Estes Express Lines Horrible Company

For 3 weeks we have been waiting for our refrigerator they were supposed to deliver. Each time the delivery men come out they find a new reason why they can't do it. They are lazy and disrespectful! I have all of both issues on camera and documented. They have caused so much stress. Me having a heart condition and dealing with such horrible people I am seriously considering seeking legal counsel. Especially with all the proof. I can't believe the delivery guy said F U to me and left with our refrigerator because he didn't want to wait till things were resolved with the company. Do not use this company for any reason you will be sorry!

Desired outcome: You need to make sure this doesn't happen again and handle this situation immediately. Refund money that has been wasted!

Estes Express Lines Delivery

I had delivery rescheduled 3 times and each time I provided with a number to call. They proceeded to call the old number each time. I don't know how many times you have to explain to someone before they get something. If a driver is 30 minutes away and I call back within 10 minutes how did you already leave. I don't know how Estes is in business with the incompetence. Home Depot did not help with the delivery issue.

Estes Express Lines Delivery time

I was given a delivery day and time of the 22nd of April and now my delivery date has changed to the 28th even tho it’s been sitting in Norfolk Virginia since April 12th yes that’s my city. Like Home Depot this company is completely unreliable and does not stick to delivery dates scheduled or needed. This isn’t the 1st time this has happened but I can guarantee it will be the last time.

Desired outcome: Does it really matter? 1 company will just blame the other and except NO responsibility.

Estes Express Lines Poor delivery service and customer service...beware.

Worst shipping company in the United States bar none. I have tried to contact this company that has a shipment for me that has been at its local distribution facility for over 14 days now and it's less than 30 miles from the delivery point. No one has returned calls, management has not returned any calls and customer service is useless and full of excuses.

Estes Express Lines Commercial trucks illegally driving thru my residential neighborhood

Estes commercial trucks illegally driving thru my residential neighborhood, in order to avoid the congested 10 Freeway or other traffic laden truck routes in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. On January 3, 2022, at 11:20 AM Pacific time, I witnessed one of these 18-wheel Estes commercial delivery truck's going eastbound on 6th Street thru my residential neighborhood, entering against posted "No Trucks over 3 Tons allowed" traffic signs at Hellman Avenue. This same Estes truck continued eastbound on 6th Street in a right turn lane only, creating an even more dangerous situation by compounding the first traffic violation the truck driver committed.

There is a serious problem with commercial 18-wheel trucks using my residential neighborhood to avoid other traffic congested truck routes, and putting my neighborhood in danger with a traffic collision with one of these trucks that shouldn't be on this street. I witnessed two other Estes 18-wheel trucks also commit these violations this same day.

Desired outcome: Estes monitor the routes of its delivery drivers and hold them accountable

Estes Express Lines Product damaged during shipping

We have made many shipments with Estes and all have been good except the last one. Before I go on, our driver (Jim) from the Columbia, MO location is excellent. No problems there.

Our last shipment arrived to our customer broken in half in two places. Although it was left at the customer's house, she did not sign for it because of the damage and the Estes driver took several pictures of it.

We filed a claim with Estes soon after and provided pictures of the item before it shipped and after it was delivered. We also provided all paperwork required by Estes (which is a lot). We finally received an email from the claims department saying they were rejecting the claim because their records show it was delivered in good condition. It obviously was not.

We emailed them back asking them how they could say it was delivered in good condition if the customer didn't sign for it and their own driver took pictures of the damage. And again, we provided pictures of the item before they picked it up and of the damage when it was delivered. We've sent three emails now and they will not even respond.

You really find out what a company is all about when things don't go right on their end. Because of this, we will no longer use Estes Express for our freight needs.

Desired outcome: Would like to be reimbursed for the broken item and for the shipping.

Estes Express Lines My Damaged Equipment

Estes shipped a very expensive, non replaceable piece of machinery for my Metal Fabrication business. The forklift driver drove into the machine instead of picking it up from under the pallet. They damaged the front panel and broke all of the controls, all of the linkages and the foot control pedals. They caused $16, 000 in damage to my equipment. I paid for the damage and submitted a claim with proof of cost and payment and they denied my claim. How can a company cause $16K worth of damage to someone's equipment and then get away with not paying for it. I am a small business owner that makes American made products and keep employees on payroll even through the Covid downturn. This is a substantial hit to my business and a logistic that doesn't care. Don't use this company, they have no values and will not cover the damage they cause. They get bonuses based on how much they deny in claims so they are quick to deny you. This is a horrible business practice, they set up their employees to deny claims so they get bigger checks.

Desired outcome: Get reimbursed for my cost.

Estes Express Lines From pick up to Delivery has been a cluster F**** and still is!!!!

