It's difficult to find reliable baseball retailers in Europe, but Forelle stands out with its impressive online selection. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the company's customer service. Their customer service leaves much to be desired as they do not prioritize the needs of their customers. They exhibited rudeness and an unwillingness to answer questions, and instead insisted on leaving me dissatisfied without trying to correct their mistake.

I made a purchase of a first base glove for my 10-year-old son who happens to be left-handed. I ordered a glove marked "LH" because in the US, LH gloves are for left-handed people. However, when the glove arrived, I noticed that it was for a right-handed person. The glove fit on my son's left hand.

Upon trying to rectify the issue, I was informed by the customer service that I would have to pay shipping fees of 40 euros to get a replacement glove. This is because they claimed that it was my mistake, and I had ordered the wrong product. They were unsympathetic to my predicament and insisted that I bear the cost of their mix-up. When I inquired about what LH meant, they replied that LH gloves were meant for catching with the right hand and throwing with the left hand, completely misleading me. Moreover, the customer service representative was very rude and unsympathetic, refusing to make things right.

It's disappointing that a company with such a vast selection of products cannot admit when they are wrong. They have an unclear policy which causes confusion amongst their customers. Customers expect to be treated with respect, honesty, and with an element of empathy when errors occur. In most instances, companies would readily admit their mistakes and take responsibility for their actions. However, this did not prove true in my case. Forelle, who has the monopoly for online baseball equipment sales in Europe, appears to feel that it doesn't need to offer such a courtesy.

So, in conclusion, please beware that Forelle may not always provide good customer service if there is an issue with your order. I am now stuck with a useless right-handed glove which is a waste of my hard-earned money. I regret ever doing business with Forelle, and I will discourage any of my friends and family from making the same mistake.
