They custom made our house and Gallery built it for us, but we had some issues with the wood beams. We told them about it in an email on 6/5, but it took them until 11/22 to get back to us. Brett K. said they were looking into options to replace the beams. It's been almost 2 years and we've been emailing them to try to fix the problem. I emailed Brett K. on January 7 about the A Frame wood rotting away. Kenny M came out on February 23 to look at the beams and said a subcontractor would come out. Today, 4/7, a subcontractor came to our house without an appointment and said they would replace 2 beams and reseal the columns.

This place is a mess! We bought our house from Gallery Homes of Deland and it's been a nightmare. The grout is falling out, the dining room wall is warped, the porch is cracking, and the front yard is unsafe. We had a realtor with us during the walk-through and the sales girl and site manager were so rude and defensive. They acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us buy the house. We asked for fixes and the site manager refused to change anything. We had to stop the walk-through and ask for another representative. The sales girl didn't even get the paint color right and we didn't get irrigation like we were promised. The wall in the dining room is a mess and the site manager said it can't be fixed. There's also a dip in the lanai and a crack that just appeared. They didn't clear all the trees like they said they would and the yard isn't sloped like they promised. We've asked for more fill dirt but they won't do it. They treat us like we're not customers and it's unacceptable. The electrical flickers too and they won't fix it. Don't waste your money here!

Gallery Homes of DeLand hasn't sent me my $800 reimbursement, warranty info, and home owner's manual since my closing on Apr 20th. I'm disabled with serious chronic illness and my partner is a senior citizen. My son is active military. I bought a home from Gallery Homes of DeLand on March 8th. The closing took place remotely/out-of-state on April 20, as I've been shelter-in-place in Pennsylvania due to my county's long lock-down for coronavirus and my high-risk for serious complications if I were to contract it. After the virtual walk-through on April 20, Madeline S, a realtor with Gallery Homes of DeLand, was to mail my home owners manual to me. And Alison R, also employed by Gallery Homes, was to send my $800 welcome gift card and my warranties and other paperwork. The gift card is a reimbursement for a landscaping package that was omitted from the purchase but for which I was charged. I have an email from Alison R dated April 30th apologizing for the delay in getting the documents to me and stating, "I am mailing out some of the warranty docs to you today, as well as your $800 gift card." Yet as of today, June 6, and despite multiple communications, I have not received these items. I have sent multiple emails to both Alison and Madeline that have gone unanswered. I have left voice mail messages for Alison that have not been returned. Then I called the office on the morning of May 26th and spoke with a woman who sounded like Alison R although she did not identify herself. I asked her to help me with my problem and she said that she would. Later that afternoon, I received an email from Kerri H, who works for Gallery Homes, stating, "I am reaching out to Alison to inquire about the gift card, warranty books and the homeowner's manual." When I sent a follow-up email to Kerri asking for my reimbursement and documents, I received no response. I also never heard from Alison R, assuming Kerri had given her the message. So, I called the office again and asked to speak to Bob F, who is the CEO of Gallery Homes. The person who answered the phone identified herself as Alison R and she would not put me through to Bob. In any event, on the phone Alison apologized and said there was no excuse for her not mailing out my reimbursement and my documents. She said she meant to get my mailing address in Pennsylvania but never got around to it -- but I had emailed her my address on April 20th and asked her to mail my documents and reimbursement to me, another email to which Alison never responded. On the phone call Alison PROMISED she would take everything to the post office and mail it that day. Clearly, she did not. And I do not know why these people choose to harass and treat me very unfairly. All of this time I have been prevented from getting modifications done on the house to support my health and recovery because I do not have the information contained in the home owner's documents. This has caused me great emotional and physical suffering on account of my health, a serious condition of which both Alison and Madeline are aware. I bought the house so I could move into a clean environment that might save my life. And I have done everything in my power to be polite and to continue to ask for my reimbursement and documents. But they have done everything in their power to block me, thwart me, and outright lie to me. Clearly they have engaged in unfair and deceptive business practices. I find Alison R to be particularly despicable and unconscionable.
