Holland America Line review: Room noose

We were in room 8115 the past two weeks on the Oosterdam ship ending in Room. This was the first time on the numerous cruises we have taken that we were on the floor right below the entertainment. Our room was right below the tables near the pool and very close to the bar. Late into the evening and early in the morning we would hear the chairs constantly scraping along the floor. It was impossible to get a good nights sleep. Where everything else on the cruise was excellent this constant noise interfered with us being unable to sleep.

The only other issue was with the spa. My wife and I purchased a plan to use the steam room, sauna and hydro pool for the entire cruise. For the first 3 days we were not informed that the steam room wasn’t working. When the steam room was working the sauna room wasn’t. There was only 1 day where both rooms were working. I feel we should have received some credit as we paid over $450 for this use.
