Gulf Air 24 hours flight delay

I have written numerous letters to the airline about the compensation i deserve after experiencing a flight delay that was almost 24 hours late on the 23rd of September, instead of departing Bangkok at around 17.30 pm, we finally departed at around 00.30 am .on the 24th of September .we arrived Bahrain early hours of the 24th morning and was supposed to have departed Bahrain around 22.00pm only for the flight to be delayed for another 3 hours . we finally left Bahrain at around 25th morning without any explanation

I have been pursuing my compensation for almost 8 months and have not got any response from there customer service... I have also made numerous calls but have not been taken seriously ... No one from Gulf air has bothered to contact regarding my compensation

Desired outcome: have not been contacted despite numerous attempts and lote of phone calls

Gulf Air Delayed baggage

I have struggled for the last 7 days without the Baggage and now I have to buy the suitcase etc for my travel back so ,I would like to submit the claim for lost baggage and need compensation for the same.If I am not able to get proper service and response, I might be forced to take legal action on my return to Uk

I have tried contacting several time the Gulfair office in chennai and Bahrain for the Baggage transfer for the last 2 days and have not been helpful at all and they said they cant help me as in this situation and say baggage has not come from Bahrain and no more they can do . Please can team make arrangements for sending these 2 bagges to chennai ASAP by tonight flight from Bahrain to chennai .

Gulf Air Refund not Received

I book a ticket last Tuesday for BH-IST-BH. When I confirmed it and paid it your staff Ms. Akila she made the payment twice so the credit card was debited twice. Now, they tell me that it will be refunded ASAP. However, when I called your customer service I was informed that it will be refunded in maximum 21 days. Why I have to wait this long since this is not my mistake. I need that amount in paying our government dues which there is delayed payment charge if its not settled immediately, why we need to suffer for someone else mistakes? For your reference the ticket no. is [protected] & [protected], amount is 1,272BD. WE NEED THE AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS NOT JUST 100BD.

Gulf Air Service

I faced the worst service experience till now i would never ever recommend the gulf airline to anyone,

If my laptop bag carries my documents then i don’t think so that there is any problem in it and my cabin bag i want to sent in check in but they old me pay extra this thing happen while going from Mumbai to Bahrain few days back i travel from London and there was no issue with weight or luggage everything was smooth and easy going but to come from Bahrain to India and India to Bahrain it is a mess they charge me near about 11000 rupees just for one flight that is Mumbai to Bahrain after that no charge at all

I waste my time and energy and another main problem if i miss out any one documents then i ll try to sue as well as i feel like it is an harassment and i also marked one thing they are bais too after my turn one couple was there and there both together have 4 cabin bag and 1 laptop bag and it was as well over weight but they can go

Speech less i feel like to this feedback every where on LinkedIn and Facebook and everywhere..

Staff as well not good one saying different and another one will say different i shuffle my bag for 6 times and at the end i talk with manager he was just rude he didn’t listen to the matter and just spoke you need to fulfil the rules of weight .

Ridiculous experience

Gulf Air Refund for 40 hour delay flight lxscoa gf42

Gulf kept delaying each hour with a new time. Resulting in a 20 hour delay just to board the flight.
Gulf staff refused to book us another flight as requested, even at my expense so I will not miss my meeting.

Delay was 20 hours and 1 day in Bahrain. Then one day stuck in a hotel In Bahrain. Gulf Air transfer staff refused to give us an airport hotel or book is a flight at my expense.
Gulf Air staff threatened, “would we rather be in an airplane with a technical issue and a forced landing in Iraq “

We were put in a bus and Locked in a cheap hotel with no food.
We were not allowed to eat. Not allowed to go to roof top to get air or leave the hotel. Not allowed to order food and forced to eat a chicken masala that was for chickens, not humans. The food we received was for animals, not humans.

The hotel provided and hotel staff was corrupt. The transport to the hotel was also corrupt.
I assume Gulf Air sub contracts delayed passengers to others to care for. We were treated bad.
Obviously, the contractors don’t feed the people, but charge Gulf Air extra. They also use cheap hotels to make extra money.

Gulf Air has a duty of cars to the customer. They can not pass this responsibility to a sub contractor that imprisons passengers and treats them like prisoners.
We missed a Thailand government official meeting in Bangkok. The cost was equivalent to 4,500 euro. The stress caused cannot be described.