Your people can not get it on a truck to me! I tried to pic it up in Dallas!
And they would not let me. Set 2 days in Ft Worth It was 2 more days to They would not let me pick it up because they do not have enough people.
It set on the drive way for 2 days now. It`s on a trailer setting on the lot waiting.
The motor is for my work truck and I need it. I would like someone call me about this shipment ! John Hilton [protected]

Estes Express Lines Unprofessional driver

02/18/2021 @ 6pm Estes truck exiting American Woodmark Plant Rt.220 Driver RAN STOP sign, NO effort whatsoever to stop or even slow down. Pulled out in front of oncoming traffic as I was traveling Rt.220 NB driving plow truck with 8' bright yellow plow. Driver negotiated the turn onto Rt. 220 NB at dangerous speed in snow/rain/freezing conditions. Estes truck traveled NB in excess of posted speed limit of 50 mph by at least 10 mph, and continued into 40 mph posted zone travelling in excess of 10 mph, then into Cresaptown in a 30 mph zone where the Estes driver exceeded away from me. I was able to get the trailer number # 482305, so the company has no excuse as to ascertaining the driver. This driver is a potential death/liability threat to Estes and should be removed from behind the wheel. But most likely nothing will be done and the driver will continue till death do us part. Totally unprofessional truck driver.

Estes Express Lines Damage to shipment was hidden

My husband contracted with Estes Express Lines and a local affiliated transport company (RAC Taos) to ship a sofa from our private home in New Mexico to our son's private home in New York. He paid the shipping cost and was given a pick-up date but they never showed up. After several reminders and several unkept pick-up dates, he hired at his own expense a local delivery man to deliver it to the local company warehouse. It sat there for a couple of weeks and was eventually transported to their main hub in Albuquerque. It eventually made it to New York more than a month after it had been given to them.
A delivery date was set but on the said date, the delivery men refused to bring the sofa inside the building 'because of Covid risks' and left it on the pavement in Manhattan, where our son was told to collect it. The top and sides of the sofa/packaging did not show any visible sign of damage so he signed a clean release. However once the movers left and he lifted it with the help of the doorman, it became clear that the packaging under the sofa had been badly damaged (which is probably why the delivery men would not move it in front of our son). Upon unpacking, it was found that the underside of the sofa had been crushed and two legs had been ripped (one was lost).
I contacted Estes within minutes of the driver leaving and my being informed of the damage, was bounced back from one department to the other, was asked to submit multiple forms and pictures. Having not had any reply from them after several days, my husband was told his claim could not be considered until he submitted a repair invoice.
When the sofa was eventually repaired and the invoice submitted, the claim was denied because 'no damage had been reported at the time of delivery'. Of course, the damage had been HIDDEN on purpose!

Desired outcome: reimburse repairs

Estes Express Lines Driver

Driver pulling double trailer on Highway 76 in Girard, OH. Literally pulled in front of me at 65 mph and waited till my front bumper was in front of rear trailer. I know there is poor judement on that distance but I was clearly traveling faster than the driver. It was a blatent purposeful cutoff. He had at least 10 seconds to make the move but waited till I was beside the truck. Truck had Tennessee plates but my photo came out not readable. I know you dont have to be smart to drive a truck but there are lives at stake on the highway traveling every day. I take same route to work every day at 5am and always have a problem with retards driving trucks either cutting me off or just holding up the entire world by driving too slow. Stay in the goddamn right lane where you belong you [censored]s!

Estes Express Lines driver

Was entering I-10 from 146 and truck driver did not slow down for merging onto highway from ramp, traffic was fully stopped, driver kept going at least 30 MPh through the emergency lane almost hitting us and the cars in front of us, did not slow down until the next exit, there was 2 people in the cab of the truck neither one thought there was anything wrong with what they did. Got further down I-10 passed truck on the left side and then truck started to get into my lane right next to me I had to drive into the emergency lane to avoid being hit by driver

Estes Express Lines delivery

Estes made me wait 2 full days before finally deciding to deliver my order. I am a super small business owner so every second and dollar counts. The driver delivered the material (as had many other trucking companies done in the past) and then I was hit with a $75 inside delivery fee. At no time did anyone mention there would be a fee to pull my skids inside my building vs pulling them into the parking lot (the same exact distance). Had I known, I would have had him put them in the parking lot and hand brought them into the building. How is this a fair business practice? I can't sell merchandise and then add on additional fees that I didn't tell the customer about. Customer service was zero help and let my 5 emails go unanswered. Very poor business practices.

Estes Express Lines 11/27/18 driver of trailer #528039 on us highway 169 in southern mn

After tailgating (within one car length) my wife and me for 2+ miles northbound on Hwy 169 (I was traveling 55 in a 60 zone) and continuing to tailgate us for 1+ miles through the town of Winnebago (at 35 in a 30 zone), this [censored] decided to try to run me off the road once we again resumed highway speed. I flipped him off as he passed and he quickly pulled his rig over when the trailer was only 2/3 past us. I contacted the MN State Troopers' office but, of course, they did nothing. This [censored] needs to understand that nearly 20% of all adult male drivers in MN have a carry permit. If this ever happens to me again, I'll be taking aim first at the trailer tires and then at the cab, given the attempted murder by Estes' driver.

