Terrible window service after warranty is over. I've had problems with the kitchen window twice now. The first was covered by warranty. Second time I offered to pay for repair. They said the warranty has expired. They told me they would contact a subcontractor. No replies for months by a contractor. The windows has still leaks from rain the past winter. I'll never buy from Hall's again. The other windows are also leaking wind and cold now. The windows should last longer than 10 years...

We hired Halls Windows to put in a slidin glass door, 3 windows, and a side door in July . It is now April and the project is not complete. We paid $30,378.45 for this unfinished, frustrating project. Halls gave us a sloppy, handwritten customer work order to sign on July 8, but they did not keep in touch as we waited several months for the doors/windows even though they had $29,471 in their possession by Dec. 4, 2019. We were under the assumption that the painting on the exterior around the frames would be included. Apparently, we were wrong due to our inability to read the handwritten work order. Halls said that they would honor our misunderstanding by sending out a painter to do the job. The painter they sent out last week put up the wrong color and did not paint around the slidin glass doors. This project has been a nightmare from start to finish. Their mistakes - starting with ordering the incorrect side door and leaving out an outdoor scaffold in front of our house throughout the holidays (they apparently forgot)- have been difficult to live with.

Hall's Windows installed a 10' sliding glass door for my outdoor room in my backyard last year (end of February ). This project was done to building code and permit from the County. A week after the installation it rained and water started leaking into the room from the bottom of the slider. I told Hall's right away and sent pictures of the leak areas. The service coordinator (***) sent their concrete subcontractor to fix the issue. However, after four repair attempts by this subcontractor over several weeks the leaks kept happening. After several tries to get *** to address the problem he sent their lead service person (***) to figure out the issue. *** said that the door was installed wrong from the start and it needed to be re-installed. This was done in November , a big effort involving demolishing stucco, removing the slider, weatherproofing, re-installing the slider, and patching the stucco around it. It took several weeks and visits to get it done. But, the first winter rain after the re-installation caused water leaks again, this time from the top and bottom corners of the slider. After several tries to get Hall's to respond to me, *** sent the stucco subcontractor (***), who repaired the stucco areas with new building paper and waterproof coating over several weeks. But, the next rain right after this fix caused a lot of leaking, now from the top track of the slider and corner areas. I sent pictures to Hall's right away and waited several weeks to hear from them. After several more reasonable tries to get a response I asked *** to connect me to the owner of Hall's (***) in December . *** said sorry for their bad customer service, assured me that the product and service was guaranteed for 10 years, and promised to fix the problem as soon as possible. But, the issue still hasn't been fixed and the last rain in March still caused leaks into the room from around the door. It's been over fourteen months since Hall's started the project and I'm still waiting for a solution... Thinking about my customer experience from Hall's, I've been more than fair and patient. Sadly, I have no choice but to share my experience with others and file a complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com.
