Everything But The House review: Shipping cost misinformation on their website

I have won several bids on this site and with items varying in weight range, I deduced (based on their website info - “We calculate our shipping costs based on FedEx and the size and weight of our items”) these items would vary significantly in shipping cost. One item I won was a 461g leather bag and that cost came out to about $34. The latest item I won was a pair of gold earring weighing 1.7g. These earrings cost about $32 to ship. I made an enquiry on the rationale behind this as it makes no sense if their shipping is based on fedex “size and weight” the response the horrendous woman gave me was… they package their items special. I have since cancelled my account. When it comes to misinformation to consumers while they profit off shipping costs and hide behind “fedex” and “special packing”. See attached pictures for said “special packaging”. This place is rapidly losing credibility due to these types of shady business practises.
