Don't trust him or buy pigeons from Europigeons, it's a very bad company.. he buy pigeons
and never pay, or sells pigeons but never delivers.. Many people have the same problems
like you do..

    Well I can hardly believe that. I am doing business with this guys for a number of year without any problem. In fact they sold me great birds and delivered a great service. I also thing this is no way of solving a business related problem. I am sure there is something to say for both sides.

    For me the same. I buy birds from Jan every year. One of the most respected fanciers in Holland. His long-distance birds are with the best of the world. I bought many in past and I will for sure in the future. I am not impressed by one frustrated guy who thinks this is the way to get a business down. Yes, maybe something happened but these guys deserve much better. Solve the case with Jan, I am sure he is willing to.

    I am thrilled that the above gentlemen received their birds. That, however, does not change the fact that myself and several others have not received ours or a refund. I have invited each of the above posters to basically "put up or shut up". I emailed Jan again today in an attempt to resolve this issue and he has not responded. If he is as honest as these gentlemen say, then I will receive my refund soon, if not then that says it all. Buyer Beware!

    Gee the AU has no record of a Pete Vanderbilt and neither does the GHC. Another satisfied "ghost" customer? Sounds more like another scam artist associated with Europigeons.

    I really don't understand all this. Just talk with Jan he is one of the best guys in our wonderful sport. I am sure that this case has two sides? I think it's very low to sort a problem this way. At least you guys should use your own name instead of AKBIRD?

    I have tried to reason with Jan. All I ever wanted was the birds or my money back. All I ever got from him was lies and false promises. I will continue to post about him to prevent anyone else getting cheated by him as myself and others have been. Those that want to stand up for him, I challenge you to "put your money where your mouth is". If you think he is so honest and trustworthy, you send me a refund and then see if Jan will reimburse you. I doubt there will be any takers on that!

    I spoke to Jan about this, he is well aware of the problem with you. He told me the shipment took to long but the reason why he did not refund you is that you decided to go viral on him after here was a little delay. All other (51) birds from 14 fanciers in the US are in their loft now for months only you decided to make it your goal in life to destroy Jan's business. I think it's low and tell us more about you then about Jan or Europigeons. Plus you still did not mention your name in this matter, so I will do that for you if you don't do it yourself. High trees catch a lot of wind Jan is a high tree with more happy than unhappy clients for sure, at least for us here in Malta he is the number 1.

    Dear All,

    Time for a reaction from the guy in the head role here, first of all mister Hancock is 100% wright. He should have his birds in his loft a long time ago. Yes, mistakes are made... Yes it should have bin better... But it's not only us that made the mistakes. A few middle man made mistakes also that's why the birds stayed behind in the UK and are now back in our lofts. BUT the only reason why we did not refund mister Hancock is because he did posts like these on the Internet only after a few weeks of delay. People should realize that a lot of red tape is involved some times, Rules change never before we needed to go through the UK... What mister Hancock does not tell that ALL other birds in the same shipment are in the US for months!!!

    All together, I believe that the way that mister Hancock choose to get his money back was not the good one. It's so easy to destroy someone over the Internet. It's low and unnecessary... I would be happy to refund mister Hancock I do not need 800, - from him because this is where it's all about. BUT I will not as long as he is continuing this campaign...

    This seems to the general attitude with Jan de Wijs...There have been numerous buyers here in South Africa that have not recieved their bird nor have they recieved any refunds on monies spent... Granted there are occasions when delays arise with shipments..quaranteen..etc. But as soon as you threaten Jan to expose his dealings he just ignores all requests to resolve the problem. I notice in some of the posts here..about the "Highest Tree"..catching the wind..are Quotes often used by Jan himself...As well as "I do not need your money" whatever the amount may be. I have been promised a refund for over 2 years now...still waiting... I will gladly forward all mails between Jan de Wijs and myself to anyone interested in seeing for themselves just how he operates...

    I can confirm the complaint. Mr. Jan de Wijs from Europigeons.nl is a real cheater. I bought several pigeons from him which I had already paid to him. I never received the pigeons. After many emails he promised me to refund the money. Now, 10 months later I still did not received the refund from him. I also heard some rumours that he is cheating his suppliers of pigeons, they also did not get the money. People watch out for this creep. He will disappoint you, that's for sure.

    I have been contacted by Jan de Wijs and informed that he will refund my monies..but only if I remove my post on this site...I am prepared to give him the "chance' to make good on this matter. Any advice on how to remove posts..

    Today we did refund the 150, - for the bird that died in quarantine. Next time just communicate with us. Fixing business related things this way is not the way... It's crazy this topic is still here, the original case was solved in 2012!!! The website just refuses to delete it... Unless we pay... Anyway, I am happy the case is closed now and I hope you are happy with the solution... Good luck this season...

    Thanks for your reply... I also would like to thank you for using your real name! This is the way it should be, the other guys can learn a lesson from that. We have over 2500 fanciers world wide who bought a bird(s) from us, not all of them can be happy. It would be great that if someone has a complaint they use their real names and they state both sides of the story...

    It is so easy to file a complaint behind a nick name!!!

    Anyway good luck this season I am very happy that you are a happy customer again... Please keep me posted on the results of the other birds you have bought from us in the past!

    I contact to Mr Jan de Wijs in January to ask if he can help to transport some pigeon from Germany to Finland. He told me if i buy some pigeon from him. i buoght a pigeon from him and 5 rare color pigeon from Germany. he told me that i have to buy the money fast that he can send the pigeon so i did it. he told me that the pigeon in loft next week after i bay the money. no pigeon came i contact him where are the pigeon. he told his friend to birg the pigeon he couldn't, but next week then he told me same thing again. (next week) again no bird. he told me the pigeon will be at your home next Wenesday 3 o'clock. I took day of from work and wait. no bird came. i asked him if Finland is hard to deliver what about Sweden. He told me Sweden is eazy for him. i called to cousin who lives in Sweden if she can take the pigeon for me. no pigeon came. i contact him where are pigeon. he told the track was so big that it couldn't go my cousin adress!
    so the bird are come back to him Back to Holland. i don't know why the track driver didn't call my cousin to pick the bird from some where? he told his friend Eric will bring the pigeon to cousin 2 weeks ago. no bird came. i contact him again. he told me that pigeon are in Sweden and Eric will bring the pigeon cousin. my cousin wait his friend Eric no pigeon. i contact him and i said this ### has to stop not miss my time. i said to him he has time until next week Monday 2.6.2014. no bird and anther story. I was contacting to the police. he told that he will bring the pigeon next week Wednesday 11.6.2014 no bird. so he big cheater and layer. so be carefull with him. i'm calling for the Netherlands police and se what the law say about his business.

    I paid with paypal eyropigeons 442e. after 30 days I did complaint to paypal for europigeons!!! I asks for the money back.

    Dear friends, beware DO NOT BUY FROM “Jan de Wijs” or his company “Europigeons.nl”.
    He is a cheater, lier and a deceitful con-man. He sells pigeons that do not exist, he keep advertises pigeons as having one type of amazing eye and they are a totally lies and in the best case if he ship to you then will ships pigeons that are in such appalling condition, they cannot even fly. He is swindler and not a trustworthy and the worst person you ever come across.
    Please stay away from this charlatan!
    Just Google “Jan de Wijs” and you will see that MANY people all over the world have had problems from this terrible man.
