On May 18, 2019, my fiancé and I received an invitation to a Seminar sponsored by Global Exchange Vacation Club. With the advisement that the seminar would only last 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Afterward, we'd be gifted a free five-day paid vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada. We were taken into a theater-like room with approximately eight other couples and asked a few interactive questions from two representatives. They proceeded with a 20-minute video of luxurious resorts in various parts of the World.

Following the video, a 20-minute slideshow listing the cost to travel to those exact luxurious locations with a regular purchase thru a travel agent compared to the price of traveling to the resort after signing up with Global Exchange Vacation Club (GEVC). The representatives spoke about people becoming owners of vacation properties and changing their lives.

Once that was over, they advised us to stay an additional Ten minutes for them to collect some information from us to receive our gifts for attending their seminar. So, we waited to collect the gift; while providing the data, they inquired more personal questions about our family size. We

advised them that we were a family of seven but also traveled with our mom. Then a representative by the name of Tracy Wale approached my fiancé and me and began telling us how much we could save on vacation by obtaining a GEVC membership. She then told us how this had benefited her and her family. She showed us a cost comparison between booking with a travel agent vs. making our reservation through GEVC. She gave us a purchase price, and we declined multiple times.

After being there for 35 minutes, possibly longer, she brought over a colleague to assist her with her sales approach. She began dropping the price of the resort club purchase and then threw in more gifts, including another complimentary trip to Vegas, Los Cabos, Mexico, with Round Trip Airfare for Two, etc. We still decline. After a while, my fiancé left to use the restroom, and while he was gone, they increased the pressure on me while I was by myself. After declining for another 20 minutes. I finally agreed to try out the package. Once I decided, Tracy and Her colleague informed me that all the promised complimentary gifts would not be available for use until after May 26, 2019.

Tracy then escorted me to a man named Dion Ramos, who would assist me with financing the membership. While in a room with Dion, Tracy filled out forms for me and read off what she called vital points I needed to know about signing up. While she did this, Dion recorded me responding to the questions she addressed. Not once was I ever advised verbally of a 7-day look

policy; they did give me a thick binder and told me that there was a copy of my signed documents on a flash drive. After that, they informed me that I had to wait 30 days for RCI Member Services to create my online booking portal before I could access the reservation site.

On May 21, 2019, I received a text message from Dion welcoming me to the club and asking if I needed help with anything. After a few days of letting the purchase decision settle, I called Dion to request the cancellation of the purchase and left him several voice messages. During my contact attempts with Dion, I was unaware that I was still under a 7-day grace period, yet Dion never replied to any of my calls. So, after 30 days of waiting on the portal install, I attempted to book a reservation, and to my dismay, I was never able to reserve anything past a single room. I soon realized that I had been lied to about the accessibility of booking a vacation for a large family. Tracy and her associate sold me a GEVC membership under false pretense to persuade me to purchase something invaluable to my large family and me.

On August 1, 2019, I tried reaching out to Dion Ramos to request a cancellation of the contract again. I advised him of my concerns, and he disregarded everything I explained. I was now out of $1,000. I then began contacting the RCI group to request a cancellation and was given the run-around and told to get in contact with GEVC. Then comes 2020 and the Covid pandemic, and everything shut down in the World for almost a year and a half.

Once things worsened, I contacted GEVC and RCI to request a cancellation and explained how these charges placed me in financial hardship. Like before, my requests were ignored and denied.

It's now September 14, 2022, and I have never been able to book one vacation for my family, yet GEVC continuously extracts a monthly fee of $164.01 from my bank account automatically. The total amount of money that GEVC has taken from me exceeds $7,500. Not once during the Pandemic did GEVC extends the courtesy of placing payments on hold due to the inability of world travel. So, again I am formally requesting the cancellation of this GEVC contract. I'm also withdrawing authorization for automatic payment to be taken directly from my bank account.

Desired outcome: I want out of the GEVC contract and to be reimbursed for the money spent on this company over the last 3 years. This company lied to me and guaranteed me specific room booking accommodations required for my family size.