Desired outcome: Compensation of 4,500 euro. A formal apology. Not to be ignored as currently.

Gulf Air Delayed flight

My flight was delayed on 23rd October 2022 by 7 hours as a result of which I and my husband suffered great distress as we have serious medical conditions. So I would like to complaint. I have e-mailed before twice but no reply. We were a family of four. No hotel was provided and the food was of very poor quality. We had to spend the whole night in discomfort on the airport till the flight in the morning after 9 am.

Gulf Air Flight gf080 (11 dec) at 9. Pm

Hello,

My name is Ahmed Farouk, I had a flight yesterday (11th of December) from Cairo to Bahrain at 9pm on flight GF0080 (ticket attached) where I had the most unpleasant and disturbing situation in my life!

I arrived at the check in counter at 7.30pm with two bags (one of them is 10kg and other one is 30kg).. The supervisor (his name is mohamed elsayed) who is the most unprofessional and rude person I met in my life (I am attaching his photo) refused to make check in for me and asked me to reduce the weight of the large bag.. I started moving items until one bag is 25kg and the other is 15kg but he still refused to onboard me on the flight until I pay extra luggage which is around 110 USD (2700 EGP). I was very surprised from his position as it was clear that he only wanted to collect Money, but in order not to miss the flight, I paid the extra amount with my credit card (attached) and while my luggage was on the counter for checkin, he suddenly pushed my bags off the counter and started removing the the labels form my bags and started pushing me away from the counter while shouting and yelling infront of everyone and closed the counter and left me with my luggage with no boarding pass, and as a result, I could not get on the flight because of him.

Honestly, I never had such a bad experience before with any airline and this is the first time I have such situation despite I am going back and forth between Cairo and Bahrian and other countries in Middle East and Africa at least 2-3 times a month as I live now in Bahrain and move a lot because of my work. But because of this situation, I lost trust in Gulf Air and myself and my family and friend will never repeat it again in my life until you help resolve my situation.

I request your support please to take disciplinary action again this unrespectful supervisor who gives very bad image to gulf air and treats guest's unprofessionally and aggressively with no reason and he was the reason for missing my flight and missijg a very important meeting the next day at work. You can understand how disappointing and frustrating this could be.

I also request full refund for my ticket as he is the one who made me miss my flight although I arrived at the airport long time before onboaridng and also I request full refund of the extra weight amount that he made me pay but at the end he didn't allow me onboard.

Gulf Air Missed Luggage

I was traveling from DFW to HYD via gulf Air. On my last leg of the journey from Bahrain to Hyderabad on Dec 4th, 2022 via flight GF274. The staff asked me to check in my hand carry bag. I did and upon arrival to Hyderabad the bag was missing. How can the airline not load the bag taken out because the overhead bins were full and the bag was left in the bridge and not check it in in the same flight? This had caused severe stress and untold misery on my vacation as I did not have my medication for three days.. please investigate and get back to me on the corrective action and compensation.

Desired outcome: Please issue a refund of the ticket as compensation for inconvenience and ruining of the vacation.

Gulf Air Seat Selection

My wife and I travelled to DXB on 21Oct on GF504. I am Falcon Gold member so booked and paid for emergency exit seats to DXB and for the return to BAH on GF507 on 26th October.

However, when we boarded both flights our tickets had us seated in regular seats. I asked the agent when checking in and they assured me that they were emergency exit seats but they were not.

Gulf Air Baggage

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the way your airline Gulf handles passenger luggage. I travelled to Peshawar Pakistan from London Heathrow TERMINAL 2 @10:00am flight number GF002 Gulf Air 25/06/2022 to BAHRAIN on 25/06/2022

Then from there we travelled to Peshawar on 26/06/2022 with my family including my daughter who was going to get married on 30/06/2022.

Unfortunately all my and my families luggage was lost this was totalling to 14 suitcases. You can imagine the upset and stress I underwent at the time. I was informed by the airport authorities that my luggage had been misplaced and that it would be delivered to my address after 4 days when the next flight was incoming.

