Embers Restaurant - slow service cold steak
If you are celebrating your 80th birthday with a really fine steak dinner DO NOT go to the Embers in Kenwood. I have had a couple of fine dinners there in the past but something has changed. A $200.00 dinner for two should command a lot more than we received tonight. - especially on my 80th birthday. Cocktails & salad were very good. But then came the 25 minute wait for the entree (steak) which was cold. The manager appeared and took the two meals back to the kitchen and heated them - there goes the medium rare. All in all it was a very disappointing dinner. There seemed to be plenty of servers running about everywhere - except to our table. This is definitely not a great steak house.
