I am writing to escalate my previous complaint regarding the rebooking of my flight using a Fiji Airways travel credit and the unreasonable pricing applied.

After reviewing Fiji Airways’ published travel credit and fare conditions, I can find no policy or clause stating that bookings made with a travel credit are subject to higher base fares than standard publicly available fares. The policy only refers to paying any applicable fare difference and taxes where relevant.

In my case:

* The publicly available online fare for the same flight and same date is approximately USD 412.
* I hold a valid travel credit of USD 422.20.
* Despite this, I was advised by your agent that I must pay an additional USD 808 after applying the credit, which results in a total cost far exceeding the advertised fare.

This cannot reasonably be described as a “fare difference.” It represents a completely different and inflated pricing outcome, with no written policy justification or transparent explanation provided to me as a customer.

If Fiji Airways applies different fare rules, fare classes, or pricing conditions when a travel credit is used, this should be clearly disclosed in writing at the time the credit is issued and before customers attempt to rebook. Penalising customers financially for using a credit—without any published policy—is misleading and unfair.

I respectfully request:

1. A written explanation referencing the specific policy clause that allows this pricing practice, or
2. A review and correction of my booking price to align with the publicly available fare, with my travel credit applied appropriately.

If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, I will consider escalating it further through formal consumer complaint channels, as this issue raises serious concerns regarding transparency and fair treatment of customers.