I was told my luggage had never been placed on the aeroplane and it was still in London Heathrow. I had to calm my daughter who was getting married in only 4 days you can imagine the anger and stress that was caused let alone extra hassle

Of trying to replace all the items that we had packed including the wedding outfit for my daughter and the Rest of my family that also had no luggage due to the service of your crew at Gulf airlines.

I put in a complaint at Peshawar Airport customs.

The missing luggage tag numbers were as follows:

GF768353, 54, 55, 56,57,58,60,65,366,371,72,73,74,59

I then left the airport and was calling everyday to Peshawar airport to ask if my luggage and families luggage had arrived, everyday I was being told “sorry we have not yet received it and when it does we will call you”

The Distance from the residence we was staying in from Peshawar airport was a duration of 6 hours.

My daughters wedding had happened on 30/06/2022 I had to replace all the outfits, jewellery and foot ware and Gifts costing me £7,000 if not more. My daughter did not get the outfit she would have liked to wear at such short notice and had to purchase one that was premade. This caused a lot of upset, anger and animosity at the wedding which was meant to be a very happy occasion but due to this misfortune and poor service of your airline the atmosphere was very sad.

I was then contacted by Peshawar airport on 5th July 2022 to say that the luggage had then arrived I was very upset as what use was the items to me now that my daughters wedding had happened. I asked the airport manager please could you get the luggage delivered to where I was staying however they said no as the journey was over 6 hours and they could not come

To deliver the luggage. They said I would have to come collect the luggage myself.

I then had to book a van and travel to go get the luggage. This cost me an additional £250 to hire a van and bring the luggage to where we was staying. This has to be one of the worst airlines I have used and travelled with.

In the first place, I did not expect such negligence from a reputed airline brand like yours. Worse still, I did not receive my luggage till after my daughters wedding which was no good to me. This is truly disappointing, and I find it completely unprofessional how everything was dealt with. How could with all the security and technology available to you as a large airline could you completely miss-place baggage and not even have it bagged onto the aeroplane.

I will not be using airline in the future and I want to take my complaint further to your head office and I want to be compensated for the additional expenditure I had to face for your companies unprofessionalism.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible to discuss how you will deal with this complaint.

Gulf Air Flights

I was due to board a flight from Athens, Greece, with final destination of Sydney Australia.

I was NOT notified that to board this flight, as it was connecting through Manila, that i needed a 'Health Pass' in Manila, subsequently i was not permitted to board the flight (GF42, going to Bahrain, then on GF154 going to Manila to connect with a CEBU flight at Manila to take me to Sydney, Australia).

I am seeking a refund of AUD$890.83 for the flights (GF42 & GF154) i was suppose to fly on.

Gulf Air Cancelled flight and no refund

my flight was cancelled due to Civid-19 , Gulf Air promissed me to reschedule my flight or refund me, when I asked for rescheduling they requested me to pay more than double price for what I paid at the beginning ( the staff in the call center charged me " a non show fee + chaging fee + one year ticket validity fee" , their answer was " better for you to buy new ticket than asking for a reschedule, then I asked for a refund they didn't reply to my complaint case.

Gulf Air Staff misconduct

I have been in contact with gulf air to explain as to why I was not able to board a flight from Bahrain to Frankfurt due to a ticketing issue they had internally.

I was advised by staff that I was able to board and to wait by the staff member until she reissued/printed a ticket for me.

The staff member was dismissive, was taking personal calls on facetime with one headphone is throughout the 5 hour wait. I was standing by the desk the whole time.

I Mrs. Surya Kasiroh Bt Jari had flight to kuwait on Sunday the 10th July, 2022 at 6.30 am we reached Airport at 3.00am while boarding airport denied allowance of cartons initially and we purchased travelling bags with much higher cost and change the carton to bags then they asked for documents all the valid required documents for me, my husband and my three kids were shown to the authorities but unfortunately due to bad monsoon only my husband documents on app was not opening due to technical error app was not opening but hard copy of document were shown we requested many times to the Authority of Gulf Airline Mr. Aundry Thomson to allow me and my three children to issue boarding pass and to board the flight but kept on arguing and the flight took off on the contrary they took us to Sahara police Station.

It's personal appeal to higher authorities please investigate on this matter that families should be respected the pain which my kids suffered 24 hrs. will not be tolerated being in hospitality industry such an Unethical behavior with arrogance nature is not expected as we are total loss are hard earned money loss due to his arrogant attitude where he could have resolved easily as we have borrowed money and arrange next day flight who will bear this loss happened us?.