Estes Express Lines build.com shipment

Worst Service ever. Ordered from Build.com 23 pieces. First piece came from USPS 2 days later. other 22 not so much. They used Estes. I got an immediate "shipped" notification. Almost a week later I got a tracking # saying the shipment was in their Delaware warehouse (I am in eastern PA, half hour away.
5 days later I called and got a 4 phone call, 3 person runaround that ended in a lot of "not my fault". Supposed to get a call today to "Schedule" meanwhile my contractors are sitting on their hands.

Estes Express Lines did not return my entire deposit

We stayed at the rocky mountain peak view house from 8/14 to 8/17. cleaning fee charged was $199 for 3 nights. I am disappointed that you have to deduct $39.50 for the dishes from the $500 deposit.

. I made sure that I cleaned everything and turned the dishwasher on at check- out. The whole morning of the check- out we had spent to clean the house and made sure everything is in order. we were very careful during the entire stay and I can for sure state that we did not leave dirty dishes in the sink. I personally turned on the dishwasher before I left to the airport. I also emptied all the garbage and left in garage. it was a lot of work at checkout but I did it.

Also to note, the basement bedroom and bathroom was not cleaned well by the cleaning crew before our arrival. the bathroom rug in basement needs to be changed, it is dirty. The comforters in the basement is musty ( did they wash it before we arrived? ) and my son got allergies after using it . we were lucky that the weather was nice so he used 2 sheets instead.

The garage is overflowing with plastic bags from rental previous stay and was not taken by the crew. I had to walk through all of this in the garage when I tried to park in the garage, I did not make a big deal out of all this after we left. We were busy going out for our family reunion.

I personally bagged all garbage from kitchen, bathrooms, placed the plastic bag in garage. No recycling bins or instructions, I took back all the recycling stuff to a recycling bin close by in estes park because we hated to trash them in the regular stuff.

I put away all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and pretty sure I turned on. There was not a single dirty item left out in the sink for the cleaning crew as far as I can remember.

On July 18, 2017 I was called by Estes Express Lines of Amarillo Texas, [protected].

They informed me that the shipment I was expecting would be delivered Friday, July 21, 3017 between 2:00an 6:00 PM.

After waiting all afternoon I called Estes Express and was told the shipment, [protected], is still awaiting departure from Memphis TN.

I am not only unhappy that the Shipment was not Delivered but also that Estes Express did not have the courtesy or the customer service to call me and advise of the delay.

Estes Express Lines shipping services

I shipped a order from Walmart liquidation company of new electronics 323 items. I booked Estes because I actually had a positive experience with them when Costco another company we buy from used them to ship our order. That shipment went perfect so I booked them when it came time to ship Walmart. I choose Estes over my usual shipping company even though they were 40% more expensive. I was willing to pay the extra for the service unfortunately I recieved worst service than when I used the cheaper alternative Central. When I booked Estes I left simple but clear instructions to not to tamper with the shipments plastic under any circumstances. Unfortunately the instructions were not followed not only was the plastic tampered with the shipment was rearranged for some reason? See attached pictures of the BOL from Estes showing the instructions about the plastic. Also see attached pictures showing the state of the shipment when I recieved it and the state of the shipment from Estes Memphis location taken by their cameras. To make matters worst when the driver showed there was a printer on top not showing in the pictures on top that hit the top of the overhead door and fell off and shattered and damage the printer, the model Canon pixma Mx490. The driver noted that he dropped the unit on the BOL. However when I tried to note the plastic had been tampered with against the directions left byou me on the BOL the driver told me I could not write anything on the BOL that it was against company policy and he would get fired ( see the top of the BOL where I was writing the note about the security plastic I only got the word security and was stopped) I explained to him that I must note for Walmart to do their research if there is an issue or they will not do anything. He told sorry but I cant. At this point Im very upset because I never heard of such a thing. It seemed like a cover up or bad customer service at the very least. It's obvious that Estes is cherry picking from customers shpment, flat out theft.

Estes Express Lines manager's unprofessional behavior

You hit the nail on the head when you said that they are dishonest! I was supposed to be a new hire with them, and was riding with another driver for three nights, and wasn't allowed to drive yet because their headquarters hadn't provided me with a log-in name and password. I had given my former employer over a months notice, and so Estes had that much notice as well. I had trouble with my cell phone provider's network, as their local tower had taken a direct lightning strike, and I was only able to send one message out before the whole thing went down, (unknown to me for close to a week)! But the Manager of the South Bend, Indiana terminal was very unprofessional, and wouldn't even look into it, he just said; "you're not available for re-hire". My former manager was well aware of the situation, as she had tried to contact me without any success, and when informed of this, he chose to ignore it, also!
