Frigidaire Electric range model ffeh3054usd, sn vf04783776

I am following up my complaint about warranty which I files last Marc 2022 with reference number [protected] with regards to the smooth top PN PS12585039.

Purchased the unit last May 2021 and got delivered June 2021.

Last March of 2022 while my wife and I were cooking using the biggest burner, she heared a tick sound at the middle of the cook. After an hour or so once done cooking, I cleaned the glass top and noticed the hairline crack.

I called up Frigidaire on line and was referred to local Fresno repair company Service Plus and took pictures as well as requested. After a week the service technician came, checked and took pictures. I asked him how long does it take to know the result and said maybe a month or so or 6 months since the part replacement is on back order!? Waited for two weeks since I haven't heard from them and found out that the warranty is denied since it was reported by the technician that it cracked because we dropped something on the gas top of which I disagreed. We didn't dropped anything and the picture will show that there is no impact mark!

I called up again Frigidaire and said they can't change the decision of which I strongly disagreed since we follow the proper use of this stove according to its users manual. They offered me a 20% discount for the part which is a nice gesture but I want to do the right thing which is to warranty the part since it cracked under normal usage!

Desired outcome: Please approach ed the warranty replacement of the smooth top glass top.

Frigidaire Refrigerator/Top Freezer Serial #BA10612790

On April 28 I wrote to your corporate offices but I guess they choose to ignore my problem. The above refrigerator was new when I purchased my condo. From the 1st inspection, Aug. 2021, it was noted that ice formed on the bottom of the freezer door. After many phone calls and several house calls it was determined I needed a new freezer door. That was in Dec. 2021. To date I have received 0 satisfaction and was told that my need was low priority. I want to know when this will be repaired.

Desired outcome: Credit for a new refrigerator!!!! I'd appreciate a response!!! An apology for being considered 'low priority'!!!

Hi Dorothy.

Don't ever think you're being thought of low priority. You are not.

It is true that all manufacturers are having issues producing parts for their products; Frigidaire is no different.

Certain personal information will be needed. Call [protected]. Please let us know if there are any further issues.

Frigidaire Refrigerator from the gallery series

I moved into a brand new house in early 2019. All appliances are new and are Frigidaire Gallery Series. Before I even moved in, the temperature registered high with a warning light for the freezer. The builder had to fight with Frigidaire to replace this obviously bad unit. Within the year, the refrigerator started acting up and was also not keeping the temperature. I also purchased an extended warranty offered through Frigidaire. It took weeks to get a service person out here and he was actually not very helpful. I had to get another person to come out. And basically the compressor was bad because the other parts of the refrigerator that were not working damaged the compressor. Frigidaire would not replace the unit but instead ordered all new parts for the fridge. Then I had to wait several more weeks for a service person that was qualified to basically rebuild the refrigerator. It’s not even a year and the refrigerator is not keeping the temperature again. I called my own repair person because I just could not bear to deal with Frigidaire again. That person replaced the board as that was the only thing left to replace. It’s been a week and refrigerator is acting up again. The units were lemons to begin with and both should have been replaced. Now I’m sure the excuse will be-…the supply chain. Even if the company would agree to give me a new unit.

Desired outcome: Would like a call from someone with some authority to settle this ongoing problem

Hi Ms. Rechthand.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your frustrations. It would sure be nice if problems didn't exist with the multitudes of items we own. Unfortunately, that just isn't the case. It doesn't matter the brand, breakdowns can occur. And you're absolutely right, in the middle of it all, shortages exist for both products and parts thereof.

It's somewhat ironic that your issue deals with a freezer. This is an area Frigidaire is extremely strong in. They've won multitude of awards.

With the number and frequency of issues you've had, I'd suggest confirming that there isn't a problem with where the unit has been placed. Make sure it's in a climate controlled environment and has sufficient room to breath. This could very likely be the reason of your problems.

Call [protected] and Frigidaire will be happy to assist.

