yet we are never allowed to actually GET ON A VIDEO CALL as they just keep REJECTING DOCUMENT AFTER DOCUMENT, DESPITE THEIR MEETING THEIR OWN PUBLICLY PUBLISHED CRITERIA!

Our LIVELIHOODS and VERY LIVES have been put in the hands of this company and many other states have followed Colorado's lead and are now using this SHAM OF A COMPANY! WHICH MEANS THAT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE BEING BANKRUPTED AND LOSING EVERYTHING! WHEN FEDERAL BENEFITS ARE TIED TO A 3RD PARTY CONTRACT MADE BY THE STATE WITH A BRAND NEW COMPANY WHOSE PRACTICES ARE NOT ONLY SUSPECT, THEY ARE QUICKLY LOOKING LIKE CONSPIRATORIAL, FRAUDULENT PHISHING TACTICS, WHILE FAMILIES ARE GOING HUNGRY AND LOSING EVERYTHING! THIS CANNOT GO ON!

On my first attempt to verifiy, I clicked on the Verify Now button on the Colorado Unemployment website, just like hundreds of thousands of people have had to do. I uploaded my US Passport and it was, apparently, accepted.

At the same time as I clicked that button to go to the ID.me website, an account was, apparently, automatically set up, as all of my information was sent over to ID.me in session variables. I did not know this at the time and it wasn't until a few weeks later that I discovered an ID.me account had already been created.

It was at that time that I discovered what I BELIEVED was the problem in my getting verified: my SURNAME had been misspelled.

Now, how this could have happened, given that my ID.me account was set up AUTOMATICALLY, using SESSION VARIABLES that were presumably created and sent when I clicked on that Verify Now button in that very first attempt to verify my identity... well, I will leave that to the imaginations of any reading this review. I happen to be a web developer with over 25 years experience, so I have my own ideas regarding how this mysterious misspelling of my surname could have occurred.

You see, a misspelled surname would most certainly cause the verification process to fail each and EVERY time, guaranteed. And it did.

And despite MONTHS of requests to ID.me support to correct my surname, which would have been a quick, efficient and simple fix, they JUST GOT AROUND TO THIS CORRECTION 2 days ago, 6/16/21.

Funny thing, despite my surname correction, the verification process continues to fail. Forcing me into the Video Call with a Referee, a process whose SOLE PURPOSE is to, via a FACE-TO-FACE, LIVE, REAL-TIME, VIDEO CALL have an ID.me representative (or, Referee) PHYSICALLY, VISUALLY compare a person's uploaded identification documents to their ACTUAL PHYSICAL FACE on the VIDEO CALL, and in this way, identity verification is SUPPOSED to occur.

Yet, this is NOT how the process works. You see, the Referee apparently has the option to REJECT your documents, at will, and at their own PERSONAL DISCRETION, despite the PUBLICLY PUBLISHED LISTS OF ACCEPTABLE PRIMARY & SECONDARY IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE, WHICH IS PUBLISHED AND AVAILABLE, RIGHT NOW, ON THE ID.me WEBSITE AND WHICH I AM INCLUDING FOR ANYONE'S REVIEW.

When you are forced down this process of the Video Call with a Referee, you have to choose the combination of documents you want to upload, given you've already uploaded a PRIMARY document, it was accepted, but the ultimate identity verification still failed.

After the process failed several times and I realized they were not going to correct my surname anytime soon, I began the first of what has now been SEVERAL repeated attempts to do the Video Call with a Referee.

Well, much to my surprise, a person CANNOT EVER GET TO THE ACTUAL VIDEO CALL, to explain or ask or question what is happening because the "Referee" continues to REJECT EVERY DOCUMENT I'VE UPLOADED THUS FAR, DESPITE THEIR MEETING THE CRITERIA FOR SECONDARY DOCUMENTS AND SOCIAL SECURITY DOCUMENTS THREE TIMES OVER!

I've realized, it doesn't matter what I upload, because the bottom line is, they will verify your identity, MAYBE, in their OWN GOOD TIME AND WHEN THEY DARN WELL FEEL LIKE IT.

