GEICO review: Worst insurer

I was denied coverage for my road side assistance as they could not find anyone to bring me fuel while on vacation. They said they could not find anyone with the right equipment...a gas can is hard to find, I guess. I began looking for alternative insurance and found a MUCH lower price that I have been paying with geico. It's my fault for not looking in this each year, but the cost of geico is DOUBLE the cost of what I found with Progressive. Shop around if you are with geico. And once I received the new policy and the confirmation, they won't accept the new policy date as evidenced on my paperwork as proof of insurance for a refund. CROOKS!