Frigidaire broken ice maker

To whom it may concern, On 11-17-21 I had purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Spencer's appliances in Phoenix AZ. Approximately 4-29-22 Frigidaire scheduled an appointment through A&I appliance repair to come and look at my refrigerator because the ice maker quit working. After evaluating the problem the technician advised it would need a new motor. Again this refrigerator is only 5 months old. Approximately 5-2-22 I spoke with A&I, they advised that Frigidaire had told them the part was on back order and didn't know when it would be in stock. A&I advised me to notify Frigidaire myself that sometimes if the customer notifies them they will fix the problem quicker. On 5-3-22 I notified Frigidaire/Electrolux they proceeded to tell me that the part was in their warehouse and, that it was to ship 5-6-22. I never received a confirmation that it had been shipped to me, so on 5-9-22 I notified Frigidaire/Electrolux once again, they advised me that the part was on back order, needless to say I was furious and tired of getting the run around. I advised the representative I wanted to speak to a supervisor, 20 minutes later the same representative came back on the phone and advised me that her supervisor said she didn't know why I was told that, because the part I need was on back order, and that I would receive it once it's in stock but couldn't tell me when. She also proceeded to tell me that I needed to call the appliance store of where I had purchased the refrigerator. I notified Spencer's spoke to a gentleman, he proceeded to tell me that he didn't know why Frigidaire would advise me to call them because all they do is sell their products they have nothing to do with fixing broken parts. In the meantime I'm purchasing my own ice knowing that I will not be refunded for it. Frigidaire needs to fix this problem before they tell me next that they won't pay the repairs because my 1 year warranty has expired. I thought companies were suppose to please their customers instead of trying to blow them off with excuses. This is why companies go out of business.

Sue Howe

Desired outcome: Want my ice maker fixed and not months down the road.

Hi Ms. Howe.

I'm extremely sorry to hear of your frustration. Unfortunately most manufacturers are dealing with part shortages since the beginning of Covid.

Fortunately you're protected by Frigidaire's one year limited warranty. You'll have the part installed the moment the part becomes available.

Frigidaire 18.3 cu ft refrigerator model FFHT1835VW0

This unit was purchased from Lowe's and installed on 09/07/2020. The serial number is BA03307775. On 04/29/22, the unit was serviced by a Frigidaire authorized company to determine the reason for no cooling. The conclusion was that the compressor had failed and the cost to repair would be about $1,000. Frigidaire issued an authorization to cover the cost of the parts (P [protected]) which seemed reasonable at first. However, the labor cost was still going to be at least $600! This eliminated repair as an option since a new refrigerator with a new warranty would only be a bit more money. Frigidaire would not help the labor cost. I am very discouraged that we were not provided with additional assistance. Although the 1-year warranty had expired, a consumer should not have to deal with a failed compressor on a 19 month old refrigerator. We have incurred a service call charge, the loss frozen food worth about $200, and the expense of a new appliance. My case number is [protected]

Desired outcome: We would like to receive the wholesale cash value of the compressor parts which were to be covered if the unit was repaired as well as $200 for the loss of our food.

Hi Mr. Carver.

I'm extremely sorry to hear of your recent frustration and would like to assist.

The model of fridge you're speaking of does come with a one year limited warranty. This is common on this level of fridge throughout the market. Thankfully, many retailers offer additional warranty coverage for those who do not wish to accept the additional risk.

Contact the store you purchased the unit from. You may find the cost of servicing your fridge is completely covered.

Please let us know if there are any further issues.

Frigidaire Frigidaire Gallery side by side refrigerator

Purchased February 2019 at Lowes, Charlottesville, VA. March 2022 started to fall apart. First the temperature thermostat went out and then May 2022 the inverter board died. The problem is that in all of Charlottesville, VA, no one works on Frigidaires. They will help us get the part but will not install it. We called a total of 16 applicance places including Lowes where we purchased it. They referred us to someone but they also said they work on everything but Frigidaire. Make sure you have someone in your area before purchasing or have someone who is a great handyman. My husband was able to purchase the thermostat on line and fix it through You Tube. We are now waiting for the inverter board (if you can find it) to arrive and hopefully he will be able to replace it with the help of You Tube again. The part new runs anywhere from $275 to $400. The first one we ordered was not what was pictured on website. We are hoping this next one is correct. Feel like we are camping with coolers all over the kitchen!