Or they WON'T.

I've uploaded more ACCEPTABLE SECONDARY DOCUMENTS than is required to get an ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE! Or for the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION to get a NEW CARD!

This company is CULLING the PERSONAL, PRIVATE, FINANCIAL AND HEALTH DATA OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

The "Referee" has rejected each and every one of my SECONDARY documents, despite the fact that each and every one meets THEIR OWN PUBLISHED CRITERIA for BOTH SECONDARY IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS AND DOCUMENTS ACCEPTABLE TO PROVE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!

Options:
A. 2 PRIMARY documents
B. 1 PRIMARY, 2 SECONDARY

I chose option B, 1 PRIMARY, which has already been accepted, plus 2 SECONDARY, one of which, my Birth Certificate, which has already been accepted!

The "Referee" has stated that they need proof of my Social Security Number.

Their PUBLISHED list of ACCEPTABLE DOCUMENTS FOR PROVING SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER have much overlap with their list of ACCEPTABLE SECONDARY documents, so I uploaded my annual IRS statement, which is a FINANCIAL DOCUMENT that shows my FULL SSN, FULL NAME, FULL ADDRESS.

They REJECTED this document stating it "did not meet the criteria for Acceptable Secondary Documents".

So I uploaded my 1098-E Tax Form for my student loans, which showed the last 4 digits of my SSN, having the first 5 digits masked with asterisks, as is customary for all financial documents UNLESS they are W-2's OR ANNUAL STATEMENTS FROM THE IRS!

I have also uploaded my Student Loan Account Summary which DOES show my FULL SSN, FULL NAME, FULL ADDRESS, but they REJECTED THIS TOO!

I don't know what else to do at this point. Any other documents I COULD upload would likely be REJECTED, while I'm certain they are creating an ARCHIVE of all of the documents I've uploaded!

This is RIDICULOUS and ILLEGAL! They REFUSE to follow their OWN PUBLISHED LISTS and CRITERIA.

They REFUSE to allow actual contact with a LIVE PERSON!

They respond to EVERY request for help with AUTOMATED BOT emails that go on for WEEKS!

This is EGREGIOUS and I am going to file a complaint with our state's Attorney General first thing in the morning!

I've supplied MORE than enough, MORE than what is reasonable, in ANY circumstance, to prove my identity and they simply will not respond or act in ANY KIND OF GOOD FAITH!

This is NO WAY to do business and I now believe they are culling our data!

Everyone who finds themselves here, reading reviews like this needs to stand up and REPORT TO ANY AND EVERY AGENCY WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE, because I believe ID.me is a SCAM and what they are doing is CRIMINAL!

After going through a very long, involved and frustrating process, I finally was able to log into ID me. However, my information was merged with another person’s personal information! I immediately tried to contact IDme...you cannot do so by phone, only by their website’s customer support. Upon clicking the link, it says: “Our Member Support Team is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Click the Contact Support button to contact our Member Support Team. We will get back to you as soon as possible." ACTIONS: 1) I contacted Customer Support on Friday October 16 2020 at 4: 11 pm--putting in my message: “In performing this whole ID process, i finally signed in and the account is someone else's! Please assist.” 2) I received an automated email from them right away (4:13pm) saying: "Thank you for submitting your request for assistance. A Member Support Representative will be reaching out as soon as possible with assistance. For your records, your ticket number is ***." 3) No one had contacted me and I was concerned about my identity security so on the same day, Friday, at 6:04, I again messaged : “Please contact me quickly to resolve this important security beach. It's been two hours so far that I have contacted you and this situation is concerning. When I log on to I'd,I get another person's information merged with some of my information. Thanks.” 4) On Sunday, 10/18/20 at 5:03pm, I received this automated email: “Hello, We apologize for the delay. Rest assured, we received your initial support request (Ticket Number ***.) and our Member Support Team is working on providing a personal reply to your question(s). We will have a response for you shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to check out [ID.me's FAQ page](https://idme.zendesk.com/hc/en-us)*** as most questions can be answered using the articles provided. Warm regards, ID.me Member Support.” 5) On Monday October 19 at 5:03pm, I received another automated email: “Update: ***--We apologize that it is taking us longer than expected to get to your ticket. Your issue is very important to us and we are working diligently to get caught up and respond in a more timely manner. A Member Support Representative will be reaching out as soon as possible with assistance. If this is in regards to an urgent need to verify your identify, please send an email with your Ticket ID # to urgent.[protected]@id.me and we will validate and verify the request. Thank you for your patience and stay safe, Kyle S Vice President, Member Support.” 6) Two days ago, 10/20, I responded to the automated email, saying: "HELP ME IMMEDIATELY My information has been merged with another person's. You need to address this now please. Contact me." 7) Since Monday, there has been no more correspondence from this company. It is now Thursday and I am concerned about my security. I have not bothered to, as is suggested in one of IDme’s emails: “If this is in regards to an urgent need to verify your identify, please send an email with your Ticket ID # to urgent.[protected]@id.me and we will validate and verify the request” because I believe I would have received more of a bureaucratic run around since it specifically says it will address requests and not, as is what I need, address corrections.

