Gold Stars did an awesome job and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The account rep was very personable and responsive during the whole process. They went above and beyond when my insurance company originally said they'd only cover a partial replacement. Gold Star came out again to gather further evidence and dealt with the insurance company to get them to agree to a complete replacement. The whole process was very easy for me. It's been 8 months since installation and it looks great.
Bait and switch! The salesman comes to the door, tells me we need a new roof, and my insurance will pay for it. He climbs up to look , comes back and says yeah, you need one. This company will take care of it if I just file the claim. When the claim is filed, I sent him all of the underwriter's findings, and asked him "Please call to tell me what this means and discuss next steps He said they will allow the claim, pay some now and pay the rest upon completion, and by the way they withheld some amount for depreciation, but "Don't worry, we're good for it." After a two week silence, I enquire "Please advise next steps.?" only to be told; "Someone from my office is calling you right now to give you a rundown." And in fact 90+ hours later, "the head of [he salesman's] production called to say, that I would have to pay the depreciation that the insurance company withheld. When I ask to salesman to live up o his promise, he says he can't help it, he didn't know the amount withheld and anyway he did a lot of work foe me in filing the claim. (not true)! This company knows all the ins and out of insurance claims and why he lied and lead me on for 10 days is fraudulent, dishonest, and deceitful.

We had the original roof on our 2003 home and had some recent severe weather in Douglas County. When Luke from âï¸ Gold Stars Roof âï¸ come to our door because they were doing some of our neighbors roof replacements I told him that we had Allstate and they were hard to get roof claims approved because that is what the last 3 contractors who rang my door bell told me... they tried to get me to switch my Homeowners insurance to another company to get my roof repaired, but NOT Luke. He informed me that 2 of my neighbors also had Allstate and he was able to work with them to get a full roof replacement. From that first interaction to the inspector coming to picking out our shingles, processing the claim, scheduling the install date, the NEW beautiful Owens Corning Oakridge Onyx Black Shingles I selected were installed in one day, it was all seamless! Luke was my guy from start to finish but I also had other friendly points of contact with made me comfortable with Gold Stars Roof. Playing that I don't have anymore crazy weather our hear to need any roof services for 30 years but if I do... my first call oilfield be to Luke and âï¸ Gold Star Roof âï¸. Thank you all again so much for the beautiful roof!

Gold Stars Roof replaced our roof, however not without issues
Gold Stars Roof replaced our roof, however not without issues.
After the new roof was installed, there are shingles that never laid flat, nails exposed, never sealed so possible insect, wind damage and damage could happen anytime the life of this replaced roof.
I've tried to work with them over the last 4 months.
I ended up hiring another roofer to fix the exposed nails out of pocket and says even though these are re-sealed, they have potential to re-expose themselves over time which could cause potential leaks in the future since the roof replacement done by Gold Stars Roof was not installed correctly.
The only thing consistent with Gold Stars Roof are the calls to collect a small balance remaining and the latest call on 4/13 says the balance is much higher than what was agreed upon.
I think they have been compensated more than enough considering the quality of this roof and want them to consider this paid in full or replace this roof with one that is installed correctly.

On 02/19, this guy named **** showed up at my place and claimed he was checking roofs in my neighborhood for storm damage
On 02/19, this guy named *** showed up at my place and claimed he was checking roofs in my neighborhood for storm damage. He mentioned that his company handles stuff with insurance companies. So, he climbed up my roof and when he came back down, he insisted that I surely had storm damage. I reached out to my insurance company and they sent an adjuster. Surprisingly, the adjuster stated that my roof had damage, but it wasn't caused by wind or a storm. I've had three other roofing companies come over, and they all said the same thing. I'm starting to think that this guy actually messed up my roof.