Just to update we have reached safely to kuwait next day by God grace where we have to booked tickets at very very higher prices at different carriers where nothing online otp required my son civil id was getting expired on 15-07-22.

We have made complaints to gulf airlines online but very disappointment no response.

Awaiting for your kind cooperation & prompt response to compensation of refund amounts as justice delayed is justice denied.

Gulf Air Delayed flight

We had made our bookings in February for the 4th of July from Heathrow to bahrain 5 hour stay then going to our destination to sialkot in Pakistan. In Heathrow everything was fine we checked in 9 passengers and we faced no problem but as soon as we got to bahrain airport we went to get our boarding pass and at the desk we were told that we can not travel on the flight due to the flight being fully booked and there's no space on the flight. We faced alot of trouble at the airport I had kids as young as 9 to 10 year old who were extremely tired. We had told them it's not our fault as we had made bookings well in advance but they couldn't help us but they then offered us to travel on Emirates which would have been a midnight flight going to dubai then to sialkot we were stuck with the decision and said ok but then straight after we were told Emirates will not be able to take us as they are fully booked too. They then told us we had to spend the whole day and night and get the next day midnight flight. I am very very disappointed with the surface gulf had given us. We have no extra cloths nothing for kids to suffer for two days when it was clearly gulf airlines fault. I would like my refund and never want to travel on your airlines again for everything I had to face.

Gulf Air 10 hour delay and rude treatment by their employees

Flight GF046 from Istanbul to Bahrain on 27th of March 2022 was delayed for 9 hours and 45 minutes which Gulf Air claims via email was due to a 'technical problem as a result of a bird strike on the operating aircraft' when in reality, majority of passengers on board watched and filmed on video the pilot leaving the aircraft and pitstop in an angry mood.

As a result of this delay, I spent 28 hours travelling to my final destination Dubai (which is literally 4 hour flight from Istanbul) to find that Gulf Air had also lost my baggage.

My complaints are as follows:

1. Treatment of paying customers/ passengers by Gulf Air Airport staff at Istanbul Airport and Customer service agents via Bahrain main contact centre. Again, with phone recordings and video evidence, the staff were rude, neglectful (the main manager at Istanbul airport literally ran away from the crowd), shouting at myself and passengers, some of whom were women & children, gave out NOT enough sandwiches or drinks and then shouted and was violent (again video evidence exists between myself and other passengers on the flight).

2. No apology or accountability has been taken by this airline except for a mediocre offer of $70.

3. I had escalated my complaint and filled out the necessary form as per their instructions alongside my bank details in order to receive this $70.

4. This was now since March and I haven't heard anything back from them except the same generic email from Gulf Air Guest Support that I should contact their 'Worldwide Contact Centre' so I did! And guess what? The customer service op named Khalid laughed in my face as to why I called their main office and said he or no one there could help me and it was just a joke of a call please check recordings if you can.

5. Please find attached all evidence.

Desired outcome: I want my $70 and apology

We have been trying to get compensation for our 5 hour delay and loss of 2 days hotel since August and its ridculous. As a travel agent I am NEVER booking Gulf Air again

Gulf Air Unfair and unprofessional treatment

Yesterday 29 June 2022 I reached Bahrain Airport at 7.45 to 8.00 PM as I have a flight at 11:00 PM from Bahrain to Islamabad, I followed a long queue for getting the boarding pass but when I reached the counter they asked about Fast-track, Vaccination certificate, etc… I have shown the vaccination certificate and other documents but this is the first time I heard about the fast track because this is also my first time in Bahrain, I traveled to various countries through different airlines but I never heard about the fast track. I asked the representative what it that, and he said just go to dada bai travel agency and they will prepare for you, when I asked again to please clarify the procedure the representative along with his senior badly misbehaved with me and said do what we are saying and come again in the queue when you get the said document, I ran towards travel agency by asking from different persons about the location, finally I found the travel agency and they gave me a paper which contains only the basic information about the passenger and flight and that document was the fast track, the agency charged BHD 3 for that.