ID.me Lack of customer service (no phone number, no email response, a web bot that loops in unhelpful ways) contact to fix broken login system

There is no way to talk with a person on the phone. The virtual chat bot loops in circles. I have an urgent need to log into a government payment portal to access federal projects. I cannot log in because ID.me took over access a week ago. No one is returning my emails.

My only way to resolve this may be to file a lawsuit to seek relief for our non-profit organization. We depend on access for payroll and operating expenses. This has been denied by INSUFFICIENT "customer service."

Lawsuit pending

Claimed loss: We are losing up to $70,000+ per month due to ID.me's lack of responsiveness. We can prove this in court!

ID.me My id.me account is temporarily suspended

Over the last 2 months I've contacted customer via support about my id.me account several times. I am legitimately trying to access my account and not hacking. They can reverify me if need be. I need it to access my irs.gov account.

Calling the IRS is a major hassle and I'm often overseas and don't get my emails.

I've complained to the better business bureau.

SLOW SLOW REsponse from id.me and haven't heard from them in 2+ weeks.

This is ridiculous and unacceptable.

The customer service is horrible and unacceptable.

Claimed loss: I really want to sue ID.me for the hassle and fustration and time lost due to bad customer service. $5000 at least.

Desired outcome: REINSTATE MY ID.me ACCOUNT or at least

started 1/5/24. First I created my account and it would notverify. I submitted a request to change my name. firstrequest was rejected and second was approved. Once myname has been changed, I was verified. I should be happynow, right. NOPE, My account is "temporarily suspended". Iissue a help ticket 12X, spend 7 days trying to fix it, get itfixed, get help from the chat bot, i search the internet andlook for a way to contact ID.ME. Well, I can't get ID.ME torespond to my HELP issue tickets, there is NO real chat, noreal email and no phone number. I am about to lose the jobOFFER. I just received and ALL bc ID.ME can't provide theservices they say they will. I can't not file for SSN, IRS, NYS,ENEMPLOYMENT, ETC. Which is all tied to my "VERIFIED"ID.me account. ALL I WANT IS TO HAVE MY ACCOUNTACCESSABLE.

ID.me This crazy!!!!!!

I have made a ticket for help because my IDME ACCOUNT SUSPENDED! And I get the same email back to do things. Have done for about a year! I have been trying for a whole year this is so not right! I never get anywhere or help but same message saying same thing for a year BS! I can’t file unemployment just gave up can’t get my tax Transcript I can’t do anything no number to call him no actual help just the same repeated message they give you this is ridiculous a year this is like giving you a piece of candy but you having no arms how do you supposed to open that candy right this is crazy somebody help me now please thank youThe attached picture is the same message I’ve been getting every time I try to submit a ticket for a whole year the same repeated message ridiculous

ID.me No customer service

I have been trying to get into my ID.me account for weeks because I am trying to apply for SSI. I first applied a few years ago and do not remember my password or own the same phone number. It is demanding that my old phone number be verified to recover my account and is offering no alternative to this verification step. Their automated support agent runs in circles, providing no solutions other than to submit a support ticket that will be ignored. There is no phone support to contact and they have been ignoring my emails for weeks.