Desired outcome: My husband can replace the inverter board or we are screwed and have to buy another refrigerator.

Frigidaire Frigidaire table top ice maker

Model EFIC117-SS-13 SN; A2008340650001531. Bought the ice maker July 2, 2021. I used it 3 months last year before cleaning and putting maker up. Took machine out 5/5/2022 to make ice and it kept stopping and saying it needed water. The well is full. I cleaned and reset machine and it spit out one round of ice and quit. Is there anyway I can have something done with this ice maker seeing I only got 3 months of use out of it. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Desired outcome: I would like an ice machine that works.

Frigidaire Side by side refrigerator

I had the refrigerator for and couple weeks and it started making a loud noise. They came out 3-4 times to fix it and said it was the ice maker. There ended up being an issue with the fridge getting condensation in freezer so they said it needed replaced. At this point the tech had fixed my ice maker it was working for at least a month without any noise or problem. They sent out the new fridge not knowing they had to take out the ice maker till they were here. I was told by now this model has a defective ice maker. So they took my fridge with the working ice maker and left me one without an ice maker. I can’t ever speak to a supervisor or anyone for that matter to get this resolved. They also told me they don’t know how long it will be before I get my ice maker.

Desired outcome: I would like the company to reimburse me the cost of this fridge and take it out of my house so I can purchase one that works and has better service.

Hi Deb.

I'd like to assist where I can.

This is exactly why addressing the problem directly is, in many cases, a better strategy than trying to arbitrarily replacement.

With that said, it sounds as if you have a new side by side. Can you supply a little extra information? What was the retailer you purchased it through; on what date and what was the actual model?

Hi Lucille.

I'd like to assist.

Depending on the date of purchase, retailers reserve the right to not exchange the merchandise and arrange to have the unit serviced. It sounds as if that is what is happening here. The model you own is a great model; it's part of Frigidaire's nicer Gallery line of merchandise and something you should be proud to own.

As long as the damage wasn't caused through the misuse of the unit, you shouldn't have any difficulty in contacting customer service directly. Their number is [protected].

Please let us know if that doesn't rectify the problem.

Frigidaire Water filter replacement part FPPWFUO for refrigerator model FRSC2333ASO1

On 3/17/2022, I ordered 2 replacement filters on line from Frigidaire. Received confirmation of order [protected] with status In Progress. Frigidaire took the $102.44 from my credit card account on 3/18 and I have not heard from them again.

I have called many times only to be told "Not our department or Not our order number ". Will not transfer my call to another department. I have mailed letters to NC office as well.

At this point I just want my money returned. This company is not on the up and up. They are thieves.

Frigidaire Model# ffss2615ts5 serial# 4a02422470

I purchase the above side by side freezer and refrigerator in july 2020 the beginning of the covid pandemic. Like most appliances it came with a 1-year manufactures warranty. First it started with my freezer door not closing, then my freezer stopped getting cold and every time I called in to get service I was on hold for over an hour (due to staff shortages due to covid) if and when the phone didn't disconnect I would get an appointment but no one would ever show up on several occasions and when I would call back I was informed that the appointment was cancelled and had to go through the process of scheduling again. Finally got a technician out to the house and they had to order a part which was once again a 3-month run around to get that cleared up. Fast forward to april 21, 2022 I am no longer in warranty and not only is my freezer not working still I have a crack in the back or the refrigerator and rust all over my doors of a 1 year 9 month old appliance and of course frigidaire has informed me that I am no longer under warranty they cannot replace/repair my rusted doors but as a courtesy they will pay for the compressor that needs to be replace ($400 est per ervice tech) but I have to pay the labor expense on my own $468.00 and if I want to purchase new door it would cost appx $700 but they can give a 20% discount. After all these costs I can by a brand-new refrigerator. There is no way I shouldhave this many issues with a product that is less than 2 years old.

Desired outcome: Replace the refrigerator with a new one.

Hi 619.

I'd be happy to assist.

What's the design flaw(s) you're referring to? I reviewed specific documents and have not found anything addressing such issues. But I'd sure be willing to address the problem if we're can document a problem.

