I paid the $3.95 for the "Free" 2 week trial bottle of Acai Berry Detox. I printed my receipt, which showed only $3.95 as the amount deducted from my account. A short time later I noticed a deduction from my bank account in the amount of $87.13 from them, which I did NOT authorize. When I called them they stated I had to call to cancel or they would charge me for more product. I did not see this note on the website or my printed receipt anywhere. I did not receive any more product either. When I talked with my bank about it they told me they attempted to withdraw another $87.13, in addition to $40.00 three times, three days in a row but the bank declined them. I did call and get my $87.13 back. I am in the process of reporting them to the Attorney General and anyone else that can help stop them from stealing from innocent people. The product didn't do anything for me either. Do NOT order from FWM Labs in southern Florida!

He's scamming thousands of victims using all these entities.

I did what NickyMahan suggested and sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I am urging everyone to at least look into making a complaint to them. if enough of us do it, maybe they can at least shut them down so they cant do this to anyone else. Please please please at least look into it. their website is www.bbb.org.

we find the same problems that have been issued no paper work for cancellation as well as hard to contact for cancellation, the costumer service was harsh as well as no satisfaction they claimed they canceled we will put a stop order in we cant afford this payment for a product worth only $5.00 this is a total switch bait product, witch in most states is very illegal we would have canceled in 15 days if we were able to contact them, very dissatisfied with product doesn't do what is claimed

Oh! I am so angry. when I called the [protected] number, I got a lady I couldn’t even understand and then she transferred me to her supervisor. I couldn’t understand her either. all I got out of the conversation is that I am screwed and am being charged for all of this and then some. I did cancel my account on time, and am furious! I have been scammed a total of 174.26 by FWM laboratories: TWO charges of 87.13 unauthorized charges to my bank account. I am amidst undergoing a claim fraud process. However, banks can only do so much for the customer against fraud. The best bet is to get in touch with government agencies like BETER BUSINESS BUREAU and other agencies that work to shut down scamming companies like FWM.

Did your cancellation Dec 16, 2008 still within the 14 day trial period? If ever it wasn't, then it was the reason behind the charge they made on your account. But the good news is, you can still get a refund. Call [protected]. This no. is not bogus. Just a month ago, I used this no. to call off my order. As much as you don't want to do it, you will still get charges whether you like it or not. Alot of us had to close Our CCards just to stop these charges. Some people are saying a few months down the line they still see charges. They take your old information and add it on to their new CCard.

I being a sucker and not doing any research went ahead & placed an order for the free trial of ACAI BERRY DETOX (F.W.M LABORATORY). [protected] is the # listed to call customer service. I have been trying to call that # for 4 days, all i get is a busy tone. Which made me feel uncomfortable & wondered what I got myself into. (idiot) I called the bank to see if the charges went through and FWM charged me twice. one charge of $2.02 & $1.97 whiched totaled to $3.99. My bank debit has a # listed which is [protected]. You can actually speak to a LIVE rep if you push option# 3. The rep cancelled my order, said I will not get charged in the future and that my trial bottle is for me to keep. The web site stated that I had to return the bottle in 14 days not to incur future charges. The rep insured me that I will not be charged for my trial, it is compliments of FWM. I was also scammed by this company. My story is just like everyone else's so there's no need of getting into that. I got my money returned by disputing the charged through my bank. When I called to dispute I was told that many people called in with the same problem, with the same company. My money was refunded immediately. Now I am trying to figure out a way to expose this company.

Wow...I'm glad I'm not the only one that missed the "terms and conditions" when I ordered my free trial. When I saw that they had charged my credit card $87.13 I called immediately to cancel my account. It was too late. They sent another bottle and charged me again. I refused it at the post office and called them back. I called them every week for 10 weeks. They told me they had sent my request to the refunds department. When I called 3/19/09 i spoke with a supervisor and she told me it was their policy that each customer was to receive only one credit. What a scam! I have since taken the advise from I GOT MY REFUND and hope to get my second $87.13 back. Good luck to you!

