Four of us made a down payment of $500 per person for a river cruise on the snake river scheduled to leave in early october of this year with the american queen steamboat company. Unfortunately one of us, my friend, developed thyroid cancer and in april had her thyroid removed. She is now waiting for an iodine treatment. She will not be permitted to be around any other person for at least a week after her treatment. She has not been scheduled for her treatment as of this date. Our final payment was due on may 18th, not knowing when she'd have her treatment, we did not make our final payment and cancelled our reservation. Her physician stated "at this point there is an increased risk to her health by going on a cruise" in the letter that was sent to allianz.
Allianz denied our claim because she was advised not to travel because of the coronavirus, even though the reason is really due to her cancer and cancer treatment.
Your company was extremely helpful in the past when I had an issue with viking. After numerous calls on my part I was getting no where and once your company got involved a resolution was made in a very timely manner. We are hoping you can help us with this current situaton.

Claim submitted on 18/11/2019 then again on 06/12/2019, I am advised to retrun my phone for repair (70% chance of repair) or replacement. I am advided that It is not possible to repair and offered a gold phone, which I reject. I am then told that I may have a Xiaomi or wait 30 days for a Grey one such as I purchased. I advise that 30 days is unreasonable and that I could have one from UK in a matter of afew days, or a week or so from the original Chonese Store "Godphone", I even offer t0o purchase the replacement myself and send them the invoice, they reject this and do nothing until I ask for progress on 2nd January only to be told contradictory information,

I have waited enough time and I am totally dissatisfied with the Allianz warranty process, I therefore require a full refund for my purchase, Allianz have the broken mobile phone. Sp please arrange a full refund for the purchase as soon as possible.

My wife and I had the trip on Easter. We bought insurance from the website www.allianztravelinsurance.com. But unfortunately we didn’t finish our trip and returned home earlier. After several days, I looked at the insurance and found out that they wouldn’t return money, because their policy was really strange and it was mentioned that no refund would be provided because of personal problems. I placed the complaint form on the website, but it was unsuccessful. I don’t recommend this website and post your comments.
Purchased airline cancellation insurance from these guys. When my wife was hospitalized for a mental heath issued we filed a claim along with a doctor's letter. Allianz Global Assistance denied our claim stating there was a clause in the policy excluding mental health issues. Allianz Global Assistance is a rippoff!
I purchased travel insurance offered by Hot Wire through Allianz Travel Insurance and today woke up with a sever head cold. Upon calling Allianz they informed me that I would have to provide a doctor's note to seek reimbursement for my hotel which I booked through Hot Wire.
The cost of the room was $95 and the cost of my time and the doctor will most probably exceed the cost of the room.
After explaining this to me the lady simply apologized and offered to send me the claim info if desired.
After this experience I would highly recommend using a service where you know the hotel / resort up front and get a refundable reservation. Hot Wire's business model seems fundamentally flawed and I am going to recommend not useing Hot Wire to my friends, aquaintances and clients in the future.
Purchased this insurance through Orbitz. My flight was canceled and all flights to IAD were grounded for 9 hours. They rescheduled flight was two days later and would never actually allow me to reach my destination. I filed a claim with Allianz and immediatley spoke to the first of several rude and unhelpful staff members. They explained in order to get a refund the flights would have to be canceled for 24 hours due to natural disasters etc. I never heard back regarding my claim, and a week later (today) I called only to speak to more nasty reps to tell me my claim had been denied because there was no major storm, tsunami, black hole and so on. If you do decide to book through Orbitz or ever encounter this worthless company, STEER CLEAR! They are a classic example of a insurance scam and care not for their customers.