Even though your manufacturer's warranty may have elapsed, many retailers offer additional service protection. Contact the retailer you made the purchase through; they'll likely be able to assist as well.

Hi Ms. Graham.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustration.

Frigidaire really does make a quality appliance but one of of many are bound to have issues before one may plan. One issue that may be giving problems is the fridge not setting correctly. The fridge should be perfectly level left to right but tip back slightly from front to back. This ensures the fridge door sealing correctly when closed. The result is inconsistent temperatures and premature damage to the compressor.

Before doing anything further, contact the retailer you purchased the fridge through. Many offer additional warranty coverage that would cover such issues.

Frigidaire Frigidaire serial #4A13021708 - Fire Damage

On 4.15.22 I woke up at around 4 am to a smell of burning plastic, I went out to my kitchen and found that as I got closer to the refrigerator and opened it the smell was going from inside it. I woke up my husband to let him know, and he immediately shut the breaker to off. I contacted Frigidaire on 4/15/22 only to be advised they were closed due to Good Friday. Mind you this was Easter weekend I had food purchased for Easter dinner on Sunday inside, unfortunately due to the burnt smell from fire we had to throw all products inside the refrigerator out being contaminated from the burnt plastic smell. All of the items in our freezer had to be moved to a cooler since we do not have another refrigerator, and most items had to be thrown away because Customer Service from Frigidaire could not get someone out until 4/19/22. Being Easter Sunday and family dinner planned our only option was to go out for dinner. Customer service has been the worst experience I have ever encountered, on hold for over an hour with no help at all. Appliance repair person came out and advised he would recommend due to safety hazard unit be replaced. When called Frigidaire Customer Service they advise they would only replace parts, This is totally unacceptable, I do not want parts replaced due to a safety hazard, not only the unit smells like a fire! It has been 6 days and I can't get a person to acknowledge this unit needs to be replaced. I have contact the Fire Marshall for Palm Beach County FL who agrees unit is not safe, our next step is to contact an attorney as well as the local new channel to advise how this is being handled by your corporation. This in totally unacceptable, and the customer service is horrible, not being able to get a person from corporate to help is beyond unbelievable, I am currently living out of a cooler having to buy ice every day to keep what food we have cold. Please contact me asap! Victoria [protected]@ 561.632.6335

Also, Customer service advised my inconvenience, and my food reimbursement will not be covered. This is really horrible and will make sure to post to all social media outlets if this is not rectified properly by Frigidaire immediately, Victoria Ramsay Thompson

Desired outcome: This is the second unit I purchased - 1st unit ice maker was not working when installed, I want a replacement unit, not parts replaced, this is a safety hazard at this time.