In a scheme called "negative option" advertising, dozens of companies nationwide offer "free" trials of acai diet products, claiming endorsements from Oprah Winfrey, Rachael Ray and others, but then charge month after month unless the consumer cancels the order, according to the bureau.
"BBB [the Better Business Bureau] can't speak to the restorative or weight loss properties of acai-based products, but we are taking companies to task for their misleading sales and marketing practices, " bureau spokesman Steve Cox said in a statement.
"Many businesses across the country are using the same selling model for their acai products: They lure customers in with celebrity endorsements and free trial offers, and then lock them in by making it extremely difficult to cancel the automatic delivery of more acai products every month, " he said in the release.
The endorsements are also misleading, according to the bureau, and some celebrity lawyers have already gone after these online companies.
"Consumers should be aware that Oprah Winfrey is not associated with nor does she endorse any acai berry product or online solicitation of such products. Attorneys for Harpo are pursuing any companies that claim such an affiliation, " said Don Halcombe, spokesman for Harpo Productions, Winfrey's production company.
Consumers can check www.bbb.org to get a "reliability report" on particular companies before purchasing an online product.
"These companies are simply abusing general acai berry endorsements from well-known, trusted celebrities by using it as a tacit endorsement of their company and products specifically, " added the bureau's Cox.
"Consumers trust Oprah and unfortunately, if they are tricked into believing that she is putting her stamp of approval on a product then they are definitely more likely to purchase it, " he said.
In my opinion, the BBB can only give these bogus Companies a bad name, you have to file charges to get these crooks off the internet!

After reading all of these posts I don't feel so bad. I didn't cancel within the 14 days of ordering like a lot of people on here.
When I read 14 day free trial, I didn't realize the trial was so I could see what it's like to order crap on the internet. Silly me, I thought I got to try their stuff for 14 days.
They didn't charge my card for the shipping til several days after I placed the order. I got it on 3/7/09 and they charged me $127.13 on 3/15/09 for the stuff. I ordered the Acai Berry and the Life Cleanse. They got me for the full amount of the Acai Berry $87.13, but I only had $40.00 left for the Life Cleanse. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that they couldn't get the other $20.00, or so, for the Life Cleanse.
I followed the advise of a couple of people on here that actually got refunds. I disputed the charges with my bank (surprise! they had heard of this company), and filed a complaint with the Florida BBB. Then I sent emails to the 3 addresses with my complaint # at FWM Labs. We'll see.

I am appaled at the buisness you are running. The website you display your product on is far from honest. As a person who wished to purchase a product to help my body you have made it worse emotionally. I expected a product that cost 3.95 and in turn I was charged 87.13
I have two items that were billed to my account for Cologenix Bushey GBR and ACAI XL Bushey GRB both for 87.13. I understand that I did not read the portion of your buisness agreement that after 14 days you will be charged a large amount including the shipping, but let me tell you that your website if far from honest to your customers. It is full of all the positive things about your product and the benefits, yet what it fails to show is that you are trying to scam people into your "wonderful" product. If you were decent buisness people you would have your website say that after a 14day period you need to return it if you dont want to be charged 87.13.
I have called your company twice now and I want a refund. I will send the product back to you and I will be expecting my account to be reimbused for the total of 174.26. I will be expecting a reply to this.

They were suppose to charge and send me a 14 day trial sample for $3.95.
That never arrived in my mail box.
It's been five weeks since I first inquired about the trial sample. I never recieved the trial or the orginal package. Don't trust them. The FWM labortories reintered my account and withdrew $87.13 without my permission.
They comprised my credit card therefore, I contacted the credit card bank to take care of this unauthorized withdrawl. In addition to that I have spoken four times to this acai bery labortory to cancel my order and explain that I never received either order. I got no where they kept my money and I was left empty handed. I spoke with four separate women. I wish I would have viewed, cnn, do. oz and cbs news...they warned that there were companies that were scams.

Your mistake falls on the fact that you didn't cancel within the 14 day trial period and so they charged you with the real price of Acai berry products. But there's still hope. Dial [protected] and they have very accommodating operators who can help you fix your refund. Good luck.

I am having trouble stopping my order too. I told my credit card company not to honor the $87.13 charge. In addition, I called the 866 number referenced, and it said "this mailbox is full". A scam if I have ever heard one!

Got My REFUND!

Believe it or not I got my refund of $87.13 today! After reading through pages of complaints below I came across another post that also received her refund. I followed her instructions and it worked for me too! On 3/5/09 I filed a complaint with the West Palm Beach BBB http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/Home.aspx . They have numerous complaints on file for this company. On 3/6/09 I sent an email to all three addresses I got from the previous post: billing@fwmlabs.com, fwmcancellations4@gmail.com and west@firewatermail.com. In the email I told them that I had filed a report with the BBB and sent them my BBB complaint number along with my billing information (my name and adress). On 3/11/09 I received an email from the billing@fwmlabs.com email address saying that my refund has been processed and then today 03/13/09 my refund has hit my account. Now I'm probably going to cancel my account so they can't charge me again.

In addition for billing me for a product that I have cancelled well within the 14 day period, I was billed twiced on 1/20 for $89.74 each time for merchandise that I am not receiving nor care to. After repeated complaints to company about unauthorized charges, I received credit on 2/17 for $87.13. Several calls later they still prohibit you from talking to a supervisor or the credit department. Obviously this company is in the business of scamming people which is evident by the numerous complaints people have sent it.

