I had a bad experience with Homepro Remodeling & Construction, Inc
I had a bad experience with Homepro Remodeling & Construction, Inc. I met with a guy named *** on April 3rd to sign some papers for a remodel. He told me I had to pay a deposit of ***m and I had a week to do it. I tried to cancel, but *** didn't answer my calls. I called the office at *** to get my money back, but they said they would call me back and they never did. I called again on [protected] and talked to someone who said they would come by on 07-11-2022 at 4pm, but they never showed up or called. I called again today, [protected], and left a message and texted the office because they don't have a phone number to call. They texted me back and said someone would get back to me, but I haven't heard anything yet.

We hired HomePro Remodeling in October to turn our backyard into a DADU
We hired HomePro Remodeling in October to turn our backyard into a DADU. We signed a contract on 10/11 to pay $89,573 for the work. We paid $60,910. The contractor said the work would be done by March 1, 2022. After we agreed on the design, our contractor hired an architect to make plans. They hired subcontractors to remove old carpet and repaint walls. We were told it was okay to do this while waiting for the permit. In early 2022, they said plans were submitted to the city. In March 2022, they said there was a "huge backlog" of permits. But records show the permit wasn't submitted until Sept 19, 2022. Our contractor blamed the city for delays. Work stopped, except for an electrical panel upgrade. In Sept 2022, they said the city approved most items, but a few revisions were needed. HomePro resumed work, which shouldn't have happened before the permit was finalized. They said it was okay to create a hole for plumbing, electrical, and sheetrock. In Dec 2022, a new project manager said the old one mismanaged the project. HomePro is going out of business and won't finish our project. They don't answer calls.