Frigidaire Frigidaire Refrigerator/Freezer Model FFTR1821TW

Don't know where to begin to be honest. Don't know what is worse - the Frigidaire appliance itself or Electrolux/Frigidaire Customer Service. Actually, a toss-up; equally bad. Bought a new refrigerator/freezer. Shortly after purchase, noticed items in freezer compartment were thawing. Thought, maybe have too much in freezer; so, cut down how much was inside. Didn't help. Put two freezer thermometers in freezer compartment. Tried them both out on our other appliance first to ensure they worked properly. No problem. When placed them in the freezer compartment of our new Frigidaire, realized what the problem was. The temperature in the freezer compartment swings wildly. Since the unit is less than 3 months old, reached out to Frigidaire. Appointment scheduled. Technician assigned. Even received confirmation email. Given day, date, and time. No show. Not happy to burn 1/2 a day waiting for no one. Called. Frigidaire blamed it on local 3-party contractor. Rescheduled. Spoke with supervisor. Ensured would send out a Senior Tech for first appointment in morning the following week. Again, appointment scheduled. Technician assigned. Even received confirmation email. Given day, date, and time. Morning came and went. Called. While on phone with Frigidaire, service technician shows up - around 11:00AM. Spends about an hour or more diagnosing issue. When service technician attempts to order part, is told appointment has been cancelled. Wait, What!? Assures me not a problem. Will have supervisor retrieve his notes and will come back out next week to new temperature controller. Call. Told new appointment will need to be scheduled. Day before/day of scheduled appointment, a different service technician calls. Says he has been assigned the case. When comes out, he asks what the issue is. Really!? Tries to up-sell me on protection plan. Ask for him to check to make sure nothing is wrong creating the controller to short. Does not. Still have same problem. Freezer temperature swings from -20 to +32 F. Call. Request Senior Technician who came out initially. Again, request first appointment. Senior Technician arrives. Again, around 11:00AM. Calls Frigidaire. Frigidaire does not seem interested in issue. Says is because unit is in the garage. Says temperature is too cold in garage - though outside temperature is 65 F. Recommends a garage heater be installed. So, another visit is scheduled. Request same Senior Tech. And, to test the hypothesis, move unit from garage into house. Temperature continues to swing wildly even in house. So much for thought that issue was due to unit being in garage. Yet another technician comes out to install garage heater. Weeks have turned into months. Unit is now in the house. Despite having having in house and now with new temperature controller and also a garage heater, temperature continues to not be stable. In the meantime, have reached out to Frigidaire MANY, MANY, times. Have been hung up on. Transferred to survey queues when ask to speak to supervisors. Email corporate leadership with both Electrolux/Frigidaire and the 3rd-party service technicians. Given dedicated person to serve as liaison. Inform them issue still persists. Crickets. It is really like they hope I will go away. Basically, we have an 18 cubic foot piece of furniture I am reluctant to use because don't want to risk food spoilage due to unresolved temperature instability issue. Look at other reviews. See a lot that describe similar, if not identical, issues. Even try posting a review. Rejected even though comply with all their requirements.

Desired outcome: Given up trying to get this lemon fixed. Electrolux/Frigidaire needs to stand by their product. They are not. Outcome, a refund and compensation for our time would be a good start.

Hi.

I would absolutely like to assist but, unfortunately, I'm not sure who I'm speaking with.

I can give you some insight that may be of some help.

Fridges being used in a garage need to be "garage ready." What doeqs this mean? Compressors and thermostats have a difficult time acclimating to the hot temperatures of summer and the extra cold of winter — this only becomes the case when a fridge is left in a non climate controlled area like a garage. It is possible, although not probable, that a fridge or freezer can become permanently damaged because of this.

Some Frigidaire fridges can be made garage ready by purchasing a separate kit to be installed.

In many cases, placing a non garage ready fridge in the garage will void any warranty. That's possible what you are dealing with here.

If you're to replace this fridge, make sure to purchase one that is garage ready and you should be fine. Frigidaire makes a wonderful product, just spend the little extra for the area you plan to use it in.

Since day one this range has had a toxic smell. Like epoxy or plastic.

We bought it right before pandemic and then could not get service.

When we try to use oven it make my wife and I have headache and feel nausea.

Its far worse than words can describe. We even out of desperation went on twitter and posted on fridgidaires page. Of course they yesed us and said they would be happy to help use. Then other people seeing the post commented yes they just bought that model and are getting sick with the oder. Magicly all posting was deleted. Im so angry I bought all new appliances from them and get no service or help.

Desired outcome: I want a replacement ,just give me a oven that wont make us sick.

Hi Brian.

There's no reason why a range should be producing such fumes. That's a Gallery series and very well built.

Of course the biggest concern is that after using it, something is happening with the gas connection and causing the problem.

Even though the manufacturer's warranty may have elapsed, contact the retailer you purchased it through. Many offer additional service packages that may help in this case. Aside from that, I'd still contact any authorized Frigidaire service center. It's worth getting out checked out right away.

reading more , The insulation has a bonding agent and is defective, it will never set properly .It usually will set with just 1 or 2 uses. This will not even after 20.Its like mixing epoxy wrong so it never will cure.I do have an extended warranty. All the burners did not work and that was fixed. Unfortunately the insulation is not a fixable item. Electrolux is ignoring me after 2 calls.

If you've done your research and know it's absolutely nothing to do with the gas, that relieves you from much of the urgency of resolving the issue.