This company has taken $87.13 PLUS out of my bank account for three days straight for their product. The website is deceptive in that the consumer is NOT made aware of any subscription at the time of receiving the "FREE TRIAL". Their call center is obviously in India so there is a language problem when calling in. They promised to process credits to my account but, in fact, processed another daily charge for $87.13. The most recent charge came from Great Britain so they tacked on International Fees.

The fact that their product was touted on 60 minutes, cnn.com, etc. makes this rip-off even worse. I will alert the networks to this fact.

AND ASIDE FROM THE FRAUDULENT PRACTICES HERE, WHICH LEAVE CONSUMERS FEELING CHEATED AND LIED TO, HERE'S THE KICKER: THIS PRODUCT IS ADVERTISED TO RELIEVE WRINKLES. WRINKLES CAN BE CAUSED BY STRESS. THEIR PRODUCT CAUSES WRINKLES BECAUSE OF THE ANGST THAT THEY PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS THROUGH.

This company is evil. The employees are trained to lie. And I will no longer ingest the "FREE TRIAL" product that I received (which has now cost me over $300) because I have no idea what's in the capsules. In addition, they are charging $40 for shipping. I will be blogging in the future in order to take this company DOWN. ALSO, DERMAPRIL is in cahoots with these criminals. They, too, will be frequent topics for me to write about.

I will alert BBBonline, the Florida Attorney General, the Kentucky Attorney General, and now that they have to brilliantly processed a charge from a company in Great Britain, they are now guilty of FEDERAL AS WELL AS INTERNATIONAL INTERNET FRAUD.

Company offered Free Trial. The Free Sample was not delivered. I then saw my bank account was charged for one bottle of Acai XL and one bottle of cologenix. Two days later the product came.
When I called to complain, the customer rep said the matter was handled and I would receive my refund in full, as per their guarenteeShortly thereafter two NEW charges for one bottle of each appeared. Two days later two more bottles came. I refused delivery and the Post Office sent them back.
I'm now being told that I "did it wrong" so they don't have to pay a refund.
How is this Not Fraud?

I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH FWM LABORATORIES, I TOLD THEM I WANTED THE 40.00 BACK THEY TOOK FROM ME AND I WASNT PLAYING, MY FIRST WORDS OF THE CONVERSATION WAS SHUT UP, DO NOT HANG UP AND LISTEN TO ME.I WAS SPEAKING TO A PERSON WHO SEEMED TO NOT SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH BUT I MADE IT A POINT SHE UNDERSTOOD ME, SUPPOSEDLY I WILL BE REFUNDED MY MONEY, WE WILL SEE, BUT LIKE I TOLD HER I WILL NOT LET THEM TAKE MONEY FROM ME, I DO NOT STEAL AND THEY ARE NOT GONNA GET BY WITH STEALING FROM ME AND THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHERS TOO, WISH ME LUCK, I WILL NOT GIVE UP, MY BLOOD IS STILL BOILING

I was able to cancil my account and get back half my money.aaaaaaai tried to get all $170.00 back but I ended up paying for the life cleanse. But at least I got some back. I also cancelled my card and have a new one on its way. Here's some NEWs, the gut at the co. told me, they count the 14 cancel days from the day you order, not the day you recieve it. So bewhere out there and red the very tiny fine lines.

not answering / can't cancel

only listening to a computer w/ no one answering the phone . Feeling that this is a scam due to research and information from a friend who signed up. we both can not get through and I don't want to be charged for what I don't have or have not ordered

Keep your worries behind. I advise you call [protected] and talk to the friendly operator on the line who'll help you resolve your issues. This phone no. works, I've tried it before. Good luck.

I too was scammed on this. They charged my credit card account within the 2 week period. When I called them and told them that I had sent it back to them and called and cancelled the product, I was told that I did not cancell in the allotted time frame, and I told them again that I had sent the package back to them, and they said that if I did not call to get a RMA # that I could not be credited. I am disputing this on my credit card right now. They charged $87.13 without my approval. Beware of these people, they are scam artists!

I TOO WAS SCAMMED BY THESE, OH THE WORDS THAT WANT TO COME OUT OF MY MOUTH, BUT I WILL BE RESPECTABLE.I FOUND OUT ONCE THEY GET YOUR CARD INFO, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR WHAT YOU ARENT RECEIVING OR EVEN WANT FROM THEM.THERE HAS TO BE A WAY OF STOPPING INHUMANE PEOPLE LIKE THIS, WE ARE OWED OUR MONEY BACK
