Dear Customer Service,

I bought my ECCO Yucatan Adjustable Strap Leather Sandals in tan at Belk in the Summer of 2019 and only wore them a handful of times that Summer. Due to the Pandemic, I was working from home in the Summer of 2020 and 2021, and I did not wear these sandals when I was out. I pulled them out of the container August 30th, 2023 and the sides of the sole and part of the rubber on the straps is disintegrated and crumbled on both sandals when I put them on. The sole is detaching from the bottom of the sandal. All of the rubber parts on the straps have detached as well.

The quality of these sandals is not up to speed. I wore them only a handful of times. I am astounded, as I loved the fit and looked forward to wearing them more summers than the one. I pay a lot of money for my shoes. All of my L'Artiste sandals are in good shape even after three summers of wear.

Please send me a gift card or money order so I can purchase another pair of sandals that won't fall apart.

Desired outcome: Would like a refund of $140.00 plus tax so that I can replace my sandals. The fit and comfort of these sandals is so good, your quality control needs to work on the manufacturing of the product.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any repairs on the shoes as we do not have the capacity for it here. We truly apologize for any inconvenience.

However, we do have a warranty program! The good news is that you may be eligible to receive some compensation towards another pair of shoes through our warranty program.

Once you have read the terms and conditions, there will be a black box labeled, "accept terms and submit claim." From there, it will take you to a UPS form, where you will continue as a guest.

Be sure to follow the instructions and use your prepaid shipping label provided at the end of the process to send your shoes back to us for our warranty department to review. Please kindly note that this process for inspection could take up to 4-5 weeks. Be sure to keep track of your UPS tracking number, as the last 8-digits will become your warranty claim number. If your shoes are deemed defective, you will not receive them back. We will send you an online coupon voucher to use towards another pair of shoes at us.ecco.com.