I can tell you this isn't a common issue. Thankfully, that extended warranty may be of assistance. Hopefully you did as much research about the retailer and their service packages. The retailer doesn't exist to just provide you with the merchandise but to also assist when issues like this might arise. I'm assuming the extended warranty is directly through them.

Your extended warranty should have come with documentation which outlines what is and is not covered. After studying it, I'd contact the retailer. They'll likely want to have a service provider confirm the problem and declare it as something that is not serviceable. They can then work with you to get the unit exchanged.

Assuming you want everything to match within your kitchen, I wouldn't worry about exchanging it with the same model. Again, this is not a common problem and isn't something you're likely to see -- or in your case, smell -- again.

I would say the gallery series of yesterday years are gone.I owned 2 properties in the past 20 years and always bought Gallery series.Never had any problems.

With this latest property I bought a Dishwasher, refrigerator ,and oven.Every appliance had major problems right away on delivery.fridge was swapped out , dishwasher was swapped out . The company will go out of business I think If things don't change

Glad to hear back from you. I'm sure, by now, you're well on a way to successful resolution.

I'm very aware of the entire Gallery line of products. They're designed and built with decent quality. It would seem as if you just ran into a bad batch. It's why I suggested that there wouldn't be anything wrong with replacing it with the same product line.

Yeah sure, follow the advice of Mr. Helpful. When a company has shown that it has given up quality for profits, and every appliance you buy from them proves defective, just keep going out and buying more products from them. Lookup the definition of insanity. More than that look up the definition of a dishonest shill, and you'll see Mr. Helpful, even his name is a joke.

Frigidaire Dishwasher

I purchased a dishwasher on January 9, 202, the serial number is KH94321081 and model number is FGID2479SF5A. In late February of 2022, the dishwasher stopped working. There were numerous times that I called customer service but nobody seemed to want to help me. I called March 4th, 47 minutes on the phone, the customer service rep gave me the number for RGC Appliance and told me that I can call them to come and repair the dishwasher, however RGC Appliance did not receive a work order and they told me to call Frigidaire back. I called Frigidaire back on March 7, 25 minutes on the phone, the customer service rep told me that the warranty had expire and gave me another number of a company to call to come and fix my dishwasher but I would have to pay. Both this calls were directed to a contact center in the Philippines. On March 7th, I called Frigidaire again, I was trying to escalate my complaint, 1 hour and 34 minutes on the phone, I spoke to someone in USA, she was the most helpful but she said that because the warranty has expired, they would only give me a discount on any replacement parts. On March 8, 2022, I sent an email to customer service explaining my situation, however I have not yet received a response. I called on March 29, 7 minutes on the phone, the customer service rep said that he was going to call me back that day, as expected he did not. His English was very poor, he couldn't or wouldn't even spell his name for me. The thing is, I did not only purchase the dishwasher, I also purchased a refrigerator, a stove and a over the counter microwave. I could have purchased any other make but chose Frigidaire because I had purchased appliances from them previously that had lasted me over 15 years and I believed that they were a good company.

Desired outcome: For Frigidaire to pay for repairs to dishwasher

Hi Ms Griffith-Nelson.

I read about your concerns and would like to assist.

Your dishwasher is actually a really good quality product. It's incorrect to assume that, because your particular unit started to have issues before you expected that the unit is of poor quality. It is not. There are thousands of these in the market that are being used without issue. Unfortunately, your unit is not one of them and we need to find out why.

The first thing I would suggest in contacting the retailer you've purchased the unit through. Many retailers offer additional warranty and service programs that would cover the entire cost.

If you need to cover some of the cost, between labor and discounted parts, that still more than fair. Get the service center scheduled as soon as possible, as there has been issues with part availability since the beginning of CoVid.

