I purchased travel protection plan on 3/09/26 for trip that included Puerto Rico and cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line with destination to Europe - dates 4/12/26 through 5/08/26. Upon returning from trip on 5/11/26 I submitted a claim because my travel companion had two medical conditions one she contracted the flu and suffered a bad inflammation on her leg due to pre-existing condition and for which she takes maintenance medication. As a result we had to cancel our original flight losing the cost of plane ticket since they were purchased through Capitol One rewards program. I loss $687, airfare. I provided all documents the last document sent various time to Generali with medical information concerning travel companion’s condition as requested by Generali. Claim continues to be denied without explanation. Going over the policy claim meets covered and exclusion concerning trip interruption pre-existing condition does not apply.
Claimed loss: $95 cost of claim and $687 amount loss for non-refundable airfare.
Desired outcome: I request my claim be approved for $687 and an appropriate response.
