Green Motion International review: Unethical, scam, dishonest, deceitful practices

We rented a car from Green Motion Rental Car Company in Edinburgh, Scotland in Sept 2024 & we are still dealing with them now July 2026. They claimed that we damaged the "Underside of the Front Bumper. There was NO visible damage to the car. Initially they stated we owed them $2,500 USD to repair the damage. Our insurance company paid that. Then Green Motion came back and stated that the damage was $4,500 USD. Our insurance company stated that the claim was closed. We had our bank send the $4,500. USD to Green Motion, but their bank rejected the money because we initially had a dispute against them. When we released the dispute to pay them, their bank rejected our payment. We were not aware of that. We thought we had paid them & they had received the payment. Green Motion waited over a year to bring to our attention that they were never paid. They added on late fees and penalties and sent this to their collections department. Since then, we have made every effort to get this straightened out, writing letters, numerous calls to our bank & still this is not taken care of. We sent money from our bank. Green Motion did not want to wait for the bank money to come through, so they charged our credit card without our authorization. We disputed that with our bank and we had to close that card. This caused all of our bill auto-payment to be changed to a differnt card - a huge hassle. Now Green Motion has $9,000 USD of our money and we can't seem to get back the extra $4,500 that they were paid from the bank. We have written letters to our bank and Green Motion, but no one seems to want to help us.
