EF Go Ahead Tours review: No support for missed connection and terrible hotels

The disappointment and frustration with EF tours continues. My daughter’s group left yesterday (there were 4 girls
Together on special requested travel so they were by themselves). First itinerary had a canceled flight so they were rebooked with an incredibly short layover through ORD. Needless to say they missed Their connection and EF basically provided no help! Called EF and was told they were aware and were working it and given a case number etc. Then got a text at 5:15 pm on friday saying “hope your first flight was great! We are off for the weekend call the emergency number if needed”. They knew they were going to miss their connection. The person at the number they were given told them to call the airlines and gave no other help. EF had over 6 hours from the time they knew the connection would be missed and it happened and did nothing! The girls then spent several hours in line and on phone at airport to resolve and rebook and parents also helped on the phone with airlines. Isn’t helping travelers their job?! Isn’t this what we paid for? Our girls handled it great but will miss their entire first day on location. Had EF done their job and proactively tried to help they most likely could have gotten to destination easier and faster.

EF has set my expectations pretty low so hopefully it will get better. Although I must say I was extremely disappointed to see all of their hotels are airport hotels! You don’t travel to Europe to be stuck 45
Minutes out of the city at a crappy big box airport hotel. Not to mention the additional time they will waste getting into the cities each day. It’s very obvious that EF is doing everything on the cheap and doesn’t truly care. I would never book again and am telling everyone to stay away from this company!

Recommendation: Do not use this company
