Furniture 123 are still at their old tricks. I ordered a nest of tables on 14 June, for delivery in two weeks. Furniture 123 took the money from my account on the 16 June. I received a phone call from them telling me that they were waiting for new stock to come in and that the goods would be delived by the later part of July. I have tried to contact them several times by phone and email without success. I have now written to them giving them seven days to either deliver the goods or return my money otherwise I will be reporting them and their actions to Trading Standards.
I would advise everyone to boycott this company.

Oh and one last thing--Stay CLEAR of review sites, they just make me mad--they prefer to keep reviews that are so obviously posted by the company-- and yours, a genuine review--can go a begging--it gets pulled. They sicken me.

The online rogue company I had bitter experience with, were Furniture247... similar to Furniture123 isn't it--look on Companies House--I think they are the same people, you can lean a lot from going on that website. When it gets too hot for these vile apologies for human beings--I prefer to call them ###--all they do is open up again and change their name--and they haven't even got the savvy to pick something far from the one they last had--and there's no policing them online--they're all thieves. How they've escaped jail I shall never know, mind you the people who Should be in jail, aren't--and the ones who really shouldn't be, are. The Judicial system, everyone knows it Stinks. All I can hope for is that their karma catches up with them--Big time.

Why doesn't this surprise me--people MUST stop buying online from these tinpot 'companies', you simply cannot trust ANY of them. And I'm afraid, Rachel, Trading Standards won't help; in effect they are just as guilty--all they will tell you is they haven't had enough complaints! I also doubt very much that the founder of Furniture123 will even answer you. Best to go to your bank and get a chargeback, don't waste time, for that will be what you will be doing. All it will do is give stress on top of stress--and all for WHAT? Nothing. I suspect Furniture123 are either Furniture 247 or others of their ilk, and there's plenty of them about. Buy from John Lewis--you can't go wrong--why go through all this? And your MP, oh dear! Sorry for sounding cynical but I have never got ANY help from them--they leave you Waiting... and then after weeks you get a pleasant letter, why bother? Same goes for councillors, waste of time and energy going to these people, they aren't really interested, just pay you lip service. Once you go down this route of hope you'll never do it again--I speak from experience.
Ok, write to the founder, send it recorded (special delivery if you don't want the post office to lose it) and give them 7 or 10 days from the date of your letter--the bank will want to see you have tried. Keep copies of ALL letters, e-mails, go into your bank and ask for the chargeback forms. Send it back with all evidence. Then hope and pray the bank will give you a chargeback; of course if you paid by credit card it will be much easier. Its the debit card that might cause you problems even though every bank should give you the chargeback--if they come back with a silly excuse such as telling you to contact the rogue company--call the Financial Ombudsman. ALL this and more--just because you trusted a company online... I guarantee it will be at least 3 months at the very least before you hear back from the Ombudsman--I know, I went through it all with Santander..
I went through all the hope--well I Knew the company were rogue so I assumed the bank would when they read my evidence--WRONG. The stress I went through, all the anger, all the time spent, all the waiting.. just NOT worth it at all--yes I learned the hard way many times unfortunately and it wasn't just online companies.. :(

I've had the same problem. I ordered a pillow in February 2012. They took the money, but the pillow did not arrive. Now it's July 2012 and I still haven't had a pillow delivered, neither has the money been refunded. I've e'mailed them about this and spoken to staff on the phone. Still no satisfactory result. I am sitting down now to write to Julian Field the founder of Furniture123 and copying in my Local Authority Trading Standards Dept and also my MP. Watch this space!

Furniture123, Furniture247.. wot difference--probably the same people, conmen all of them. They need a long jail sentence.

My advice is to ONLY buy online from a company of good repute. Stay away from ###--as most of these so called 'companies' ARE.