Claimed loss: Cannot get into my account to apply for government benefits.

Desired outcome: They need to reply to my emails requesting support and assist me back into my account.

ID.me Suspended account

I have submitted probably six tickets in the past month that I cannot sign in on the ID me page. I wanted to see if I could sign into my account that I made a while back and it worked. When I went to sign in again, it said my account has been suspended. I have tried everything. I even tried creating a new account which just caused me more problems. The only way I can get into my account was troubleshooting the page and then sending the link to myself on my phone through a Chat app. If this is just a page where people complain , and there is no one to help me please let me know because I’m looking for support here on how to get this fixed .

ID.me Cannot access original id. Me email account, customer service will not respond

I have been attempting to verify my identity with ID.me, with the Internal Revenue Service. I do not have the original email, nor do I have access to it, r******[protected]@gmail.com. I suspect fraud on my account. I created another account [protected]@yahoo.com, it is suspended. I created another account [protected]@gmail.com, it is suspended. There is one more account [protected]@gmail.com. All of these accounts are suspended.

I emailed customer support Friday, 1/12/24, with no response.

I again emailed customer support on Tuesday, 1/16/24, as a possible fraud on r******[protected]@gmail.com. I do not know what the logon is for this email, much less what the password is. I have requested a video chat several times, with no response. The response was that this possible fraud will be investigated and ID.me will reply to me. I emailed again this morning, 1/18/24, with no response.

Desired outcome: I want this ID.me account, r******[protected]@gmail.com, deleted; use other email address to verify.

I have an ID.me account with an email address that I do not recognize, nor have access to, r******2@gmail.com. I have tried to verify using other email addresses that have and all of those are suspended. The addresses are: burkeclaudia@yahoo.com, claudiaburke76@gmail.com, claudiajackson3029@gmail.com.

I need to verify with the Internal Revenue Service and unable to do it.

I've filed several tickets with MSOC, including possible fraud on 1/16/24. I've also requested for video chat several times, no response. The response I received was that it would be investigated, that's the last I heard from MSOC.

I filed another complaint on 1/18/24 requesting response by phone, I'm still waiting.

ID.me ID.me blocking me from contacting IRS.gov

I have been trying to sign into IRS.gov since October 7, 2023. It is now January 16, 2024. ID.me STILL won't allow me to sign in. I provided the front and back of my drivers license and a live video of my face as well as my Social Security Number and a valid email address, but as of this time, I'm at work and can't do more until I get home. I came to Complaints Board because it was at the top of my Google search for ID.me contact phone number. Conveniently they don't have any live phone, any email or an address to contact them, but they're supposedly the guard of our IRS.gov site? I'm a natural born American citizen, and as such should be allowed to contact my government, its departments, agencies, and public servants. I don't think ID.me can block me like this. I REALLY need to sign in. If anyone has a way to contact ID.me in some real, live way or to get around needing to use them, I would LOVE to know. Thank you.

ID.me Account suspended

For almost the past year I have been trying to regain access to my account on id.me after my account was suspended for suspicious activity that I was doing for security purposes but no warning my account was suspended. I have sent several tickets to them to fix the issue but it has not been resolved so I tried to open a new account just in the past 2 weeks and I verified everything via video chat but never was able to even access either of my government accounts! Now the new account is suspended cause of trying to verify my identity again and again and still nothing has been resolved and this has caused several legal issues not being able to access my accounts and I’m about to contact my attorney to resolve this matter

My account is suspended and using the support email function is not resulting in an unsuspended account.

I need to use the ID.me account to verify my identity for my application to NJ unemployment to process. I have no income and need this to be processed.

Having a suspended ID.me account is causing a huge financial hardship.

I need to risk my identity being stolen to keep money from coming in to pay my bills and keep food in the fridge and a roof over my head.
