Good day,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Engen United Motors regarding an incident that occurred on 07 October 2025, Afternoon
On the above date, your fuel attendant Manaka dispensed diesel amounting to R141 into my vehicle, instead of Petrol 95 for which I requested and intended to pay R150. This error resulted in serious mechanical damage to my vehicle.
Vehicle details:
Make: Hyundai
Model: Atos Prime GLS 1.1
Engine: Petrol
On 19 October 2025, a verbal agreement was reached between Snenhlanhla (Manager) and myself,(customer) that I would submit a quotation for the necessary repairs, including spares and labour from Mr. Khumalo’s workshop.
On 20 November 2025, I followed up on the matter, as well as through a telephone conversation with Snenhlanhla. However, no response or action has been taken by Engen United Motors to resolve this issue to date.
As a direct result of the incorrect fuel dispensed by your attendant, my vehicle has been non-operational. I have incurred significant financial losses, including:
• Repair costs (quotation submitted)
• Towing fees
• Loss of use of my vehicle
Furthermore, my attorneys have also sent communication to the station, but no attempts have been made by the station to settle or address the matter.
I hereby request urgent written confirmation of how Engen United Motors intends to resolve this matter, including compensation for all damages and costs incurred.
Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.
Recommendation: becareful when pouring petrol, the attendants are playful and ignorant