I again ran towards the counters and again stand in the queue when I again reached the counter or representative he checked the details, baggage, etc. then he moved to his senior and discussed something. After a few minutes, He came back to me and said picked up your baggage and come with me, I asked the reason but he said no need to worry, just come. Then along with him, I came to a nearby office or Gulf air counter and he gave my passport to a staff member and told me that he will give me the boarding pass. That place was already overcrowded. I wait a few minutes and then asked that representative what is the issue, he said that guy did not tell you that the plane is overcrowded and overbooked and we are not able to give you the boarding pass. I said no he has not told me anything. Then I said, please guide me that what I will do, He said just sit on the chair and wait. There were already so many passengers waiting at that place. Again after a few minutes, I asked the same question how much do I have to wait, he answered me to talk with another representative who is solving this issue, don’t worry he will help you. When I tried to discuss it with him, he said, oh are you going to Islamabad then sit and wait. I again sat there and start waiting, a person sitting with me told me that he has the same issue and he is waiting along with his family members for the last three days, by listening to him I took so much tension and again asked that officer to help me as I have no accommodation in Bahrain and unable to stay in Bahrain as I am on a tourist visa he said okay, sit and wait we will help you. The same thing happened so many times, I asked him and he said sit and wait then he told me to travel to Sialkot, Faisalabad, or Multan instead of Islamabad as we don’t have any flight, I said okay shift my flight to Faisalabad or Sialkot if there is no other option then again he told me to wait. After hours of waiting, he said those flights are also overcrowded and overbooked. He misbehaved with me that you are not the only one others are also waiting, I said it’s not my fault as I have purchased ticked directly from Gulf air office almost two or three months ago and it was fully confirmed. I have received so many reminders from gulf air that you have a flight on 29th but in the end, they did this with me.

He again said, sit and wait, I tried to discuss with other officials but no one got ready to listen to me, finally, he told me that we are shifting your flight to 1st July and we will give you the accommodation. I said okay if you have only that solution then please proceed. Then again I wait almost 30 minutes and another officer after putting my details in his system told me to collect my boarding pass from the counter. I went there and by chance I met with the same official who misbehaved with me regarding the fast track, I said now due to your fast track I missed my flight, He answered me don’t worry say “Alhamdulillah” as you were not listening to me and you seem to be non-serious for the said flight, I thanks him and picked the boarding pass and then again went to the same office.

I asked the official about accommodation he said again sit and wait, I again start waiting, after almost 30 minutes of waiting, another official came I talk with him and he gave me the accommodation and meal vouchers and at midnight I reached the hotel. I am currently in the hotel but I am thinking that how gulf airline staff treat passengers unprofessionally, I am still not sure that I will get on board on 1st July as my previous experience makes me worried. They gave me the hotel and meal but what about the 2 days and almost three nights which I am going to spend without my family due to their mistake. Hope my complaint brings some improvements for the future passengers

Gulf Air Cancelled Flight

We arrived at London Heathrow at 1800 for our 2205 flight from London to Lahore (via Bahrain) on 25.06.2022. We checked and everything was fine. At 2100 we were informed that our flight had been cancelled, however repeated calls to Gulf Air Customer Services came back with the same message that the flight was not cancelled. At 22.45 finally we were informed our flight had been rescheduled for 0930 on 26.06.2022 and to arrive at check in by 0530. We were not given any food vouchers not offered any hotel accommodation at this stage. We spent the night in Heathrow T2 (My 71 year old Grandmother, my 29 year old mother, my 16 year old brother and me a 21 year old). At 0530 we received a further update that the flight was delayed till 1730 now and to check in at 1330. We were finally offered food vouchers at this time! Despite continuing to wait in the Departure Lounge we began queuing at 1330 only to be told at 1530 that the flight was further delayed until 2205 and check in would now open at 1800. At 1800 we again began queuing and eventually at 22.05 we boarded our plane. The time now is 23.45 we are still sitting in the plane and we have NOT taken off. I have now missed my subsequent connecting flight to Lahore. I have been informed I need to contact the transfer Desk in Bahrain (when I finally reach there to sort out my Bahrain to Lahore flight). This is absolutely diabolical from Gulf Air. Please can someone help us!

Desired outcome: I want a flight from Bahrain to Lahore on any airline as soon as possibleI want compensation for all four passengers for the extensive delays faced in London Heathrow and I want an apology from Gulf Air