Frigidaire Refrigerator needed new compressor after only 18 months

We purchased a Frigidaire side-by-side Model JSI23 on 8/28/2020 from Lowe's Home Center, 1801 Fordham Boulevard, Chapel Hill, NC. The unit was delivered and installed on 9/11/2020. Just 18 months later, on 3/7/2022, the warning buzzer and temperature indicators let us know that the unit was not functioning properly. A serviceman identified the problem as the compressor, which would need to be replaced - at a cost of 70% of the original cost of the refrigerator. We would, in addition, need to purchase a warranty at $99 per year because we could not depend on the reliability of the appliance. Such early failure is unacceptable when the expected average life of a new unit, though not what it once was, is still at minimum 10 years. At the very least, we ought to be reimbursed for the three-year warranty, and even with that I'm not sure we will have the confidence to buy or recommend Frigidaire in the future.

Desired outcome: Detailed above, with some assurance that we won't run into the same issue again.

Hi cteby.

I'm glad to make your acquaintance although wish it wasn't under such circumstances.

There was a time when refrigerators would last for twenty to thirty years. This was before the days of energy regulation and compressors were considerably larger than they are today. The trade off of the fridge lasting longer was that of consuming a larger amount of energy. With that energy costing more today then it ever has, that's not a bad thing.

Any refrigerator can go out sooner than one might expect; brand and/or model aside. You can help the fridge's longevity by following a couple of basic rules: first, give your fridge enough breathing room. It doesn't need to be a lot but allow at least a half an inch around the fridge's cabinet. Along that same idea, don't press the fridge up directly against a wall. Keep an inch free on the backside so it can continue to get air around the compressor area. Finally, pull your fridge out on occasion to clean around the compressor. You'll need to remove the panel and then vacuum the compressor area. Again, you're trying to remove some of the workload off of what the compressor is doing. Most families should do this at least annually but more frequently wouldn't hurt.

Check with the retailer you've purchased the fridge through. Many offer additional warranty packages that would fully cover the cost of service.

Let us know if we can be of further help.

Frigidaire Frigidaire range model #lfef3054tfk

On 10/27/2020 I bought the range listed above and a 3 year warranty from Lowe’s on Sept 2021 the range was not working right the lights on the back flashes the stove would not work I unplugged the stove plugged it back in the next day turned oven on it started smoking. I call Frigidaire the following week they had Capital appliance come and check it out they put a new panel on it and said it was fix it done the same thing was still under warranty I called Frigidaire again they sent capital appliances out again was told nothing was wrong with it. I used the stove that night and the lights started blinking and the stove went blank by this time Frigidaire would not help me I had to go thru Lowe’s warranty. I had made six calls to them the last call they scheduled At home company to come out the no showed that was 11/22/21 called back Capital appliance came out they said I would have to time how long it takes the stove to act out and go through the warranty to schedule another appointment and when they arrive the stove needs to be acting up. I was defeated at that point. I went thru thanksgiving and Christmas without a stove I sent a letter on 2/7/22 to Frigidaire have not got a reply. So my range is setting in the back room not working. I paid 878.00 for the range and warranty. I don’t know what else to do can you help me or give me direction? I tried to upload a video it kept saying loading error

Desired outcome: I would like a new stove or a refund.

Hi Ms Bradshaw.

Frustrating, without question. Intermittent problems are always the most difficult to repair. Of course the problem is not necessarily what to do to fix the problem — albeit that's part of it — it's knowing it's fixed once the repair is applied.

Your explanation of what has occurred leaves questions. When you suggest it's in a backroom not working, it makes it sound as if the problem is no longer intermittent. If this is the case, GREAT! That's the biggest part of the problem. If this isn't the case and it's working most of the time, leaving it setting is not helping resolve the problem.

Although the problem may be the range, it's also possible that there's something wrong with the power outlet it's on. In this case, the simplest way to proceed, I believe, is to proactively use the range. Don't just let it set. The more you use it, the more likely it is to show the problem. When it does, use your phone to record the incident. The more you use it, the more you're likely to determine what causes the problem. Of course, don't use it in such a way to leave it on its own. It won't do any good if you're not around when the issue happens and I wouldn't want to leave it unattended anyway.

Let us know if that doesn't help resolve the problem.

Hi Mr Coney.

I'd like to assist if I can.

You've had this fridge for seven or eight years — is this correct? Frigidaire makes a fantastic refrigerator; of course, that's what their name is based upon. Is it your belief that the fridge still under some form of warranty? What exactly is it not doing that it should?
