I got a few quotes for cleaning my gutters. I told Dan the Gutterman that I didn't want to hire his company. I paid another company to clean my gutters on June 18th. I left town on July 3rd and came back on July 5th to find an invoice in my mailbox for $150 for gutter cleaning. I got a letter on July 7th saying I owed $155.88 for gutter cleaning. I texted them and said they weren't asked or allowed to do the work on my property. I also said I'd report them to the authorities if they kept bothering me. A lady left me a voicemail on July 23rd asking for payment for their services on July 5th.

I gave Dan The Gutterman $245 to remove ice dams and replace my gutter on 2/13. They did remove the ice dams and replaced the gutter with the new one I gave them. But when they installed the new upper gutter elbow, they bent it almost flat, causing it to fill with ice again immediately. They also popped the seam on the gutter side by over-bending it on installation. I told them to wait until spring to repair the frozen underground drain line because it wasn't installed far enough into the yard to drain away from my foundation. They kept saying it was fine and never fixed where it drained. The bent gutter elbow filled up immediately with all new ice in my new gutter, and they ruined the new gutter by not installing it correctly. When it started to thaw recently, I called them three times to tell them about the issues, but they wanted to charge me another $145! With the rain, water was running right down on my foundation and squirting out the upper gutter from the seam they split, and the flattened elbow water was backing up and running down on my facia and outside the gutter. I hired another contractor to look at what they had done. He showed me the flattened elbow on installation and split seam from being forced on at installation. He told me no way it would drain right, just back up immediately with rain. I gave him a new elbow, and he installed it correctly, and it's working and draining away from my foundation properly. He also added an extension on the gutter to make it drain correctly away from my foundation. This cost me $138.00 to have their errors repaired. I want reimbursement for the $138. They were paid $245 in full for defective and incompetent work. I've called them four times with no answer or returned call at all.
